You all should Try Anberlin. I know they are "Christian Emo" or whatever. That part there seems like BS. To me anyways ^_^. All in all they are a really good band.

For instance Try this one on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkEeHWpMWdM <----- Day Late Friend

And if you like Slower, yet rockish feel songs, then try 12 Stones "World So Cold" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaxXgQcMk8E (Not the official vid)

And to top it all off hit these guys up called Rehab http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-_Cstkk ... PL&index=1 (Fair warning. It is Vulgar and unedited, yet funny)

So far my favorite bands of all time are (in no particular order):

**All That Remains**
Chiron: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCkG0jUxdYg
These guys are my all time favorite band right now. Their guitar, vocals and drums pretty much sell it for me.

God Forbid
The same as the above, though the only thing that really sets them apart is God Forbid has far better lyrics than All That Remains, I mean, All The Remains has great lyrics, but you can only sit and listen to how a girl screwed Phil LaBonte over for so long.

Megadeth
They're on this list because Dave Mustaine was the reason for me to pick up a guitar and learn to play it. So I will always be indebted to this band.

Soilwork
Lyrics are awful, but their singer and their music is great

And I'm sure there's more, I just can't think about them.

Hm this went on for a while huh? I got into music a lot a couple months ago and I think I have broadened my band-loving horizon. Many of you have super great music tastes in relation to me. If you're looking for something a little mellow but still super amazing try Spencer Bell/The Stevedores. That man was an artistic genius. Also, Tin Tin Can: they're just fantastic and neat. Myspace them all and for Spencer, click the link in my signature ... yo. :)

Cannibal Corpse (Brutal Metal) is awesome...if content being a bit questionable.

Them aside, I also have been getting into/already loved Disturbed, Testament, Megadeth, Dethklok, Lamb of God, Flyleaf, The Black Dahlia Murder, SpellBlast, DevilDriver, Evile, Underoath, and pretty much every other Metal band out there.

In Punk and Rock, I like the Ramones, UFO, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Spinal Tap, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many others whose names I can't remember.

Some samples if you want...(of the ones you probably dont know)

SpellBlast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCiyb2xvAh8

The Black Dahlia Murder: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWjg-_7xtpo

UFO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mp9SYNNeAmo

One I didn't mention, Scar Symmetry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JdD2p-RPv0

Another I didn't mention, Beyond East: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qze7FoWDoFA

Actually, a Cannibal Corpse Song... (very gruesome, but work safe...unlike some of their other stuff...): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNhN6lT-y5U

I really like Shadows Fall.
They are the first metal band I've heard that are actually trying to prove something and don't write every song about the same thing.
They are also influenced by many types of music, not just metal, so that really captivated me.
They spread lots of messages about politics and anti-war and also things like how the music can't be stopped. They also have the traditional hate message in some metal, but not a lot.
I thinks it's also funny that they have a song about people who trash other people on the web.
I'm also really starting to like Kings Of Leon.
If I start an alternative music side project (putting a metal band together right now) they will definately be my main influence.
