Arendelle's Kingdoms

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Zodia195 on Wed Feb 07, 2018 12:51 am

In this forum, I will be posting information regarding all the Kingdoms of Arendelle. At the moment they are Principalities. All images used will be what the place looked like before Ivelda took over. She's also sealed off all the palaces in each kingdom since ancient magic actually protects them from destruction. Regardless, they have fell into disarray though.

Lostein is the area the Queen currently reigns and is home of Prince Parker. It is the central most kingdom in Arendelle. The castle (it's the image in the Intro page btw) is situated on an island in the middle of a lake and sometimes a mist settles in the palace looks like it's in the clouds. Nearby the palace is a wooded area that is rumored to be enchanted. Before the rulers fell, the area was known to be the most peaceful of the kingdoms due to how loving its rulers were and how strong their magic was. With the Kingdom of Walson as their strongest ally, it seemed no one could over take them. It was for this very reason that Ivelda target it first, for she believed that by taking control of that kingdom's magic she would have an easier time conquering the others. And that's exactly what happened.

However, Ivelda hasn't managed to gain all of the kingdom's magic for the rulers had a backup plan just in case. This magic is hidden deep in the Enchanted wood, protected by the Fae who have been hunted down, but have managed to seal themselves away. Only the princesses' pendents can unlock the area. Still the woods itself is a very dangerous place now.

Walson is the kingdom just south of Lostein. Made up of rolling hills and with a mountain chain to the south of it, this was the kingdom ruled by Princess Isabella's parents. Much like the former rulers of Lostein, the rulers here were very much loved and were very generous. The area was rich in livestock and the citizens here were great music lovers and were known for their bards who traveled all over with their stories and songs. All that changed after it fell to Ivelda. This former kingdom has had the most revolts again the current queen and their are rumors that a few rebels have taken up residents in the mountains where dwarfs use to populate. The Queen often sends her legions there to try to eliminate them. She also still makes sure though that the ranches are still working since they help supply food for her area and surrounding areas. While the Queen is evil through and through, she's not dumb either and knows not to let her 'people' go hungry. She has outlawed music, unless it sings her glory and is not rebellious in any nature.

The palace of this kingdom sits in a valley before the mountains and like the vast majority of the other palaces, is sealed away. The enchantment that surrounds it looks like a dense fog and those who have said to try to find it, never come back.

Duvine is the kingdom located east of Lostein. It shares a small part of the Enchanted Woods with it's neighbor, but much like Walson, most of it is planes. However, what sets it apart from that kingdom is it's dominated by vineyards. This area used to be ruled by Prince Louis's parents. The people here really loved the finer things in life and from the lower class to the high class they acted with dignity and pride. Unfortunately after the rulers were killed, this kingdom was quickly taken out since it was one of the neighbors. The vineyards were originally allowed to stay, but due to how hard the people here refused to bow to the new Queen's will, she set up about breaking them by destroying their vineyards. The land is a very poor place to live now and is one of the most affected areas. The only few vineyards are controlled by corrupted high class folk who support the Queen, mostly out of fear though.

The palace located here was pretty easy to reach, but thanks to the magic there, there was very little the Queen could do to it. She's set it fire multiple times, but the flames couldn't destroy it. In the end she gave up on it and allowed her own band of orc followers to inhabit it.

Vetriol is south of both Duvine and Walson, sharing the same mountain range as the later kingdom. In fact, half of this kingdom's area is this mountain range, while the rest is made up of valleys and plains with underground caverns. This is the kingom that Princess Ella's late parents ruled. The place was known for the gems and minerals that were found within the mountains so a good number of the population became craft makers of different types. Glass work also became prominent and the best examples of it were found in the royal palace, which was located in the mountain range. Because of it's location and the strong magics protecting it, Ivelda could never quite make it there due to the thin air quality. Instead, she made the area around it inhospitable so no one else could reach it. Ivelda has changed the country to suit her needs a bulk of her jewels come from this area and all of the minerals here are used for her army and navy's needs.

Flussoldorf, located west of Lostein and north of Walson. This kindgom has 2 rivers flowing through it, the smaller one travels from west to east into Lostein and connects with the lake that surrounds that palace. That river connects with the much larger one, which is the border between that kingdom and to the one west of it. This larger river also flows south into Walson. Most of the towns and even the palace are located along these 2 rivers. This is the kingdom that was ruled by Prince Phillip's parents. The rulers certainly fit the 'fairy tale image'. The king was a great diplomat and the queen was elegant and a supporter of music.

The charm this kingdom brought was quashed when Ivelda took over. Flussoldorf had a strong force of warriors and faught to the bitter end, but Ivelda's magic corrupted them by enchanting the water. In fact the whole river is enchanted so it affects all the kingdoms along it. However the effects of this magic have slowed down over time. Regardless, the towns that were along those rivers in Flussoldorf are now ghost towns and the kingdom itself doesn't have many people living in it and those that do are very poor.

Traumet's southern border shares it with three other kingdoms of Flussoldorf, Lostein, and Duvine. Half of it is made up of forests. It actually shares a large underground water system with Duvine. Princess Alysia's parents ruled this area. This area is well known for it's fairy population and the people are so in tuned with the magic of this area that it's not uncommon for magic users to originate from here. The rulers themselves were both magical too, especially the queen though who had the 2nd sight. She actually had nightmares leading up to the attack and took great pains to do what she could to protect their kingdom by contacting the fairy folk and they planned ahead.

So when Ivelda killed the rulers, word spread like wildfire to the fae folk of Traumet and in an extreme attempt to protect the kingdom, all the faeries in the kingdom put the whole kingdom into an enchanted sleep and sealed it off so that no one may enter except those who carry the royal blood. So really the only one who can access this kingdom is Alysia herself. For years though Ivelda has tried breaking the magic barrier down, but to this day the magic holds firm.
