I'm new here but i hail from another site that does some pretty good role playing so i am pretty experienced.

Anyway this RP is a broad fantasy RP, broad as in many many things exist within its world, i will outline the basics and we will decide on a starting villain but most of it will be completely dictated in character.

It takes place in the world of Xanadin, Xanadin has large a Continent with many different empires, the continent is surrounded by water and a few more smaller continents that i will leave the details vague and open for the time being.

Magic does exist within the world, but its not something every commoner has, its as not quite rare but not common ether. Mythical beasts also exist, some being common but things like dragons being much more rare. I will not name too much yet as the world should be created mostly together in character. However the center of the Continent has a mix match of people, the east is more tribal and barbaric, the north is cold and mages and magic is plentiful, the south is where magic is very rare but they are more industrialized and technological (as far as middle age times go) and the west is more unknown where mythical creatures roam plentiful but little is known about civilization there.

The starting players will simply start in a small town located in the middle kingdom, to get things started we shall call the town Estana, after that people may still join at anytime, i will make the RP topic after we have around 6 players and a designated villain.

The only rule i have for joining is you MUST be active please do not flake out on me, and try not to overpower your characters. Everything else is common sense.

BIO: Ise hails from the northern ice waters, from the bed of corals, ceilings made from pure ice, that the nagas have made their home out of, the naga race are consists of fierce defenders of their waters and the land around, fighters and spell users alike, but most of them are shy and prefer to stay underwater, they are often spotted lazing around the beaches, or found hunting small mammals in the forests or swamps near the waters of their homes.

However, some are more daring to leave their homes to explore the living land above, and Ise is one them, she gave up her job as a royal magic adviser, and started to explore the dry lands. Being fresh from the water world to the living creatures of the day and night, she have been learning their ways, and found out that they are very much like themselves, with the exception of the many kinds of races that can rival the types of fishes that lives underwater

Ability's: a power Mage that hails from the seas, excels at ice,water and wind magic, only able to cast simple flame magic, as their kind does not practice fire, as it is impossible to learn with all the water around. Ise's best magic element is Ice and water.

unarmed, in other worlds, her battles fought are of pure magic, if one can seal her magic during a battle, which almost never happens, they have a high chance of defeating her.

others: Ise is a good friend and officer to the naga royal family, even though she have left her hometown, the oldest prince whose the closest to her as a friend, demands that at least once every week that she will give her report of the dry lands, of what she have learnt and observed, and to give a peace of mind to her family and friends.

Ise only have came out of the seas for about a year now.

You say you need a villain idea? I have an idea that involves darkness and light colliding. As in darkness would be taking over the land led by a dark elf named Zeke who turns the weak minded into his ‘minions’ to create an army and can pull Shadows from the dark realm. (Shadows would be much like heartless from KH) I could play Zeke if you wanted? And I have a character that fits in with this?
It’s just an idea. =]

Here’s my character, if you like the idea, obviously parts can be taken out to mould him into different ideas.

BIO:
Three years ago the darkness came, it saw its downfall in the strength of the elves but even it could not find their heart, so with a fist of fire and evil it destroyed the purely elven city, Pallor. If it could not find the elves heart it would break it by killing their Prince. Archer of the elves. This worked. Pallor fell and every resident, including Prince Archer was thought dead and to show their fury at the other civilisations for allowing this to happen and not coming in Pallor’s time of need the King of elves drew back into his hidden city to mourn the loss of his beloved son and people. Closing the city so that if any were lucky enough to find it they would never get inside. Even messages can not reach the elven heart now.

The irony of it all is that the prince survived, the prince of elves survived this attack when Zeke singled him out to try and turn him into a monster, he planted the seed of darkness within the young prince but Archer fought it away, he fought Zeke away but by the time he forced Zeke into surrender the city was lost, his people were dead and he could only run as he was half carried out by his nurse Maria.

Maria and Archer suffered great loss that day, and many horrible wounds, Archer vowed that no matter what he would avenge the death of his people. He had never been to the hidden city before that day, the heart of the elves remains closed to him still as he can not locate it, it is as if they never existed. And elf not in the heart that day was shut out including the prince, to them he is dead, even Zeke thinks him dead as he remains in hiding in a small town going by the name of Demetrius ’Demi’ Clearwater.

Ability's:
As an elf Demi is agile, fast moving and highly accurate in aim. His main weapon is that of the bow and arrow but he can also fight quite well with a sword. He can not use magic as he has not been trained to do so.

Age: unknown (looks around mid 20's)

BIO: She is an elf assassin. She is very stealthy and secretive. She always follows her own agenda and no one realy knows what that is. She isnt really evil but she has done some evil things. It is unknown where she comes from or what her heritage is, not many live long enough in her presence to find out.

Many kind of races do exist, Elves Dwarves and the like, there culture is not necessarily what you would find in a Tolkien book though, its up to us as we play to create that stuff.

