Rivera Talimir: ◑ For many years have I known Rivera, she grew up with us within the castle, yet took a different path in life to myself and my sister, she took blade to hand and trained as a knight my father deemed it impressive as did my brother Hadrian. I admire her strength and courage yet we have never bonded as friends, she is good at her job I know I need not fear for Hadrian's life with Rivera around yet a part of me wonders if she is as loyal to us as she is to Hal.
Hadrian DeGrey : ☺ My Brother, My love, My Kin, We have always had a special bond, he was a strong and valiant boy who grew into a stronger and more Valiant man. I am proud to see him face his responsibilities head on and with pride of his country, yet doubt and fear ways heavy on my heart with concern as to where his loyalties really lie.
Henry Devalin: ☺/☠ Dear, Dear cousin, what horrors have I bestowed onto you to make you hate me so? I cease to recall a time when I was not loving and kind to you as a kinsman yet you continue to show your hatred towards us. Granted you hide your disgust well, for if I did not know you so well I wouldn't of had a clue yet you have always been the same my dear and I shall be keeping my eye on you.
Sir Thomas Blackthorne: ♥ Thomas, My one true love on this earth, yet, just out of my grasp, many moons have my eyes danced over his handsome features as my body longed to be pressed against his, yet it would seem it can not be for he is betrothed to my sister, not by choice I grant him that but by his honour to my eldest brother, something I cannot fault him for. Yet why not make the most of the little time we do have left?

Arabella DeGrey:☺ My darling sister, when we were younger we shared a bond some deemed unbreakable yet with age and guilt on my behalf with have grown apart, your little or no faith in our brothers potential as King has torn us further apart, why can't you have faith, are you all blind to his potential? I'd be the first to admit he needs work but he will one day become a great King, fair and just, mark my words. I deeply envy you for being betrothed to Thomas, the man I love, being able to hold him and love him without the secrecy nearly rips my heart to shreds, not just because he is yours but because of the guilt that swells within me when I'm with him, when you come to find out I know you will hate me and that will sadden me deeply as not matter what you think, I do love you sister.

I grew up with you, played with you, hunted, sparred. We even got into a few fights, both with each other and the two of us against others. We were always together, and it hasn't changed, even now. I harbor nothing against your brother and sisters. I have shot down many a man's offer because of you. I wonder often just exactly how you feel about me? I wonder if I do not irritate you, being your bodygaurd...

Rivera Talimir: ◑- You are sly, and you have the wit of a fox. I suspect that you know some things that are really not meant to be known. But I, too, am quite sly. I have seen the way you look at prince Hadrian of DeGray, and I truly wonder whether it is other people that he should be protected from, or you. I am unsure as to whether I should take action. But for now, I will keep quiet. I wish to become friends with you, and yet I feel the cold, calculating attitude that you take is very unnecessary. Thus I will keep my distance.

Rivera Talimir: ☠ - You are a damned a fool who aims far beyond her station. My uncle saw some worth in you, but what that may be I cannot fathom. Perhaps I can use that fine skill you have developed however and like a hawk, break you to my fist and then fly you at my enemies. I know whom you love, whom you truly serve and perhaps I can use you to eliminate a barrier in my path to the throne.
Hadrian DeGrey : ☠ - You I have always liked more then your brother but you are still a DeGrey and the day will come when your entire line must be crushed if I am to have the throne. Until then I will seek to mold you, to guide you, to further weaken your brother so that when the time comes and you are both weak, I will consume you both.

