Hello Thi,

Good to have you with us. I see you have already found the Role Play Academy, the tutors there will be able to help you top up your skills. Other than that have a look in the Writing forum there are a good few poets in there already. We hope to have separate sub-fora er sub-forums for poetry and prose before long. Other than that if you have other questions myself or any of the other staff members will happily help.

With your experience in GaiaOnline you should be up and playing very soon. So have fun and contribute where ever you can.

Aww. Well, as a college student there isn't much time to think because of all the work that piles up and meeting deadlines..and still trying to find time for hobbies..so its nuts! I was kinda hoping I can eat/drink something so that I can be more energized in anything I do.

^Lol as a 9th grade student my only thing to worry is if i have money to pay the bullies! My life is kinda calm and slow, correction, is too calm and very slow, i kinda love the peace but , its so boring XP, i try to do something exciting, like radical sports or any kind of things like that to unbore me... But i get amused when im close to friends, even being a few Lol

That's ok. When you go to college your only friends are your classmates, because of all the work that needs to be done. So appreciate your youth! Do your best! FORGET THE REST! Unless of course, they're helping you do your best. :D

And, please take care of your health, even with lots of work for you to do, you need to focus that your body necessities are more important than the works and exercises ^^... I know that i know too little about you to deserve to give any advice .. But oh well .... XP

Not to bash on Gaianinites (made the term, spread it, I'm bringing it back), but roleplaying on GAIA has a few things wrong with it. I mean, GAIA is a nice place but I wouldn't rely on more than 1/15 of the GAIA population to teach me how to roleplay, or help me with it. Most of the time they write too much, or too little. They pull a Mary Sue (is that what it's called?), they will take a paragraph describing something that could otherwise be described in a sentence.

"At this point, the man's eyes were very beautiful. His eyes shone the way the sun would when rising over the edge of the Earth; the mountains brought a shine into his eyes, which made his darkened eyes brighten while the golden rays struck his body. The eyes he had now were much more kind than before, and it shows all of the emotion he would have otherwise not had, had it not been for meeting that woman. They were blue with the sweetened hue from the sunrise which made them look like the bloody stains he had seen before, dark and magnificent." Okay, I love descriptions, and adjectives as much as the next person (I made up that paragraph), but you could also describe it like this:

"The hue radiating onto the male's eyes from the sun rising over the mountains made his eyes look much more magnificent and dark compared to the original colour. His blue eyes changed into a loving, emotion-bursting blood-stained colour." Just on the spot, of course. And their fighting is often way off. I can't stand a bunch of the fighters there.

"Naruto runs and hits Sasuke!"
"Sasuke dodges and then throws a shuriken hitting Naruto in the foot."
"Naruto dodges that and then flies and kicks Sasuke in the head."
"Sasuke..." yeah, I'm sure you know how that's going. Maybe in the past few months they have changed, but it is better to get your experience from a community which is smaller, and less diverse, in this case. I started roleplaying in chats, I did the typical god modding. Then it became more serious as to where my roleplaying was an art form not to be tampered with.

Many people here, including myself, roleplay well. And the best way I could describe it to you is, it is like a dance. One person doesn't change their dancing all of the time. You pick a leader. And the follower has to adapt to how the leader dances. The leader, in this case, is the Thread Starter--unless they generate the "main character" position to another character who is not theirs (it has happened before). And then it becomes a dance, tangling with the unseen tribulations and troubles brought on from another incoming character, or even from the thread starter. With that, welcome. I have had over ten years of experience in roleplaying. So, I hope you learn a lot from us.
