[align=center]Primary Weapon: Daystar Clarion (Katana)
- Element of Ether ("Fire From The Heavens". Basically, fire in it's most potent form. Even hotter than a flame that has not been mixed with oxygen yet. This element is said to have relation to the stars, but that is a mystery that not even Orias has discovered yet. Coming into contact with flesh in this form will create burning sensations, also using the friction to make dismembering or critical damage somewhat easier.)
Alternate Weapon: Daystar Clarion (Broadsword)
- The weapon in it's true form. The blade is composed of it's very element, though it takes a physical form. If cracked or broken, counter-maneuvers are triggered from the sword such as a projectile or explosion. They vary depending on damage, and cover varying radius. In this form, the blade may serve as the core for his abilities. Orias is not required to use his body for every elemental attack (But they are at only half potential when used through the weapon). The blade may generate these, providing a safeguard against early consumption of his abilities.
The broadsword also serves as an extension of Orias. If knocked away or in the hands of an opponent, the blade becomes nothing more than a simple sword. Constant use of the blade to serve his ability's purposes will eventually wear the blade's edge down. It will become more fragile, until given time to recover in magical prowess. This prevents abuse of his talents.)
Elements Of Use:
- Wind (Naturally, since the Kith are an elemental race of the element wind. This serves many purposes, such as increasing his own abilities in terms of movement, and decreasing an opponent's. He is also able to use it to surround himself, making the opponent apply increased pressure when attempting to stab or cut him.)
- Fire. (Instantaneous use, his blade and body the catalyst for fire-type offense and defense. He is able to manipulate air currents and ambient energy, giving him advanced circumstance in the heat of his attacks. The life of his fire is able to be sustained as long as he is constantly creating the friction and combustion needed to power the element.)
- Lightning. (The double-edged sword. Orias is able to use this element, but will take damage depending on the situation. He is able to push the negative ions at a faster rate, though the radius in which he can spread it is to a miniscule degree. )
- Water. (Somewhat naturally since he is able to manipulate fire and wind. Under water, he is very agile. The resistance is also lessened because of his training for aquatic combat, using the elements he knows and the manipulation of the environment around him to alter his level of mobility.)
Equipment:
- The Hand Of Eden: The lightweight gauntlets upon either of Orias's arms. These are part of his illusory combat skills. Though not necessary for such an ability, Orias uses these to give off the illusion that his arms and hands are on fire. Astral projections are cast off in every direction, confusing the opponent's ability to predict what direction his attacks are coming from. The gauntlets are laced with small amounts of rubber on the inside, able to absorb lightning into them when he uses the element. This, in turn, will allow him to strike the opponent, and discharge the remnants into the body, hitting the nerves for varying levels of damage or immobilization.
- The Eye Of Eden: The necklace about Orias's neck. This serves as a magic "barrier", if you will. With this equipped, Orias is able to perceive the Overworld (The realm of spirits), and have an enhanced vision that gives him nearly 360 degrees of sight. He is only able to use this under complete focus. The downside is that once disengaged, Orias's mind takes a recovery. This may take seconds to minutes, depending on how long he is in this realm.
- The Greaves Of Eden: The metallic boots that Orias wears upon his feet. These serve as the entrance to the Overworld. Simply put, Orias is able to enter the spirit realm for seconds or minutes, depending on the situation. The drawback is that once in the Overworld, he is unable to be touched, or touch anyone. And in the Spirit World, the souls of the dead constantly try to devour his own. If left there too long, he will become insane, a wraith to serve the purpose of those in Hell. Also laced with bits of rubber, he uses these to nullify the paralysis (Though it rarely works for him).
Abilities:
- The ability to manipulate ambient energy.
- The ability to manipulate air currents.
- Illusory combat.
- Able to strike an opponent's internal organs using a mixture of ambient energy, physical action, and wind manipulation.
- Transformation to "Bahamut Orias"
~ He gains somewhat of a transformation. The clothing upon his form hides the scales which present themselves, the gauntlets falling from his body. Orias's physical frame doubles in stamina and endurance, muscles hardening to increase defense against physical strikes. Not much is known about this transformation, but these have been confirmed: Instantaneous use of elements, The ability to absorb energies to a minute degree and concentrate them into a projectile at the casting party.
~A hidden gate opening. This is the Scion's Gate, giving Orias an increased level of reaction time in exchange for half of his mind's control. This gets rid of his ability to use the Overworld, as well as a significant decrease in his perception of the enemy's movements. It becomes normal, just as any other patron would perceive. Orias's attacks become more swift, the pain of one attack doubled almost instantaneously if he connects moments later. Also, Orias is unable to perceive friend from foe. With time, he gains more control, but is interrupted from full focus by the voices of the Overworld begging him to return his bond with them. They perish as he focuses more, but it requires time.
Weaknesses:
- Unable to use most of his techniques instantaneously. They may take time to charge up, giving his opponent somewhat of an advantage if it distracts Orias for too long. Coupled with the fact that he will be using the Overworld, his ability to use elements may, in fact, become null and void because of his mind's inability to concentrate and give commands to his form.