Rivera Talimir: ◑ - Your love for the Prince is well known to me, for I feel the same pain you do. I would speak of it with you if I thought it safe but alas we are both sworn to protect this family and we would destroy each other to preserve these secrets. Your skill with a blade is admirable. We shared poor meals, bloody fields and the loss of comrades together and I pray that your own desire for the throne does not exist for if it does, I surely must be forced to kill you. Eve Devalin: ◑ - Dear lady, I know virtually nothing about you. I have seen you maybe twice at the Royal court and you have been cold and distant both times. I do not blame you for the man you married is a strange one. In time perhaps you will find happiness, I have seen the sparkle in your eye once, though it was not for your husband and I wonder if you are as loyal and faithful as you appear to be.
Duke Henry Devalin: ◑ - I am told I should hate you, despise you and even distrust you but I cannot. You are one of the finest soldiers I have ever served with and I know that you are a leader amongst men. The fear the DeGrey's feel for you makes me wonder however so I must ever be on my guard around you. Until I am given reason to otherwise, I shall trust you and respect you as a soldier.
Christine Huor: ◑ - I have heard the rumours, the whispers behind your back and I can feel nothing but pity for you. Katherine Devalin: ◑ - Lady Devalin, I have only met you twice I believe, once when your brother was wounded and then again at court when the King died. You, like all Devalin's, seem distant and I do not hold that against you. You are sister to a man I admire and I shall treat you with the respect you deserve.
King James: ☺ - My liege, I would protect you with my life but you have made me make a promise I am not sure I can keep. I love your sister but it is not the sister you have asked me to wed. And to think...you seem loyal enough to my James, yet I know you watch him. James will not dissappoint you...he cnnot, for my child shall not be denied their birthright.

"What happened to the squealing child I once knew, causing mischief wherever she went? Could it possibly be that this beautiful young woman, regal and composed, the image of a princess, is that same child? Ah, but I think she is. She has the same mischievous grin as ever. Father was so very proud of how you've grown up. One of his greatest regrets in his final days was not being around long enough to attend your wedding. Please, when you do get married, forget about station and politics. Marry for love and happiness. That is what father would have wanted."

Though Hal is very fond of his sister, her unwavering support for James irritates him. Can't she see how unprepared James is? How far would she follow him? Would she allow him to run fair Avalon into the dirt? But then, Hal isn't really surprised that Gwen cannot see James's unreadiness. He is her elder brother, just as Hal himself. Perhaps she looks up to him, and this blocks her view of James's flaws? Or perhaps it's something else. She has seemed awfully distracted recently... but what by?

"There are those that have said that you and I would be better brothers than James and I. Perhaps that is true. After all, are we not so different? Masters with the blade, skilled on horseback, silver-tongued politicians and respected leaders amongst the soldiers. These descriptions fit us both well, and yet there is naught but polite distance between us. Why are you so loathe to be near me and my siblings? It's a shame really. You are a cousin, and a man for whom I hold respect. The love of family should bring you close to me and my siblings, and bind us together. At the least, there should be a soldier's respect between you and me."

Besides, if James is to rule as King, he will need all the help he can get. Divides amongst our own family are the last thing he needs

((You may have noticed that this section was more about Henry than Eve. That's because, though Hal thinks of Eve as a friend, nothing about her especially concerns Hal, whereas her husband does. So often thinking of her will lead Hal to think of Henry))

Hard-headed and cunning, Arabella somehow never seemed to have the same genuine innocence that Gwen did. Even as children, she seemed the more mature one to Hal. But Hal loves her just as much, and they are very close. Hal's always been looking out for both of his sisters, making sure they didn't get into too much trouble when they misbehaved. Later on it seemed more and more that Gwen was the cheeky one, but Hal knew that all too often Arabella was the master-mind behind their naughty little plans. Now that she's grown-up, Hal can see in her eyes a yearning for adventure. He can't help but imagine that some day soon she'll decide to become Avalon's ambassador, to Luxor and all sorts of exotic locations, to travel the world by ship. She's cunning enough to do it. The idea that she might leave to go off on her dreamt of adventures makes Hal a little sad, for he will surely miss her when she's gone, but happy too. She's free-spirit, and fully capable of looking after herself. She belongs out in the world, not tied down as a mother.