Anyway if you are interested in being a villain you are free to do so, if someone else also wants to be a villain i can always roll a die to dictate who gets the slot. Just understand the importance of being the villain.

The villain is the sticky glue that holds the RP together, its the heroes motivation within the world. The villain often plans a lot more and keeps the plot moving so generally the villain is the most active player in the RP. If you feel you can handle that responsibility then you are welcome to be the villain.

If anyone does not get to be the villain don't feel bad, i intend to keep this RP going so the first villain will be the big guy of Arc 1, for the next Arc we will have a new villain, Also i am sure you can play a minor villain within any Arc as long as you don't get carried away.

A friend of mine is also going to join the RP, once she does ill make my character and once everyone's character sheets are complete we will start. Thanks for joining.

Cool stuff. =] Well I've finished my character sheet for my elven prince. =] I may create Zeke, but his main agenda will be to find the hidden elven city and destroy that and to recruit as many of the other races as he can. It is a fact that is known by a rare few that both light and dark elves can be born from the same people and share the same parents. A fact known by fewer people is that Alexia, Queen of elves, did not only give birth to one son, but two. The first and eldest son of hers was born and taken away with little knowledge of him given to the outside world. He was an elf of darkness and it could never be known that a dark elf came from the queen.

They shipped him off to distant lands where he was to grow up in ignorance of his true parentage and given a name that meant light. His foster parents loved him dearly and tried to bring him up in the right way, not realising that he knew all along that they were lying to him. Call it the darkness’s intuition, or just the fact that he had his own mentor, that of the demon king who lives in the darkest of realms. The king twisted Zeke’s mind taking him out of the light and renaming him.

When Zeke turned 18 he demanded the truth from his parents, and when they would not, could not, give it he lost his temper and slew them in cold blood. He washed his hands in their blood that day and vowed to have revenge on those who had sent him to be brought up in this pitiful far away land. The demon king told him that he was more powerful than that, he could do more using the will of the darkness. He reminded Zeke of one simple thing.

Wherever there is light, darkness is always there first.

Zeke travelled to his home land where he spent a year learning the truth, he had been replaced by some sort of weak light elf. A brother who was two years younger and definitely weaker. He would rid the world of this brother of his and take his rightful place as prince, and then with him at the front of the elven army he would take over this land and release the darkness, with enough souls under the darkness’s control the Demon king would be able to rise again.

Zeke can slip in and out of the realm of darkness and create Shadow’s at his will. His anger makes him strong and he wields a large sword that is obviously too big for him, but he has the strength to lift and use it. He can plant seeds of darkness in anyone at will and the weaker of them turn to his side, or the stronger ones who want to turn to his side. In the same way if you have enough anger inside of you the seed of darkness could already be there.

Name: Mason Carthag

Age 35

BIO Mason is an older battle hardened veteran, he has served in many different army's and wars under a variety of flags. He started at the age of sixteen, Most men employed in his line of work do not live to see his age, his years of experience have granted him both skill and wisdom in the art of battle. He has seen much so its rare that something shocks him, he speaks slowly and gently and is slow to anger. In his more recent days he has become a mercenary and bounty hunter.

Appearance: Around 6 foot with an average to stocky build, his hair is a gray buzz cut, He has a scar across his left eye and that eye is completely white, he often wears steel leggings and a chain mail top that covers his torso and arms. He carries a broad sword, a belt full of daggers and a small hand axe holstered to the side of his belt

Abilities:

Weapon Master: Masons long time battle experience has made him proficient with nearly any weapon imaginable and not only that but his environment is a weapon to him, chairs a loose board or anything else within arms reach.

Dead Eye: He lost his left eye during a battle when he served a northern army when he returned from the battle victorious the magi enchanted his damaged eye they repaired its function but not its appearance, in addition they granted it something extra as a reward, his eye can see magical energies invisible to the naked eye. If someone is capable of some kind of magic Mason will see it radiate off them.

Name: Kaizu and Avis Grace
Age: Both are 18
BIO: Kaizu and Avis are brothers, twins infact. They grew up rather closely, though there was an obvious difference between the pair. Their parents noticed how Avis seemed to be the darker of the two, while Kaizu is the light. Their parents didn't change the way that they brought up their boys though, thinking that the personality of their darker twin would lighten up with the influence of his brother.
That didn't seem to happen though, Avis's mood could only grow darker as the years passed by. The only thing that stopped him running off into the darkness was the love for his brother. He could never walk out on him, he was unsure if Kaizu would be able to handle life alone without him. Kaizu was, and still is, Avis's light.

His loyalty to his brother was questioned as a dark elf ransacked their village on the way to another town. The darkness poured off this figure, and enticed Avis. He had followed the dark elf for a while, his brother in tow trying to get him to come to his senses. This ended with the twins being confronted by the dark elf, seemingly interested in their powers, though only Avis was willing to serve the darkness. Kaizu fought to protect his brother from the darkness, but he was not yet strong enough to fight the darkness, and the seed of darkness was sown in both twins' hearts.

