If you find yourself asking that question upon seeing this thread, you are likely in the correct state of mind as I have been astoundingly busy with all manner of school and life and other things that have mostly kept me away from Gateway for some months now. But, more or less, the intention of this topic is to announce my part-time return to the forums and the community on a semi-regular basis (Figure that one out!). I cannot stay away from my people for this long, so it was bound to happen eventually that I would resolve to try and balance all this other mess with time about here.

For those of you I have not yet met or spoken to, I would most certainly love to meet you and look forward to doing so in the near future. ^^ I tend to put something of a strange level of emphasis on getting to know the entire community here, meaning every last one of you thousands out there, because I'd like you all to feel comfortable in being able to approach me about any issues or problems you might be having with the site or on the site or with your roleplays or really anything at all.

I also have a tendency to bake cookies for users that are especially awesome. Limited to cookies without peanuts, though, but awesome nonetheless, yes?

But anyways, it feels good to be back. Looking forward to see where Gateway has gone and where it is going since my break began.

I'd like to welcome you back Kou, though we've never actually spoken (I'm a relatively new member).

I have however seen much of your work and just _love_ what you did with Ghalerion. A masterpiece of creativity. Hopefully you'll be around for another of my collaborative projects as you'd be a great addition.

Thanks for the welcomes back thus far, everybody. I will surely be doing all I can to right any wrongs that my absence might've brought upon the people. Including deficiencies in Sexar fanclub members and cookies.

Ghalerion is most certainly what I'd like to believe is my chef-d'oeuvre. ^^ However since it finally came to a close following a failed revival attempt (Which I blame school for. Rawr.), I've seemed to fall into something of an inescapable ennui in regards to roleplaying. But I'm most certainly still open to finding a story which can free me from that!

Well I'm actually more a writer than a roleplayer I came here to play around with some collaborative writing. A forum such as this seemed the best place to find people willing to work alongside another. Check out these threads to see what I have in mind when I say collaborative.

That is extremely interesting, particularly because for some time I was notorious for saying that I am not here to play pretend as a character, but to assist my peers in co-writing an entertaining and memorable piece of literature we can each feel a sense of ownership over. =) I'll definitely look into those prospects and see if I can't work out enough time to get involved.

Also, Rigel, the staff has traditionally been rather infamous for also being an all-star lineup of killer roleplayers that don't roleplay enough. XD It seems like this current incarnation of staff keeps up that tradition rather well, too, although they appear to roleplay just a bit more. >_>

Fantastic, Kou. At the moment I've reached my desired quota for that project. If it works out or a few more people express interest (a couple have said they'd have liked to join if they knew sooner) I will start another one. I'll be sure to keep you posted, definitely glad you're interested.

Do you mean your return will be epic, or your attempt is epic? As each would imply something entirely different.