•Gwendolyn DeGrey: ☺: You are my sister. Even though Rivera will always be like a sister to me, you will always be my real sister. Lately we have been having are arguements about who should be king. I think it is best if we don't disagree but there is nothing I can do if we do. I have never asked you why you support James so much and I'm starting to wonder why. Maybe sometime in the near future we can discuss it.

You are very beautiful and I will always envy you for that. But I would not like to be you, you seem to not care if your tied down to be a mother someday, and I have always questioned why. That is not a topic that is very easy to bring up so I will not. (Arabella does not see that Sir Tomas Blackthorne and Gwen are in love, she will not allow herself to.)

•Rivera Talimir: ☺: You are my closest friend. Your like a sister to me. We share similer things, like our sense of adventure. I will always be able to trust you. Hal will be able to trust you too. You may not know this but I see how much you love him. How could you not though? He's kind, noble, and a great ruler. He also happens to be a great brother that I love with all my heart. That is why I wonder why you have not told him. Knowing Hal, he will not hurt you. Even if in the end he doesn't love you at least you will have an answer. That's all that matters right? Do you think you could go your whole life without telling the one you love that you love them? I just only wish you would tell me you love him, so we could discuss this further.

•Henry Devalin: ◑: I can count on my hand the number of times I have talked to you. I have seen you but never talked. That means that I have no reason to hate you. I have heard bad things about you though. I have heart that you like to sleep with younger women, and that you are very evil and want to take down the king. I know I don't like James being king but I do not want him dead. I hope that those rumors are not true, but deep down inside I know they are. So that is why I make it my goal to avoid you.

•Eve Devalin: ◑☺ : Your seem shy. I do not think I have every talked to you all but once. You seem shy but yet loving. That is why I wonder why you are married to such a horrible person like Henry. That is if the rumors are true about him. That makes my wonder. How old are you? You look young, so that would make one of the rumors about him true. I have to wonder if you will ever have children? You seem like you would make a good mother.

Some wonder if you are more then just a shy women. If you are secretly evil. But I have no option on that, I have no right to have one I do not know you well enough.

•Sir Thomas Blackthorne: ♥ : I do love you very much. But soon I'm going to have to tell you that it will be hard to have me as a wife. That I don't know if I want to be tied down with kids. I fear that if I tell you that, you won't marry me. You must wonder why I would fear that because if you don't marry me I will be free. But the Truth is when I found out about the wedding I wasn't happy at all. How could I marry someone I didn't love? But over time I have grew to love you. But have you grew to love me? (She doesn't know he loves gwen though.)

•Christine Huor: ◑ ☠ : You shouldn't marry someone for power. I can see why you would marry someone so your child would not be born a bastard. You don't like most of my family, I can tell. But you don't seem to hate me. So that is why I'm not sure if I should hate you or not care about you. Most people in this family don't trust you and I don't either. I feel like if I do something you dislike you'll react like a snake. You will sneak but on me and then strike what I am not expecting it. That scares me. But I am prepaired.

Hadrian DeGrey ☺: You are most likely the best ruler this country could see. I will always beleive that you will make a good king. You are also a big part in my life. You, Rivera, and me had so much fun as children even though you are two years older. Most of my memories are with you, even as we grow older you still feel like a big part in my life. My older brother. I think you see see me for who I really am. You say me as a person who is not ready to settle down and have a family and most likely never will. Even though I will always hope to find love I still want to be free, and you see that.

Katherine Devalin ☠ : I think I may dislike you more then your brother. You have a short temper, and never seem fully happy with anyone. I have strong feelings of dislike to you because of it. I do not beleive that would make a good ruler of anything. But that is only me being truthful. Around you I just look straight ahead and don't pay attention to you. It's not that I would care if you knew I disliked you, it's just that I do not want you as a ememy.

