(Sorry this has taken so long guys...I have had a massive issue with accessing both my account and Roleplaygateway.com - just got back so hoping this is all still good.)
Ok great - Now we have your protagonists. Now make Antagonists.
Now remember this whenever you make a character. No matter what there is no 'set-in-stone' good or evil. Even the good guy may be evil in some peoples views when he performs certain actions. Because he killed an animal in self defense then used it as food, will an animals rights activist still see your character as good? No. Good and Evil is not as forward as our world would have you believe. Never under any circumstances refer to your characters as "The good guy and the bad guy"...It will never work.
Your antagonist is the character set against your protagonist. He is going to do everything in his power to stop the protagonist, and vice versa - Your protagonists main goal should be to stop the Antagonist.
I would also like to create a short detail of what your soon-to-be story will be about. Yes thats right! You're going to be writing a story based on these 2 characters, and I will be the guide to your book. Now mind you this will not be some R.A Salvatore or Terry Goodkind novel, no no, but you will have a large grasp on the world of Fantasy Fiction and how to Roleplay it to the fullest.
Now I don't want anyone getting scared so please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or if you just need some simple help. I will do all I can to assist you.
Here are a few tips to go by when creating a story plot and characters:
1. Your Protagonist must NOT be the best at what he is to become. If he is to become some master swordsman to defeat the antagonist in battle, he must LEARN to become a swordsman. Remember - Growth is a large portion of a characters life - We must develop in order to succeed. It is what gamers and readers enjoy together - The fact that this soul started as a nobody and now is a 'hero'.
2. Make you're character apart of yourself - Always ask yourself 'Why would he do this, what would he do to solve this?' By doing so you are making the character feel alive, and that in itself makes a good character in both role play and stories.
3. Always remember the rules! Whatever rules are set in the role play or the story - FOLLOW THEM! I can not stress this enough. NEVER SWAY FROM THE RULES! If your character does not have magic and he is stuck in a situation don't just make him all of a sudden unleash this hidden talent and create some magic to spur himself out of trouble and far away from it...believe me it makes for a very boring character.
4. You are no where near immortal...Never will be and never have been - remember that and you will do fine. Your character can die.
Remember any questions, ask me. I will be teaching the lessons as I go and I am very sorry for this taking so damn long to get underway...I was looking forward to this

But We are back on track now.
