Who here agrees with the very plausible idea of 300 bad-ass spartans taking on a thousand guys? Im sorry 1 million heavily armored guys

Firstly! 300 the movie was based upon a comic book, in which many historical things were skewed to begin with.

It really did happen, but not in the numbers presented. I'm not a near-Doctorate in History, so I don't have much ground to speak upon.

Either way, no spoilers please. A lot of us haven't seen it yet.

One bit of advice when watching this movie: Bring an extra pair of shorts.

Just for general information, the Spartans only really faced 300,000 Persians and, even then, it wasn't as if the full Persian force showed up at their door step.

Along wih that, at that point in time, the Spartan Phalanx was one of the most superior combat formations. They were the only race who was nearly completely combat orientated.

Regardless of what anyone says about the historical inaccuracy of the movie, the modernized dialogue, or whatever other silly problems they have, this motion is seconded.

An extra pair- at least.
