Atlas NPC Thread

A thread for all the important NPC's that will be involved in the RP in various ways. Mainly, this is for the different Mentors/Older Supers, even some of the villains, and whoever else anyone feels like they'll make an appearance. I'll add all my personal NPCs here as needed, to help give more insight into the overall world. As for those joining, feel free to add any NPC's that you feel like they're important to your character, as well as the world, and so on. Can be friends, other supers within Aegis, and obviously the Mentor role that is connected to your Aegis character, assuming they have a connection of course. As not every playable character has to have a mentor.

Below is the coding you can use to list any NPC's you may wish to add! Just lemme know if you need any help, etc.

XAVIER HALE - THE PHANTOM


Sidekick: . Skaði (Mikey Santo)

Powers: . Enhanced Human Conditioning, Archery, and Athletics

Face claim: . Stephen Amell
Hero description: .The Phantom is one of Atlas's most notable presences in the past twenty years. No one really knows where he came from or when he arrived at Atlas. No one on record has ever truly seen him, hence his assigned Alias by the public. He comes and goes as he pleases, never sticking around after a job is done. Fleeing back into the shadows just as quickly as he came. In terms of personality, again, no one that has encountered him has anything to say, he's truly a phantom in the night. The only true reason why he is so beloved by the public, is due to the fact he just always seems to be around, watching for trouble. Otherwise, many would find his ever watching presence as something to be feared. But for those that do know him, know that The Phantom is a man of few words, assuming he finds you worthy to talk to, that is. He's a man of duty, and that's all that matters by the end of the day.

Secret Identity: . For those unaware of who The Phantom actually is under the mask and outside of the suit, one can look no further than Xavier Hale, a famed businessman of Atlas. Xavier is known around the general public as a charitable soul, but with a rough exterior. He's nowhere harsh by any means, but much like his Alias, he's a man of few words and very work orientated. He has spent more than half his life building his company, Hale Enterprises and it is ever growing each and every day. The corporation itself, is worth millions, and the main building stands within the exact center of the main square of Atlas. Everyone knows of Hale Enterprises for one reason or another, whether it's the man that runs it, or their over all reputation as a prosperous corporation. But there is one thing that even Xavier isn't aware of, that one of his very own interns and side-kick, Skaði is actually his biological daughter. Xavier does know he has a child out there somewhere, he just isn't aware of how close she actually is. Even with the jokes of the two being very similar in a lot of ways, he's entirely unaware of just how true those comments are.

ALEENA CLARKE


Occupation: . Aegis Scientist

Powers: . N/A

Face Claim: . Emily Bett Rickards
Description: . Aleena is one of the more notable members of Aegis, while she may be a humble mechanic and leader of the engineering district, her efforts go towards the Aegis team members and their weapons. She ensures that all of their supplies and mechanical ware is kept in pristine condition. She works within the North-Side lab at the Aegis Headquarters, and can usually be seen in her lab testing out some new tech-ware or toy as she likes to refer to her creations. Often letting those who enter into her lab to test out whatever sort of mechanical devise she created. Should be warned, not all of her creations are guaranteed to backfire. As far as anyone is concerned of this little scientist, is that other than her occasionally faulty creations, Aleena is entirely harmless. Often fumbling over her own words, or even her own two feet for that matter. Aleena is kind-hearted and soft-spoken in most regards, but does have a silver tongue for those deserving of it. When it does come to her interacting with the new Supers, she's incredibly kind and warm, as she does have a warm and soft spot for them. Aleena does have a genuine fondness for those who have gotten involved in Aegis plans and experimentations. Hell, half of her projects are in hops that one day the Supers can break away from Aegis and live a normal life, well, as normal as they can anyway.

Secret Identity: . Unaware to anyone within Atlas, including Aegis; Aleena is actually Mikey's birth mother, and former affair of Xavier Hale. Aleena is aware of who her child's father was, as well as the double life that he leads. But due to their varying life-styles and placements overall, she never made it known to Xavier who the child was. She alerted Xavier of him being a father, but the two had agreed they'd keep the child's identity away from his knowledge, for the child's safety. Aleena had put Mikey up for adoption, knowing that either of her parent's life-styles wasn't what the child needed. The only thing, if she knew what was going to happen to Mikey and that her own daughter would end up in Aegis' clutches regardless, she never would have made that choice twenty years ago.

