Why bother?
the cancer takes ahold the wolf is in the fold
our destiny's been sold we did just what we're told

I am happy to see the counter perspectives being laid out here. I think that an all powerful being would want us to question the inner workings of what we believe as debates such as these force an individual to affirm what he or she actually has faith or belief in. The wonderful and complex instrument that is our brain would not be given to us otherwise. I personally find nothing wrong with exchanging these ideas to strengthen both the intellect and in my case, spirituality. Ive never been one to express anger or hatred on another for subscribing to a different world view than myself, however I do believe that all worldviews are not equal.

One cannot express ideas of a universal world peace until they understand unless there is a transcendent view on things, everything about right and wrong, good and bad, favorable and unfavorable is just opinion. I can see many similarities within religions today, however I see many large differences that would make them not coincide. In fact, many today believe that all the major religions today are superficially different and fundamentally the same. More so that they all to some degree preach not to hurt one another and promote the same kind of order. From my studies, I have concluded the opposite; that the major religions are fundamentally different and superficially the same. It is more likely that all of the world's religions are false than for all of them to be one as they fundamentally contradict one another.

I am taking this next statement from a philosophical point of view and not a scientific one. In the west, we often separate one's spiritual affirmations apart from reality. With this logic, someone would be following their faith mainly as a hobby and not because it had anything to do with reality. In this case, it would be futile to even believe their is a spiritual absolute. When there is no spiritual absolute of any kind, you will end up arguing about nothing more than feeling and opinion. When feelings and opinions rule the day, the hand of the majority will rule the day. It is purely human nature, and when man has nothing to rise above himself, watch out. In my humble opinion, this is why all of this matters.

Thank you for hearing me out again.

You've won my heart.
Hah.
Really though...I'm going to rate your post...tomorrow, since that's my 14 day register mark.
You're a spectacular being capable of clear, coherent thought. I love it. And possibly you.
