It is the year 2012, when President Obama declared world peace in 2010, all weapons production stopped. Millions of people celebrated and burned their weapons. The only weapons that remained in production were those of biological and nuclear interest, but they were very lowly funded, and only ran to be sure to keep the uncompliant nations in line. Two years after that, in a rotting missle base in the great plains a computer which had formerly been used to run Timewave Zero program and was not properly formatted shorted out due to the former predictions. The computer halted the operations to balance the system and the missle exploded. A huge cloud of biological and Nuclear waste filled the air. The material was mostly decomposed, so poison from radiation did not kill many people instantly. It was a state of emergency, but since the debauchery was going on new year's day, no one noticed on the civilian side. The president was interupted during a speech afterwards in New York, and when he called other countries of similar interests, they also reported explosions. That night, everyone rested, and the people from the shores of Lake Michigan to the Shores on the West coast were affected, and from Canada to Mexico. The next day, the people woke up in a frenzy, with burned flesh and malformed bodies. They were in a frenzy. Soon they lost all forms of human reason and thought, thus becoming zombies. The sun burned their tender muscle and they took to underground in the daylight. Only those who were in maximum secuity prisons, school buildings, or underground that night survived. East coast cities tried desperately to maintain order, but it was futile, the infected people made their way there first, and the infected who were still sane made their way inside, only to be thrown into insanity and begin killing. This new disease, as some called it, was not spread by water or air, but only by direct fluidic contact, much like AIDS. The world has collapsed, only small groups of people survive in small towns and cities. Renegades wander in between these place looting. You are a survivor, whatever you want to be you are, but only within reason. Good Luck.

History: Ammie lived a pretty normal life. Her parents were middle class citizens of the US. She was able to survive the 'virus', however her family and friends were not as lucky. She now resides by herself, fighting to survive.
Abilities: Hand to hand combat

Name: Kurdt
Origin: americano, male.
Appearance: Built, some loose fitting jeans, a black wifebeater, worn steel toed boots, and a pretty beat up trenchcoat. about 6'2", and 195 pounds, pretty muscular.
Inventory: 9 inch blade. and cmon gus, can't I have Kurdt's signature family desert eagle? ):
History: Used to be a DEA agent, but kinda got curious with the evidence. He tried some of the marijuana out, and got addicted. His employer found out and fired him, and he's lived life only what he has left, and has sunk into his own little isolated world, giving him a bit of an attitude.
Abilities: besides having a typically accurate aim, he's very agile in close combat, 'specially with his cute little knife. he was top of his type in the DEA after all.

Name: Nikolaus Perala (Niko)
Origin: Finlander Male
Appearance: 5'10 160 lbs Muscular build, but does not work out. Wears faded and worn designer jeans, black steel toed Dr. Martens, a worn out white "Black Flag" T-Shirt, and an old military jacket.
Inventory: 8 Inch Iisakki knife from the old country with wood handle strapped to leg, Fishing line and hooks stuck into some cork, a handkerchief, a skateboard, and a wrap of small thin wires.
History: Nikolaus is a Finlander that moved to America for a better life. He worked hard and saw many others around him slack off and yet they all had the same. So he worked on a shipping boat for 11 months and when he got close enough to see the border of America, he jumped ship and swam there. He was in the Finnish Defense Force, so he has a bit of training in weapons. He carries around the knife his mother gave him, she died in what everyone thinks is a housefire. He lives in the poor district of NYC and does odd jobs (mostly criminal) for extra pocket change, at the time of chaos, he took to the sewers and escaped.
Abilities: Can use weapons effectively, especially guns. Doesn't care for human life, can kill without remorse. Can hunt, fish and clean animals, although in the city that is no longer needed.

I'm assuming were all in the same general area for convenience reasons.

Appearance: Blue jeans and a leather jacket. 5’11 210lbs

Inventory: Lighter, Swiss army knife, cell phone, Stride Gum.

History: Formerly a pilot, and hunts with a shotgun. I kept this relatively empty on purpose, talk to him if you want to know more.

Abilities: Member of the Air Force before world peace and knows how to use/take care of a gun and keep a level head when things get bad.

Origin: Irish,male
Appearance: wears a black hoodie and jeans 6'2 215 lbs
Inventory: switch blade,lighter,back pack,spray paint.
History: John is a 17 year old orphan who lives on the streets since his parents died years ago. Once was in an orphanage but ran away then grew up in gang life and learned to use a switch blade. Moved to USA at 12.
Abilities: street smarts, surviavalism, knife skill.

John woke up and from his nightmare sweating and cold so he got up and put on his hoodie. He then walked over to the sink of this two story building and washed his face in some cold water he listened and head no moaning so he was safe for now he checked his watch (forgot to put it down above) it said 3:45. "Almost day" John said as he went back to sleep.

"Hey man, you having a hard time sleeping?" asked Niko from his cot. "If you want, I could give you a Valium, or just a cigarette if you prefer." Niko grabbed the knife on his leg to check and make sure it remained. The group had just come together, it was only the second night the crisis had been going on, so Niko did not trust the Thug American Youth. "In the morning we will go find guns in the nearest town, but until then get some sleep"

"Huh oh yhea I'll take a Valium." John said to Niko " hey thanks man by the way what's your name?" then sat up to talk for a bit.