Aleena and Mikey are familiar with the other, but only Aleena knows of their true relationship and bond. The two do share a lot in common, such as their love for mechanics and sciences. But it was in fact Aleena's choice to have Mikey's memories wiped, to keep Mikey safe all those years ago. Her own regret, was never coming clean to her daughter. And now with the current circumstances, and recent death of Jet-Stream, Aleena has continued to keep the truth to herself. She loves her daughter in more ways than anyone else could, hence all the secrecy and lying. She does know one day all of the truths and lies will come to light, but Aleena just hopes she can fix everything before that day comes to pass...

THOMAS DEWMONT

Face Claim: . Ben Lewis
Description: . Ben is a humble college student at the University of Atlas, studying Bio-engineering, and Bio-Chemistry. He's within his final year of University and plans of attempting to intern at Hale Enterprises upon graduation. For those who know Thomas, know that is he is a genuinely kind and caring person, who just wants to help better the world, starting with Lower-City Atlas. He personally despises the way that the vast majority of people are treated, and hopes to one day be able to get justice for all of those who have been done wrong by the Justice system. Hence his interest in news and interviewing public figures whenever he can.

Outside of his University studies, Thomas can usually be seen hanging around the local bars and hang-out spots around Upper-City Atlas. Hard at work comprising his resume and work projects he wishes to bring forth to Hale Enterprises once he gets his intern position within the company. He's an avid supporter for the Supers, and despises the discrimination and blatant hate the vast majority of them receive by the public. He is also a notorious fan of The Phantom

Secret Identity: . Unknown to Thomas, he is twin brother of Mikey Santo, and biological son of Xavier Hale and Aleena Clarke. He was led to believe his parents had been killed in an unfortunate accident when he was a kid, and had been orphaned as a result. Thomas is entirely unaware that one of his greatest admirations and potential future boss is his father, nor that his intern and sidekick, Skaði, is his sister. Speaking of Mikey, her and Thomas are actually rather good friends, oddly enough. They managed to cross paths one night while out on the town. Both were hanging out at the local gay-bar, Envy, and had struck up a conversation. Mainly due to the fact that Thomas had accidentally spilled Mikey's drink, and his own all over Mikey.

And after a rather awkward and frosty altercation, and him managing to clear the air that it was an accident; he offered her a refund on a drink. And since then the two have oddly started hanging out after that fateful night. But preferably without alcohol getting in the middle of things again. Thomas had even gotten the bravery to ask Mikey to put in a good word for him at Hale Enterprises, as he knew she was also an intern for Xavier himself. His hopes for her following on her word is low, but the chances are there. He does genuinely value their friendship, and Thomas is there for Mikey whenever she may need him, even though he knows she's plenty capable of taking care of herself. She did punch a guy in the nose at one of the bars, and put him onto his back and out into the street. Which, just so happens to be one of Thomas' favorite stories to retell whenever he gets the chance.

PAGE MONTSON - JET-STREAM

Face Claim: . Kiera Knightly
Hero Description: . Jet-Stream was one of the most beloved and known Super Heroes that was known around Atlas. Unlike most, she was one for the spot-light, who seemed to almost revel in being recognized among the people. She was beyond kind and caring, always having a smile on her face, even when in the midst of combat. Jet-Stream just always seemed to be in good spirits and was a positive influence on others. She would also always check up on whoever she helped out of a tough spot after her work was done, before disapearing into the night. She was the very epitome of what a hero should always be. Selfless and self-sacrificing, no matter the cost. And so when her death was made public, everyone was shocked. How could such a beloved Super end up dead? Especially with how she was found. Until her untimely demise, she seemed to be invisincible. Always able to withstand whatever came her way.

So when her corpse was found tied to a chair, broken, bloody and beaten, left in an old warehouse, well, no one had a clue on what to do. Or even where to begin to figure out the puzzle that led to her sudden death.

Secret Identity: . Behind the mask, Page couldn't have been anything else than a hero, even when she was out of uniform and mask. She was always kind and patient to those she worked beside, especially her sidekick. Among all of Aegis, she was known and loved, just a constant ray of sunshine and happiness wherever she went. If someone was sick or under the weather, she was there with a bowl of soup and blankets. Page was one of the best to have around for company, no matter the cost. Whether it was for a round of cards, or drinks at the local bar. She was truly a good time to have around, and the fact that one day, she was just gone has left people not only scratching their heads as for why her, but also wondering on what kind of trouble must she have gotten herself into, to end up that way...

