Aero's Sad and Love Poetry

A Veiled World

Weary droplets from mournful skies,
Being is lost in time’s shadow.
A darker truth is given rise,
It grows song to a shameful meadow.
With pain so easy and smile so faint,
What be there left to touch and see?
Hands of scars and blood it taint,
Nails grown sharp in cornered fear.
A tear of salt shall burn the home,
A lustfull tongue consume the warmth.
A heart of innocence forever roam,
A veiled world shall live on.

Before the Sun

Arisen and fallen doth the sun acquire,
Its unwelcoming light numbers the moons to come.
Men pray for strength, will, and a fire,
Though it only bestows the blessed gift to some.
Unfortunate clouds rally over my memory,
Bringing a mist to my eyes though rain may not fall.
The fiends corner my heartbeat and it's dark history,
Again the blood flows to its call.

Oh how I have sought the end to this madness,
The end that nary may be too forgone.
The horizon shall not quench my thirst or take my sadness,
Nor shall it bring light to this simplistic pawn.
Alas there is the light for me yet,
That one protruding ray of hope.
Its face is that of my kin and allies I have met,
I grasp tight as they pull on that rope.

Across the sky dost the chariot return to its sleep,
We who reek with pain and disorient follow suite.
Our work is finished and we look to dreams that we pray to reap,
But I simply request serenity that is soothing as the lute.
No time, no deed, no smile to find,
The horse rider will cross the heavens without cease.
Perhaps the morrow will choose to be kind,
And at last may the sun bring me peace.

The Sun Rolling Over the Hills

Rise and fall with the sun rolling over the hills,
My unfailing love for you holds fast.
Songs greater than the mighty roaring Gaels,
Aspiring adventure in your grasp is cast.
Trials unending through smiting storm and shadows,
My fight shall continue till the very last.

Once I thought the sun to never bring me peace,
The crimson flowed blindly to its call.
I ventured far south, west and to the east in search,
Endless seasons met my every fall.
What past chases to fight and world pulling strong,
My pillar of promise anchors proudly tall.

Written like the stories of old in rhythmic time,
Sweet is your voice of that heralding hum.
Heart lacking defeat and breathe of rushing waters,
A fire beating as would the fiercest drum.
To you my freedom bids me give chase,
My northern star is you to which I come.

The horizon carefully drawn in perfect permanence ,
To it, hastily my heart and being run.
Rays of warmth comforting that invincible moment.
At last, my dreams nearly yet won.
I see it, gleaming golden above those emerald hills,
Your love, forever, my new rising sun.
"You are not what you were born, but what you have within yourself to be."
