-Calibur stood there, his upper body made compltely of Titanium that was engulfed in shadows that moved about like flames. His eye's a deep ocean blue as he raised his right hand, then his left to his side's. He then moved his legs out so that he was in a horse stance. He smirked a bit, showing some white teeth as the gravity began to surround his form, pushing into the dirt. A small crater of a eight foot radius surrounded him as it grew deeper<c>

[18:52] <SWAT> -As it grew deeper. Calibur laughed a bit as he the shadows and the gravity began to mix together, creating a deadly force that could not be messed with in a close range battle. Deep yelling was heard from within the gravitation and shadows. "Let's have a enjoyable battle, and may the best man win".

-=- Shifted his blade from the confines of his metallic saya. He turned his grin downwards, evening his lips out to a straight. He held the blade with utmost grace, right hand higher than the left on the beautifully furnished hilt. He'd take a breath, lungs bringing life into his eyes as his chest rose slowly against the encompassment of his cottony beater. As his breath came in, a mist likewise to the colour of his eyes drew against his figure, and it thickened as he rotated his palms, traveling with it's resonating allure to the blade of his sword. He merely stood in place, sword held for his foe at a distance. -=-

The plains were misty.

It wasn't uncommon, living near a major river meant that a cold fronts brought in rolling fogs that were ludicrously hard to see in, but this was different. This wasn't natural fog, it was far too clammy; as Asterius rubbed his hands together to warm them up, he cursed whatever had made the weather so cold. Quite aside from the fact it was, indeed, fucking freezing, the visibility problems seriously restricted Asterius' usefulness - sure, he was good with the Mahai, the elven machete-like blade most warriors carried, and he was an accomplished mage, but dammit, he liked shooting people.

But no matter. When he'd been challenged to a duel, he'd come expecting to be handcuffed by something - after all, anyone who knew anything about the city and the province of Laenyen knew of Asterius' prowess with the bow - and so he'd been prepared. His Mahai had been blessed by his tutor Asmodean to be electrified, in a word, and he'd warmed up for this bout by taking on all eight of Asmodean's current students. That explained his uneven, slightly crispy fringe, but he knew that his powers were strong enough.

For a moment, Asterius debated calling the wind in to do it's job and clear the fog somewhat, but it equally became pointless; just a little way ahead stood someone, a man who was drawing mist into him. Evidently, he was the one who had issued the challenge to the elf. Unsheathing his Mahai, Asterius fingered the edge - it drew blood from his finger and sent renewed sparks into him.

mronimusha you should venture away from GWing once in awhile. You'll find that you're not that great. I'm looking at your elemental fight/rp and well, it seems that you greatly need some partners. Yes, Redmoon is a fighting clan. But we can teach people how to rp if they so wish. Although a majority of people who come to us, rather learn how to fight, than rp. Sohjin is away for I don't know how long, he's moving...so maybe I can take swat and mronimusha on myself for some fun. Come catch me on the java chat, I'm on as either Viktor, or Sousuke`Sekimoto.

[This rather arrogant post would beg to differ. Seriously, if you can say I'm not that great and then challenge me and you 2 on 1 in the same post, that's a slap in the face. Particularly since I want to see this person put his or her money where his or her mouth is.]

The rapidly-forming shadows combined with the fog to create an arena that really couldn't have been much worse for Asterius to fight in. Still, he didn't begrudge Calibur bringing the shadows down - he couldn't, they provided him with power in the same way the clouds did Asterius. The crater surrounding Calibur widened, and the elf got the distinct feeling he was enjoying this display of showmanship.

Anything you can do...I can do flashier!

A crack sounded as the rains began to fall, and Asterius looked to the sky. The moon had been blotted out, replaced with visible crackles of lightning; if nothing else, it would provide a very theatrical atmosphere for one or more of the men to breathe their last. Would it be him? No. Anyone willing to handicap themselves in a fight had either grossly underestimated his abilities or overestimated their own, and neither would end pleasantly.