AISLING WARWICK - PALADIN

Powers: . Super Strength, Enhanced Human Condition, Healing

Hero description: . Much like her Hero name would imply, Paladin is about as tough and battle ready as they come. With her innate ability in close quarter combat, mixed with just how durable she is, as well with her duty-orientated mindset, one wouldn't want to get in her way when she's on the clock. Paladin is one of Aegis toughest and most battle proficient turnouts, and one of their proudest accomplishments. In the face of danger, she is often seen with a smile on her face, and unlike others who run from danger, she runs directly into it, head on. Often times even charging through brick walls like a human battering ram. While these quirks do come from the pure fact that she is beyond durable and strong, making for the perfect human shield, one musn't mistake it for recklessness. As Paladin is anything but reckless. Her sense of duty and urgency goes beyond what anyone would expect.

Among the people of Atlas, she is well respected and even a little feared due to how much havoc she could potentially cause if it wasn't for the steady head on her shoulders. Amongst those she works with, Paladin is a mixed bag of opinions. She can go from goofy and cracking jokes with one, and then stone cold faced to someone else. It really does rely where one falls within her personal view and take. While she is sharper around the edges, for those she does come to care for, she's the most loyal and protective person one could ever meet. In the face of battle or even just minor mishaps, Paladin is willing to stand in the blast or take a bullet for someone else within a moment's notice. Not like it would do much in the end to her anyway.

Secret Identity: . Unlike most Supers who rely on a mask or some other form of keeping their identity hidden, Paladin isn't one for masks. She fears no one or nothing to feel the need to hide her face, thus anyone who manages to catch her while on the clock, or during the day when off, they'd recognize her. She's a notable face around Atlas, and seeing as she's gone from being an Underground Fight Club champion from Lower-City Atlas, to being one of the more notable Heroes in Atlas, she has deservingly recieved everything she has accomplished to get over the years.

When not portraying the role of Paladin, but simply being Aisling, she is still a tough nut to crack, but is still capable of cracking jokes and messing around with those she finds herself in the company of. As far as Heroes go, as well as people, one could do a lot worse to be in the presence of anyone else. Aisling is well liked amongst most of her peers, and even healthily feared among some as well. But just like Paladin, Aisling is incredibly loyal and protective of her friends and it's best to leave those she cares about alone. Members of Aegis have said she's the equivalent of, A raging lesbian bull in a china shop after all..

MARKUS WAINWRIGHT - THE LEADER

Face claim: . Manu Bennett
Description: . As far as anyone is concerned, this man is an entire mystery. Outside of the people that work within his collective group, this man might as well not even exist. He's one with the shadows themselves, ever present always watching those who work with Aegis. His intentions with the Supers are entirely unknown, just like most things about this man. But, for those who do know him, know he is a cunning and intelligent individual. Always able to escape from the otherwise iron grasp of Aegis and its cohorts. He's a force to be reckoned with, as far as Aegis is concerned, and for all they know, his control and influence could be far larger than they realize. And that is something they cannot risk.

HARVEY ATKINS - THE RIGHT HAND

Description: . Just like the leader that he follows, Harvey is just as much of a mystery as the rest of them. He's fast, light on his feet, and packs one hell of a right hook. Just ask Mikey after she received a blackened eye from her first conflict with these members. From her telling, he seemed to be fully duty orientated, and once he was spotted by her one night on patrol, he made a run for it. There was a small scuffle before he managed to get one good hit on her, and he vanished into the night. He's one of the few members of this collective group that Aegis have advised to approach with absolute caution if you must engage with him. But avoid at all costs if you can afford it. He appears to come across as no nonsense, and is willing to do just about anything to follow through with his goals, whatever they may be...

SAM CHAMBERS - MEMBER

Face claim: . Willa Holland
Description: . This one is a bit hard to pin down, in more ways than one. She's incredibly fast and light on her feet, not to an inhuman level, but still notably so. A handful of Aegis members have a few run-ins with this one, and they have all said the same thing. She seems to thrive off of the chase. As if she's trying to lead one away, acting as more of a distraction than actually trying to escape you. As once she's cornered, she'll rattle off with a few snarky remarks, before engaging in close-quarter combats. While physical strength clearly isn't her strong suit, her flexibility and stamina are to be noted by all members of Aegis. If one isn't careful, they may end up in one of her traps, and left to be found, long after she has made her escape into the night.

