Are You a Crime Addict?

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby mombie on Tue Apr 13, 2021 5:20 pm

Are you a True Crime enthusiast? Have you watched literally every episode of Criminal Minds?

WELL, perhaps I have the roleplay just for you.

THE FACELESS is inspired by Criminal Minds and follows the criminal profilres and crime techs of the California Bureau of Investigations as they hunt down a serial killer that seems to be snatching people from the 101 Freeway and making a dumping ground of the sleepy, small American town of Ferndale.

Crime techs and profiles will hunt down clues, investigate, and more in this Thriller/Criminal-centric roleplay. It will be heavily player-driven with some direction from the GM. I have taken the Sheriff of Ferndale and the Forensic Pathologist role to help leave clues along the way. I will also (just like in Criminal Minds) provide brief details and accounts of narration from the Killer's perspective.

This is an adult themed roleplay, and it may include racial, sexual, and gender stereotyping to help present a profile of the serial killer (or killers). HOWEVER, let me say this very clearly, it does not mean that overtly racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. in-character or out of character things need to take place. Because everyone has a different trigger, and RPG is made up of so many different types of people, this type of profiling will not be used as an excuse to be nasty. We can always be low-key about these things happening in the Universe without over-describing to the point where it offends a player.

Due to some players having left RPG, this roleplay has never taken off. I don't ask for much except for one post every two weeks, as I do have other roleplay investments (to include here and on SWTOR-RPG). My expectations are basic literacy (though I am the last person that can be a grammar nazi because I have typos in 100% of my posts), players with some motivation to help drive the story without too much hand-holding, and the basic decency to let me know if the story is no longer interesting or you don't intend to keep moving forward for whatever reason.

Other than that, I am looking forward to hosting a Thriller/Crime roleplay with you guys.