Avis was this elf's servant within moments of the darkness hitting his soul, while Kaizu fought to get rid of it.
Kaizu was left heartbroken, his twin having abandoned him to fight for the darkness. He knew there was light in Avis somewhere, and so he now is in the process of tracking down his brother and bring him back onto the right path. Though the dark seed still remains in Kaizu's heart, the boy fights this during his journey.

Avis became the dark elf's personal servant – his favourite. Just because Zeke was able to overcome the bond of twins, he favoured him. Avis didn't really understand, especially considering he wasn't the strongest on the dark side, but took his treatment well, always trying his best for his lord. The guilt of leaving his brother does sometimes stand in his way, though he tries not make this too obvious to Zeke.
Appearance:

Kaizu is on the left, and Avis is on the right. Avis stands at 5ft6, and his brother is only one inch shorter.
Kaizu is found usually wearing a black sleeveless shirt with high collar, with black loose trousers that are tucked into heavy duty black boots. He has a belt around his waist that hold two battle daggers, his only weapons.
Avis is also found in dark clothing, though he usually has an open neck black shirt, the buttons undone down to the middle of his chest, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His black trousers are tucked into his boots too, much like his brother. He though, has a single strap over his back, in which a single short sword sits, waiting for battle.
Ability's: The brothers have a different power each.
Avis has a natural connection to the electricity in the air, able to control whatever electricity he can get hold of – whether it is from the electrical impulses in the body, or the lightening in a storm. His control over this is still not perfect though, and needs a lot more discipline in this area.
Kaizu's power is that over water, able to control the movement of the water molecules in the air around him.

Anyway once tasteslikemurder and Sin Sin update their bios i will create the RP topic and set the stage.

Name: Amouthea Lithuwind
Age: 16
BIO: She is a Arcanist Student whom is able to weld both Frost and Fire; but being that the two are a tricky combination she has quite a hard time controlling them both. Sometimes they come off more powerful then she would like, and sometimes not powerful enough. Since her abilities are tricky she as decided that even though it may disappoint her parents she has taken a more diplomatic approach to her studies.

She hails from the north, but has traveled to the middle kingdom to broaden her study in linguistics. Most of her fellow mages tease her for not being interested in what she likes to call "Fire Power" and tell her she needs to get her head out of the clouds and focus more one her Magical studies then her Intellectual Studies.

In her free time she is often found with her nose in a book of heroic deeds, and romance. She is still truly a teenager at heart but she is also wise and well spoken. Sometimes her judgments may be based more on emotion then logic.

Appearance:
Ability's: Is able to control both fire and ice through additive magic. But she fears her ability to control them and rarely uses them. She avoids taking classes in magical arts and focus's more one history and diplomatics.

(crap just reread and realized there was already a fire user. Let me know if you want me to change her magic I will be more then happy too. Figured you may be ok with it since she does not use it much. Just let me know my feelings will not be hurt.)

Name: Ruprik

Age: 30-50 yrs old. He looks worn and worked

BIO: Ruprik comes from the South. When he was 18 he escaped from prison where he had been accused of stealing a magic cloak,(the same one he owns now),and has been on the run and doing what he calls "odd jobs" He is underhanded, selfish and an excellent thief. He was raised on the streets of one of the South's busier cities. He has killed 3 men and 1 woman but does not like killing. He has wandered to the center of the continent hoping to find some permanent status in the community. He doesn't make friends fast.

Appearance: He is about 5' 10 although he has the ability to look much shorter. He wears nondescript, dark clothes that blend in with a city scape better than a small village. His brown hair is long and lanky and he wears it tied back. He has no facial hair but can grow a beard in a day or two if needed. He wears many bags and 5 daggers in a bandilero across his chest. He has many more secreted on his body and a short sword on his side.His cloak has many secret pockets and is able to change color to blend in with his surroundings. It is the only magic he owns. His accent is thick and cockny when he wants it to be.

Ability's: He has the ability to blend with his surroundings, disguise himself and change his appearance enough to not be noticed. He can pick locks reasonably well and can be very silent when needed.

Okay I just found the IC for this and now the OOC. I was wondering if there was a place still lefft for one more player. I was thinking of useing and Elder Celestial char of mine if that is fine. And I was also wondering if accepted that she may have the right to help heal and the ability to fight with blades.

Well the RP will never technically be closed, i just have to put a limit on how many to start so it does not get to hectic.

naga is a half human half snake creature, they are snakes, some of them lives alone for all their life time, while some lives as a colony, in the sea, or in swamps, but one thing is definite, there is always water surrounding their homes, whether it's like, a feet high or 3-4 feet high in water levels, or way past the height of their homes, it's essential to their survival.