Face claim: . Katie Cassidy
Description: . Whichever poor soul ends up in this one's presence, is simply wished the best of luck and a pat on the back. She seems to relish in a fight, and combined with her battle prowess and seemingly endless stamina, she is indeed a force to be reckoned with. Her connection to The Order is clear to see, and she shouldn't be taken lightly or underestimated. She knows how to put up a good fight, and will not stop until the job is either done, or she is called away once engaged. It is best advised to watch this one with caution and only engage in combat if it is ultimately necessary. Otherwise, avoid at all costs and hope to god she doesn't see you first.

RONAN MALCOLM - MEMBER

Face claim: . Catie Lotz
Description: . Last, but certainly not least, is Ronan. She is one of the five known members of The Order, and is another deadly force to be reckoned with. Contrary to first impressions, Ronan is incredibly strong, and seems to be able to go toe-toe with just about anyone who's willing to engage in combat. Having been able to break a few bones of those who belong to Aegis, she seems to be another one always in the mood for a good fight. And when she sees a good combat partner, she seems to grow increasingly zealous by the moment. As many have said, there is nothing more fatal than a pretty face, except when it's mixed with one who's capable of snapping a neck without barely batting an eye.

SHILOH TAYLORS - POLARIS

Face claim: . Emma Dumont


Hero description: . Polaris is actually one of the lesser liked Heroes Aegis have turned out in recent years. While Polaris has only been around for four years, she has been able to build a reputation among the public rather quickly. And whether it's for better or worse, that is up for you to decide. She's known for her firey temper and rather confrentational personality. Often times being the one to choose to fight first and ask questions later. While she's far from being the worst Hero out there, she is known for causing more harm than good (in terms of property damage in most cases). While she does have a heart of gold and good intent, she does suffer with sudden mood swings, as she does suffer with Bi-Polar Disorder. Being able to come across a bit tempered and distant at times, but it typically easy enough to work with while on the job.

Secret Identity: . When off the clock for Aegis, Shiloh is very much still the same as she is when donning the mask. A bit of a grumpy asshole, but she typically means well. Her ways of showing it just may not always be the best, but she is trying. While most of her private and personal life is kept well, private, people do know she grew up in Lower-City Atlas, to a family that was anything but welcoming. Even after spending some time in a rehabilitation center for a few years to control her powers. Since then, Shiloh has grown a lot in terms of no longer being that scared little girl. She now fights for others and herself, whether on or off the clock as a Hero. She wants the best for the world and a starting point is helping the citizens that live within Lower-City Atlas. Which is how she managed to gain one of the intern spots at Hale Enterprises.

It is also known among those at Aegis, that Shiloh and Andrew are a couple, but their status as a couple is kept out of the public eye when it comes to their Hero counterparts.

ANDREW ROOVIARD - ECLIPSE


Partner: . Polaris (Shiloh Taylors)

Powers: . Photokenesis (Light Control) & Solar Manipulation

Skills: . Mixed-Martial Arts, Mechanical Work, Recon, Map-Making

Face claim: . Sean Teale


Hero description: . Contrary to his partner against crime, Eclipse is a very dutiful Hero. Always seen charging into a fight, but only after making sure the coast is entirely clear. Often-times having to call out to his partner for her to just stay still for more than five seconds. He's seen as the more level headed out of the two, at least in general. But whenever his partner is in clear signs of danger or trouble, it's like a flip is switched and he becomes a force to be reckoned with. Letting nothing stand in his way until his goal is accomplished. Combined with Polaris' abilities, the two are able to not only create a light show of various colors, but they are able to work well with each other in a combative sense, as well as defensive.

Eclipse is also well liked enough amongst Atlas, at least a bit more than his partner is, only because he causes less damage to property than she does. He's known for being a bit overly paranoid and protective of whoever he's on a mission with, but he is incredibly loyal and won't go down without a fight until the mission is complete.

Secret Identity: . On his own, Andrew is such a stark contrast to what his Hero persona is, that no one would ever be able to know he was actually a Super. He works a humble job as a mechanic in one of the shops in Lower-City Atlas, as a way of continuing to give back to his community, as well as keeping his head low and out of the public eye. For those that know him as Andrew, or sometimes even Andy, knows he can be a [i]bit[i] rough around the edges, and a bit guarded. But he does mean well when it comes to those he keeps in his presence. When he isn't busy with his work during the day or being a Hero, Andrew is usually seen around Shiloh, as the two are nearly glued to the hip. Whether as Heroes fighting crime, or just as normal people. The two are nearly inseperable, and it is clear to anyone who looks at the two, to know he is truly in love with Shiloh and would do anything to keep his family safe.
