Re: Worst Vacation.IC ( )

Postby Lucy Knox on Sun Jun 29, 2008 3:40 pm

Bella bit her lip hard, and it was all she could do to keep herself from crying, as David mentioned that the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was based from a true story. She was about to through something at the window behind her and clilmb out of this hell-whole. It was hard for her not to just start freaking out or something, not knowing what she would do if she ever lost Chris.

Alex still continued to stay quiet, holding Jess a little tighter as he listened to the others talk. Even if he died protecting the girl in his arms, he wouldn't let anything harm her.
It's not my fault that fantasy is better than reality now, is it?

Is it so wrong that my only escape is a place that I can't even escape to?

Jessica was very still and quiet in Alex's arms, her mind a million miles away from the conversations in the room. Something had finally occured to her, something that had been tugging at the back of her mind ever since Amanda had returned. She finally looked towards the others and cleared her throat, wetting her lips nervously before speaking.

"Amanda? How did you get out of the basement? Do you remember," she spoke in a flat tone.

She was all but positive that whoever had taken Amanda hadn't snuck past them through the stairs. This meant there was another way out of the basement. Secret passageways, maybe? It was a bit of a random thought, but important if they were forced to stay the night here.

"There was the coal shute," Dave said. "It leads outside, but I don't know whether the doors at the top are locked, and I don't know how narrow it is. But Amanda turned up in Michelle's room, right? So maybe this house is linked up in different places. Do you remember what happened, Amanda?" He hadn't wanted to press her for information before, but now the situation was too desperate.

Bella and Alex both listened intently, and Alex tightened his grip a little on Jess as everyone spoke. He really couldn't loose the girl in his arms. And Bella was beside herself with worry for the other three of their friends. Still, if anything ever happened to Chris...

Only halfway staying in the conversation, Bella turned to look out the window, her eyes becoming watery, but she wouldn't let anyone see.

"M-maybe there are...like secret passageways. Ways to get from place to place without being detected. Trap doors and slides leading from one place to another...But we need to stay out of them. We need to find out where they are and where each one leads too, so we know, but then stay away. If whoever is in here finds out we know about them, if they even exists, he could trick us with ones we don't know." She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, still not daring to turn around, holding her phone tightly in her hand, wishing it would ring or work or something!

Michelle walked up to her sister and hugged her. The entire gang was now in the kitchen close to eachother. Safe.

The more Michelle heard the panic in everybody's voices the more worried she became. Chris was missing and she could see Bella wasn't taking it very well.

"We'll get out of here sis. I'll be bugging you for life, I promis." she said and took her sisters head in her chest.

With her sister in her arms she looked around the kitchen. No sign of Chris. Everybody worried about Chris. Michelle however had a different concern.

Michael.

Just like Chris he was nowhere to be found and although they weren't officially a couple. He was the only boy, MIchelle ever felt comfortable with. Maybe she loved him. But she would never show that to anybody. Especially not to the girl in her arms.

"Chris will be back soon," she said, trying to comfort her baby sister.

Jessica looked up at Alex, smiling slightly. She was so thankful that he was here with her. If he had been with the other group and missing like Chris, she didn't know what she would do. The very thought made her feel sick. Her glance moved back to her friend, Bella.

"This is risky and probably dumb, but maybe we should go looking for the others. If we all stay together in a very close group, we should be fine."

Every good sense in her was screaming that it was stupid to even think about walking around this place. But, some of her friends were wandering around while someone else was here. Sometimes good sense takes a back seat to the people you care about.

-------

Chris moved into the nearly filled kitchen, taking in the view of his panicked friends. He frowned and quicked a brow, placing a hand on his hip.

"What's everyone so down about? Someone die," he laughed.

Bella hugged Michelle back. She knew that she wasn't the only one with someone so close like Chris in the other group, so she felt kinda bad for getting so upset over it. However, she couldn't help herself. Other than Jess, her boyfriend was her everything. Without him, she couldn't think about how she'd go on anymore, especially if he...if he....she couldn't even think it.

Hearing his voice, her head snapped up, wondering if it had just been a wonderful dream. Seeing him brought happy tears to her eyes and ran to him, practically knocking the two of them down as she threw her arms around him. "Oh my god, I'm so glad you're ok, and safe, and here!" She said, not letting go.

Alex was glad to see his brother and hugged Jess closer to him, kissing her forehead softly a few times. "Yo bro, where are the others?" He asked about Diana and Michael.

A few seconds later both stepped inside the kitchen.

"We need to find a way to get the doors open. We almost got locked inside a room when the doors closed," Michael said.

"Diana got her elbow scratched. Do we have bandages orsomething here," he asked in general.

Michelle stood up and went into the hall and opened a closet.
"Same closet as the fusebox," she said wise.

She took the first aid kit and went back into the kitchen.
"Let me see your arm Di." Michelle had a little knowledge of first aid but she didn't think any of the others were in a state to bandage a banana so she took the task on herself.

"Nothing very bad, just keep it clean."

She stood up and looked around the kitchen. The whole gang. She grinned. This was supposed to be a good holiday and here they were. Locked in, assembled in a kitchen.

"So... now what?"

Jessica breathed out a sigh of relief as the others walked in. They were all here now and everything was going to be fine, if they just stuck together. She leaned her head against Alex's chest, listening to the rythm of his heartbeat. It was calming and that was what she needed, to stay calm.