"Nikolaus Perala, and yourself?" Niko asked politely. He lit up a cigarette and took out his knife, throwing it straight up and catching it. He looked around at the other sleeping survivors, they didn't stir, he was afraid to sleep around them, as they were too calm.

Kurdt's right, hazel eye shot open in an instant. He cracked his left eye open to scan the area. Pitch black. It was, he was guessing, around 3 am, and the subway never was that packed that late. He groaned as he leaned forward some, the newspaper which he used as a blanket while he slept slowly slid down his chest with a rustle.

He scooted back after leaning forward, his back now propped up against the wall, sitting in an upright position at this point. He mumbled something inaudible, talking to himself it seemed, as he reached within his trenchcoat, fumbling around for something. Moments later after his hand vanished within the coat, it reappeared, a rusty, worn zippo gripped in his grimey fingers.

He played with it for a second, before reaching inside his coat of goodies once more, this time pulling out what looked to be a cigarette, but he knew it wasn't any of that dumb little tobacco crap. It was a self rolled, good smelling joint. He ran it under his nose, taking in the aroma of the illegal substance within the paper. "Better than coffee.." He grunted, clearing his throat as there was a buildup as he slept.

He placed one end of the doobie between his dry lips, taking a clean breath, before placing the zippo in front of the filled paper. He smirked slightly as he opened the zippo and lit the joint. He made sure the thing was lit completely, before taking a long, deep drag off of it, like a complete champ. He placed the zippo back into his pocket after inspecting it, thinking to himself that it's going to need a refill soon.

After replacing the zippo, he pulled the joint from his lips, exhaling slowly as the deep smoke slipped from his lips. "That's the stuff.." He mumbled once more, while beginning to cough.

"I'm John" john said replying. "hey I'm goin back to sleep now thanks again see you in the morning Niko." John said as he started to lie back down on his cot.

Niko woke up to the sound of an alarm clock at 7 AM. He had ear buds in so that no one else could hear him wake up. He shook the others quietly and rubbed his eyes. He was using his coat as a blanket, and he picked it up and put it on pulling it down from the two sides as to adjust it. He pulled a cigarette out of his right front pocket and lit it, smoke rose up to the ceiling and dissapated. "Wake up John" he whispered to his new business associate while shaking him, "It's time to go now". He took a long drag and blew out. The others were still sleeping it seemed, he wouldn't bother to wake them.

"Huh John said tiredly as he rubbed his eyes "Whats up Niko where we goin." John got his stuff together and ate an energy bar for breakfast "Want one he?" asked Nico quietly as they walked down the stairs to the abandon parking lot out front.

Name: Nienna
Origin: White female
Appearance: 5'5, 115 pounds, slender build. Long black hair, piercing green eyes


Inventory: Combat Knife

History: Nienna's parents were high ranking military personal whom taught her well, which account for most of her skills, such as her ability to wield almost any gun. When the virus began spreading her parents quickly caught it, and as they were part of the government, they had already seen what it could do. Refusing to acknowledge her parents warnings to leave, they attacked her the same night. She personally had to kill them to save herself.
Abilites: Acrobatic abilitys, as well as black belt in karate. Prefers to fight with a gun.

"Alright, man we are going to check out this area, bring some stuff back the apartment. We will let the other three sleep in," Niko said. "Try not to let them see you, New York is a populated place believe it or not." They hit the stairs of Gun Hill Rd. station and made their way down. No zeds there, as the swarm was most likely in a "living" area. The descended until they came to a platform. It was empty, they planned on walking along the tracks to Eastchester. Niko scanned the area and saw a motionless body on a bench nearby, covered in newspaper. Niko held his hand up to make John stay quiet. He hovered over the sleeping man, he smelled of alcohol and pot smoke. "Wake up" Niko said aloud, making an echo down the tunnel "We are going to safety", he could tell the man was not homeless, but rather stranded. Niko kicked the bench hard and made it fall over, it was not sturdy. A zippo fell out of the stranger's hand. Niko took his knife out and prepared for an unfriendly encounter. "Sorry about that man, under a lot of pressure, you know?" he said to the body, breathing, but not moving.

John was searching the area arround Niko and the other guy when he started to hear moaning he instantly ran back to Nikop "hey Niko I heard some moaning over there." He whispered trying to be quiet so nothing heard him.

"Sixteen" said Niko, indicating he understood. He ran toward the man still on the ground coughing. "Hey man, go up and find this house" he said, handing him a piece of paper he quickly scrawled the address on. He dropped it on the man and signaled to John, "let's go, we have a long way to walk". He listened for an oncoming train and then dropped onto the tracks. "Let's go, better get that knife out comrade", he walked north toward Baychester station, going deeper into the hood.

Nienna continued to run. Sweat dripped down her forehead, but she kept on sprinting. She had gotten caught in the subway scavenging for items, and was trapped now. She was leading a group of the disturbing things and the faster she seemed to run the more they wanted to kill her. Ahead of her she saw two figures...no three. One was on the ground. They might be more of them...but my chances are best going this way, and I can kill them need be. She continued towards the two standing figures, quickly drawing her combat knife.