James Nicholas DeGrey ☺ : No matter what you will always be my brother and I hope you know that. I still love you, I am just a bit mad at you for not taking your king duties seriously. That is why I will always think Hal will make a better king. Gwen seems to think you will make a great king, I have no clue why she does though. You just are not ready to be a king, and I do wish you would say that you would not make a great king because this country needs a good ruler right now.

Gwendolyn DeGrey: ☺ Out of everyone that squawk and squander across the Palace grounds, I would have to say Gwendoyln is by far the only thing with two legs I feel completely platonic towards. I mean it quite honestly! Trust me! I have tried just to spite Jamie at times! Nothing! She a very genial and bright woman, beautiful to, any man who is able to catch her would not have not been deserving!
Rivera Talimir: ◑/♥? If more girls were like Rivera Talimir, the men around court would have to start where skirts like the little girls they are. (Which means I can finally try out that new outfit I have been saving in the back of my closet!) Honestly though, don't underestimate her in combat because she is a woman and don't underestimate her socially because she is a commoner. You will find to have a very unpleasant evening and if you are extremely lucky just one black eye across your face. With all that considering, of course I would try to share sheets with her, if anything just to have the bragging rights that I did!
Hadrian DeGrey: ◑/♥? Now here is a thought, consider a man that is accusing his neighbor of being a fool while he is drinking and whoring and you will get Hal in a heart beat. The man is a utter hypocrite by all standards of the word who's only real saving grace is a marvelous singing voice. I mean it! We use to pretend to be girls when he was so piss drunk and convince him to sing ballads of beauty and flowers back in the campaigns. Good times, of course he had found out and almost killed us but that is another story for another time. All things considering, at least Hadrian is challenging Jamie for the rights reasons. He's not being a mean spirited little cunt nor is he being a haughty self righteous messiah, whenever he brings something up he brings it up as a brother and someone loyal to the well being of the realm. I can respect that, besides, being a meat head knight means you have to build up a wondrously toned body. I wonder if I can slip in the next time he goes to the pub.
Henry Devalin: ☠ Speaking of mean spirited little cunts, what can I say about the most gracious Duke of Devalin and the Western Reach? From what I gather from the young ladies at Western Reach, I understand why he wanted so badly to take up swordsmanship (or so I spread across every corner of Avalon, I think their making a lude poem and ballad about it now, I'll wait til the dramatic production comes around). Ambitious little toads like Devalin only know one thing in this world: envy. Every since he was wet nurse, all this prat has known is being the large number 2 of the land, second wealthiest man, second powerful man in the kingdom, second family in line to the throne. Henry won't stop at that, he could be a king in his own right in his own lands and he wants more like some whiny girl on her birthday. Let him spark his rebellion with his meat headed subordinates and let be crushed by the full weight of the crown. I will drink to your death while sleeping with your wife, enjoying your bed and title. Of course if by a SLIGHT chance Jamie should fail on that end. Luxor is always nice in the summer.
Sir Thomas Blackthrone: ◑/♥? Honorable, Handsome, Chivalrous, Pure; Everything you would consider the poster child of those awfully boring Knight Stories you will find in Sir Thomas Blackthrone. I hear he is still a virgin, and I find that absolutely adorable! Its too bad that he is going to marry one of Jamie's sisters so that makes him practically untouchable unless I want to enjoy my new life in the most barren fringe of the world representing my crown and country far, FAR away from court as some minor diplomat. Still, it is at least refreshing to see something pure and honest in this court of intrigue, scandal, corruption, politics, mind games and so forth. Who cares if it will be tarnished come the years onward the key is to enjoy and savor it now.
Christine Huor: ◑ The woman doesn't have my pity, she has my sympathy and compassion which I find is exceedingly rare at times. To be pitied would mean I am somehow above her standards, in a just world I would be called a slut not her. Jamie has been handling this very horribly as in denying her ever lasting existence which has spawn countless rumors and gossip which I have been curving his own damn sake. The child growing in her belly is dangerous, because it is Jamie's and every damn conniving scheming little cunt and his bitch will try to use that child as their puppet if it is abandoned, as their claim to controlling Avalon. I see her marrying some old worthless nothing in the months to follow and sadly fading into obscurity with the shame of it all.