-----------------------

Chris hugged Bella close to him, planting a small kiss to the top of her head. "I'm glad I'm here too. Mind informing me of why everyone looks so freaked...besides the fact that this place suddenly went into lock down?" He pulled back from Bella, placing a hand to each side of her face and wiping away a tear with his thumb.

"Are you alright, Bella? Did something happen to you," his tone had become very serious. When it involved Bella, it always was serious.

Dave felt a sense of relief as Diana walked into the kitchen too. Michelle sorted out her arm and she looked around at them all worriedly.

"What happened? We heard shouting and stuff ... but it was dark and me and Chris were in the attic, and we couldn't find the way down. Then Dave's voice came through the intercom and we finally found the door. What happened?"

Dave shook his head. "We're not alone in here," he said. "Someone grabbed Manda. We need to find a way out and all the doors and windows are locked. Who had the key?"

((By the way, I'm playing Di but I don't remember her relationships and I can't find the OOC thread. Does anyone know who was her boyfriend or whatever?))

(diana is with joey. and the OOC thread has been moved to the Out Of Character place if anyone else hasn't been able to find it)

"Well, Dave, Manders, and Jess were in the basement and as a joke we decided to lock them in then someone else was there and they stole Manda. Michelle found her. And the lock got stuck and wouldn't, and oh, it was horrible!" Bella told Chris, along with the others who hadn't been there. She was glad that he was back in her arms, and safe.

Alex just watched everyone interact, knowing that nothing he had to say would help any of them in any way. he just continued to hold Jess, running one of his hands through her hair, the other gentle rubbing up and down her back. "We do need to find a way out of here. We're lucky nothing serious happened to Amanda." He said, only loud enough for the other to hear, in case anyone else was listening in.

Joey was instantly calmed when Diana came back, breathing a small sigh of relief before stepping forward, just wanting to keep her safe in his arms. He pulled his girl into a tight hug and gently kissed her forehead, glad she hadn't been taken.

Amanda stood in salience, feeling strangely detached from the rest as the group as she stayed still, her hand clasped with Dave's in an attempt at calming herself.

"But who had the damn key?" Dave shouted now. No one had answered his question and he had become very frustrated and scared, which was most unlike himself. Usually he was quiet, calm and kind and the best one at resolving problems. Now he couldn't keep control of himself.

From Joey's arms, Diana looked over at him. "Calm down, Dave. Everything's going to be fine." As one of the ones who hadn't been around at the time of the true terror, she couldn't help but be calmer than the others.

Amanda placed her free hand on Dave's shoulder, squeezing it lightly.

Re: Worst Vacation.IC ( )

"Maybe we should check to library?" Bella suggested. "If this place has any books on the building, it's most likely in either their, or an office which is normally close to it." It was mostly common sense, but the blonde did love movies with this kind of thing in it. However, she had never expected the knowledge to ever be used to reality.

"I hate to agree, but that would make most sense." Alex said, only agreeing so they could get out of the place. After that, he would make up for it. In fact...he had a funny idea for while they were there to entertain them since they were stuck.

Jessica nodded in agreement as well. "Definately, Bella. If anything we should probably keep moving incase whoever's here is trying to plan something." She auotmatically shivered at the thought of some stranger watching her and her friends. It was so intrusive and violating. It very nearly made her sick.

-------

Chris soothed Bella, rubbing his hands up and down her arms. "Sounds like a plan to me." He reached into his pocket and searched around for a moment, removing his cellphone. "For some reason I can't get service here anymore. Makes me think we're dealing with something very planned out," he looked towards the others. His hand slid into Bella's and gave a light squeeze.

"Why does going to the library make sense?," Michelle asked in general. "What if we all get locked up in there the moment we enter?"

She had an idea. Not everybody would like it but at the moment it would make the most sense to her.

"Here's the thing. We split in two groups. Mike and Chris have seen more of this house than we all did. Them and me could go find someway out of here and see if we can find anything usefull and the others go to the library. This way, if something happens inside the library, we can get you out."

She waited a bit for reaction. Not sure how her sister would react to the fact of leaving Chris alone again.

When nobody answered fast enough she tapped her foot.

"Well...?"

"Not unless I come with you guys. No!" Bella said, she wasn't going to leave Chris. He meant the world to her, and she hated not knowing where he was or if he was ok. The phones were out so she wouldn't have contact, and that would NOT work for the girl. She would refuse until someone dragged her away, but even with that she would put up a fight. Thinking all of that, Bells, tightened her grip tighter around her boyfriend.

"But the library would make sense because of the books. That's most likely where the mapout would go, with the secret passageways." She told her sister, so she could see the reasoning behind it.

Alex just continued to be quiet, holding Jess, refusing to seperate with her, and preparing to slap anyone who suggested it.

"Dave, will you shut up about the key," Diana said impatiently. "Look, I agree with Michelle. If we split up, we have more chance of helping each other if one group gets into trouble."

"The key had been left on the front desk. I remember seeing it when Jess and I headed upstairs. So unless someone else took it, one of us or not, it should be there. However, my guess is that whoever else is in this house, other than the ten of us, has that key." Bella said, her voice shook slightly at that relization. "Either way, we need to check the front desk." She was shaking slightly, knowing that her and Chris might be split up again, and dreading it. The teams would be uneven, and she'd be losing her boyfriend, sister, and one of her really good friends.
