I'm back 'for real' this time.

Hey guys,

I know a handful of you, mostly veterans. And if I don't know you, I'd love to get to know you! I want to be more involved in the site and the people in it. I'd like for this to be a sort of project for me to get involved in and recruit and have an outlet away from the world now and then.

I am making it a point from this point on to spend more time on RP Gateway, and possibly get involved in RPing sometimes in the future. (Justin, I know you'll be excited as hell about this!) I realize how much I love keeping up with all the old friends who use to occupy my days. Justin has been bugging me for a few years to get back into RPing, and I actually am starting to want to get involved. I hope everyone will take me in well. That's always been a fear, that since I don't have as much experience as others that I will again be seen as a n00b. x_x. It's going to be hard to do that right now since I have finally moved out of the folks' home and don't have internet in my apartment, but I know I can do it if I want to bad enough.

So yeah, I have a tendency to post these topics saying I'm back and then slowly drift away and forget to check it every day. You guys don't let me do that! Email me, AIM me when I'm on, etc.! I think I need help remembering to check the site. Things are more nuts in my life now than every and I need reminders now and then. (I've been so preoccupied with doing laundry, learning to cook, and cleaning my apartment and such, I sooo forgot about a test I had today and probably bombed. I've NEVER done that in my life.)

So yeah, I'm back! And I'm back 'for real' this time with your help. =)

And the chat won't let me connect. It keeps saying that it can't connect and it's timed out. =(

That evil chat!! I shall smite it and then smite Eric!!! Are you trying the "Chat" or the "Chat Beta?" I really haven't a clue what the beta one is, because I personally haven't tried it. I have been using IRC lately, because Java always annoys me. There's also x-Chat that works well too.

Hahaha, ya'll are great. (YES, I live in South Carolina, can you tell! =P ) You don't know how much I appreciate the kind words of welcome. I hope I didn't get myself in trouble with allowing people to bug me to stay. o_O;;

I need to dabble with IRC again. I think Justin had me using that back with the old GWC. I'll have to see if I can't get on the chat tonight, even if I have to go up to Panera Bread up the street to use their wifi.

Speaking as other than an old friend, I would like to offer the following, potentially controversial, advice; while talking with you on IRC would be the deepest pleasure, I would suggest that myself and others will be here again on Thursday after the due date for your research paper and it probably should take precedence over chat. But then I am not an old friend and my perspective is probably skewed.

Your perspective is not skewed! Just because you aren't someone I've know for years doesn't mean I will value your opinion any less. I am hoping to get my research paper mostly done tonight and tomorrow at school between classes, so that I will have time for chat tomorrow. My professor cancelled our 6pm-8:40pm class so that we could work on our papers, and he made it due to his email address by midnight. So I should be fine! Thank you for showing concern for my priorities.

I did get my paper done! It was due at midnight Thursday night, and I think I turned it in around 7:30 or 8. But I have such a hard time getting access to the internet now, there's no telling when I can be on except during/between classes, or if I feel like driving to a hotspot somewhere.

But I'm trying my best to be on when I can! I have even snuck on at work a few times. >_>