Arabella DeGrey: ☺ Oh Arabella! You are by far the most adorable little thing ever! Certainly you have grown, goodness and god's alive have you grown! But to me you will always be that little girl that wanted to explore every chamber in the castle. What can I say? She is fun, outgoing and for god's sake alive at times! Which is fair more than what I can say about HALF of these stuffy birds that puff their chest when their precious feathers are ruffled.
Katherine Devalin: ◑/♥ Its a very queer world out there, I think this suppose god in the sky might be a ranting loon with a very vulgar sense of humor. I hate Henry Devalin like the mercilessly, conniving, two faced, mean spirited, meat headed cunt that he is; but when it comes down to his sister I can not find a wretched word to escape my tongue. Shes beautiful, well dressed, fair breeding but what I think I like about her the most is her drive and how incredibly petty she is. I mean it! I think I have found myself in drag when I stare at her! She's manipulative, vain, slightly cruel at times, dirty, dishonest, loose but all at the same times she just so damn interesting to follow! To listen to! To hear about! Could I honestly and genially be in love with this woman? Parish the thought, never met your reflection dearests listeners, you may never wish to part from it.
James Nicholas DeGrey: ☺ I still remember the day which we had met in the army those many years ago. At first to be honest, I thought he was a prat and a tool. But the time I served with him, the stories and adventures we had been through, the amount of booze he could drink any fool under the table just made him fun to be around. From drunken rowdiness, to bedchamber duels, hunts to parties to heart to heart talks, Jamie will make a decent man and even more decent King. Now if I could only convince half the country that that would truly be a miracle. I suppose what I respect the most is that he genially cares about his brothers and sisters, in a matter I would have never suspected in a man of his position and situation.
Thomas Clarkson: ◑/♥?: The Manliest of all men. No I am serious. Here is a man that has defeated armies, killed countless men, loss and gain countless fortunes and only loved one woman. In all definition he should be considered one very large thug or brute; but damn it all this man is a living exception to that rule.
Sir Anthony Spencer: ◑ Who?? Oh dear you mean that creepy bearded ape that follows Gwen all day!? God's alive! I have met some very curious head cases in my time but something about that man merely sends shivers down my spine! And not the good ones either! I should only try to convince Gwen to place a falcon hood on his head or something on that matter!
Lelinus DeGrey: ◑/♥? Lelinus DeGrey, I should honestly be more cautious about him but the way he tries to act like he is in control of any situation just makes me want to forgive him like a pet puppy that father never allowed me to have! There is some truth in the fact that he should not be crossed, he has assembled many, many friends in every court and I have to admit my gossip is fun but I could never imagine how on earth he finds out things before everyone else does. I never tell it to his face, but I admire his upbringing, I find it interesting being promised nothing and expected as nothing and rising to the niche which he has filled for Jamie and the Crown. With everything else said, he has some very nice legs. I can't help but notice them every time when encounter one another. I honestly suspect he hates my guts, but as long as he doesn't eat too much barley I won't entirely care.
Basilio Elim Krishna: ◑/♥? Many are impressed with the new Ambassador from Luxor, though considering our last Ambassador that was not much of a competition. Pathetic wimp of a creature the last one was, though his son was quite welcoming to teaching me a few intriguing new things that all the women in Luxor are performing to their lovers, I am beginning to suspect why they don't wear too much lipstick. But where was I? Oh yes, This Elim. Well I find him to be a rather interesting fellow, intelligent, charming, friendly but more important prudent. I think I will be eagerly following his story and how it unfolds in Avalon, for in court the most interesting things always happened to interesting people. Also, hes rather handsome for a man his age which is always a bonus in my book. I wonder if I can bump off some Luxorian Wine he keeps giving out like trinkets at a party.
