I wanted to see the amount of interest there is in a zoids rp on this site...

I have a system set up in my mind including a strict monetary system, zoid upgrades, weapon upgrades, missions, teams, competitions, etc.

Unlike most rps where you would get to choose who you are and how you start off, everyone will be given a random zoid dictated by ME/other mods.

I am looking for literate rpers; none of this "i shoot him with my gun." posts... im also not asking for a 2 paragraph post when it's one's turn to attack...

This rp will require moderation by me or another mod during competitions to referee but missions and PvP battles will be determined by the players. In which case, the players will need to have good judgement on who would win or not/ laying down their pride and lose once in a while.

This rp will be a little more complex and strict than other more freeform rps; weight/speed/upgrades/types/environment will all be determining factors during competitions or battles

Description:The Zaber Fang was originally one of the most popular Zoids in the empire - built like a cat for good speed and manueverability, well armored, decent weaponry, the Zaber can go into any battle situations and use its ferocity and manueverability to take out its opponents. Common assumption is that the Zaber Fang is designed for long range combat, as all of it's following upgrades followed along this design. However, one who gets into a close range battle with a Zaber Fang will be thoroughly surprised at the zoid's incredible strength, ferocity, and effectiveness in these situations. These three reasons are why I'm going to have to say "no" to this. There is far too much emphasis on hard numbers and calculation which will only bog down the ability of the players to resolve even the most basic combat situations. Trust me, I know this from trying to run a Pokemon battle in much the same way, using the formula the video games use to determine damage. I'm also not a fan of you telling me what Zoid I get. Just let people pick their own, barring truly absurd specimens like Berserk Fury, and you should be okay.

Generally, the more combat bookkeeping that takes place "under the hood," the more likely it is that your RP will take off. Better luck next time!