- His stamina decreases with the constant use of his abilities. Orias has gates upon his body, each opening up one after the other to obtain more power and control over a period of time. However, if they are kept open for long periods, his physical body will eventually lose strength. This, in turn, will cause his internal organs to wither, obviously killing him. In total, there are 8 gates. Each gate represents a different area of increased ability, though they vary in time it takes to initiate them.
- With the element of lightning, Orias sustains paralysis for moments. Such a maneuver is used sparingly. Depending on whether is on the ground or in the air, Orias's recovery time lessens or increases.
- Unable to use the Overworld more than four times per day. An attempt at using it will open every gate upon his body instantaneously, causing him to explode..quite literally.
- Orias takes considerably more damage from ice-based attacks. The use of fire allows him to use the drain of cool air from the heat to wrap it around himself. This, in turn, will allow him to take less damage from ice attacks, depending on how much he has used his fire element. This is used because the same defensive ability is used to shield himself from the immense blaze of fire that he uses when using fire.
- When using the elements, if he misses his target, Orias is unable to conjure a second attempt only seconds later unless his adrenaline levels have been increased. Naturally, this will inspire constant momentum in battle. Otherwise, Orias is required to let his body calm from the stress of the attempt until eligible for attack.
~ Eyes Of The Dissonance:
Upon completion of the Temple of Stars' final test, Daystar Clarion resonates with a powerful flame which is able to blind those who come into close proximity. Orias was to witness this phenomena, thus rendering his eyes completely dissuaded from normal perception from that moment forward. If he were to wield such a colossall force, he would irrevocably come to require some unique alteration to the environment that he were able to absorb. The inferno's light would be rendered an aid for him, if he could accomplish such a feat.
Hence, the "Eyes Of The Dissonance". Orias's eyes are permanently cast into a dual realm, his vision symmetric between the human plain, and that of the souls in which he and the Kith are connected. A pool of onyx lay surrounding white pupil, a pale blue iris present within the center of the eyeball.Orias may see into the real world, though he may decide to alter his absorption of light and render himself prone to seeing that which is in the soul's realm, as well. In unison, he is able to detect what is tangible in reality. The light from his blade, luminescent to a dangerous degree until he manipulates the radiant glow, enhances the speed at which he is able to perform this ability, pushing back certain lights if he wishes so that he is able to focus more instantly on the target.
The "Overworld", as it was named, provides Orias the capablity to dissipate astral projections and the like just by eyesight, whilst maintaining a steady stream of focused vision upon his opponent. The "Eyes" may either focus on one realm or the other, doubling his vision to an extent that is much more potent than one's ability to see the mundane. His foe's tangible frame is monitored thoroughly, the speed of movement decreased exponentially as Orias continues combat.
Additionally, Orias may "zoom in", the absorption of his opponent's frame becoming more in-depth, if one would. His gaze is so close to the opponent that he is able to see epidermis stretch at even miniscule amounts, predicting which limb or muscle they will be using for the next attack. He does not have to keep this gaze for long, his unique mental capacity preventing complications of extended focus or concentration. The reliance of this vision is almost never used; though it seems to be a great advantage, sporatic movement will throw this into complete uselessness. This will distract Orias, leaving him open for fatal or near-fatal assault.
This ability should be used with caution. The constance of irregular patterns could diminish the eyes' trained focus, requiring more focus than normal if Orias were to engage in such a technique. Inevitably, it will blind him. This will last three month's time, only the flame of Daystar lighting his path. As such, the spirits from the overworld will feed him memories, tormenting his mind and tearing him away from his sanity.
~ Gaze of Requiem
To disengage the "Eye Of The Dissonance", Orias narrows his eyes slightly and projects an illusory image directly to the front of him in the form of Daystar's light. As the blade moves to and fro, hypnotic "barriers" are projected through the outlines of the flames, settling into the atmosphere after moments. In turn, this creates a "mirror" that the opponent could possibly set eyesight upon, the light bouncing so frantically repeatedly into their line of vision that they see every move that they, themselves, are performing. The environment around them is also altered, the opponent's mind delivering the conclusion that they have been facing the same direction the entire time, though in reality they are turning.
One could call it a "constant singular image", Orias' own pupils and iris rid of the additional lights that are absorbed through the eyes. Depending upon the swiftness of his foe, the image will either be locked in place, or constantly played with every movement that the victim performs. Orias may only make use of the "Dissonance" technique if the opponent manages to exert a mental strength which allows them to dispel the image. Perhaps a rare occurence, Orias seldomly needs to initiate the technique a second time, the first attempt "paralyzing" his foe before facing a gruesome demise by his blade's edge.
The downside to this is that it does not work on those with mental barriers of increased focus. High adrenaline levels will usually dispel the barrier within seconds. More fatally to Orias, a mind of focus will completely nullify this ability.
