Had this idea for a storyline:
Outside space-time physics, six unique ecosystems respectively cover this six-sided cube planet. A spherical track exists within the cube, allowing travel to any other side from stations in the middle of every side. Haven't established what ecosystems cover the plains, but the main story revolves around main characters who come from different sides, meet on the sphere, and get into an adventure to find the secrets of their curious celestial body. Sort of like Journey to the Center of the Earth, but obviously not conforming to known science, so creative solutions to gravity/time/revolution/etc are welcomed.
Neither do the ecosystems conform to reality, so use creativity here also.
