Han - We're nearing land now, use your verniers to slow your decent and land as lightly as you can. We want to keep all noise to a minimum.

The four mobile suits shook the ground with a thump as they hit the ground. The verniers had slowed their decent well enough that no one should have noticed, and if they did, they would have probably thought it was thunder from the night's thick clouds.

Han - Disengage the Atmochutes.

Eota and Base pulled the control to disengage the shuts from their Taurus units. Han and Zach in the Epiphany did the same.

Han - Ganymede, Callisto...run a system check on your mobile suits.

Han turned towards the Epiphany, which was in the direction of the base. He narrowed his eyes at the outline that he could just barely make out.

Han - Charon, I don't like the feeling I get about this.

Eota sat in his cockpit reading through the manual for his Taurus on his right monitor. Base popped up in a comm. window near the manual.

Base - Ganymede, you alright over there?

Eota - The ride through the atmosphere was a bit of a test sometimes, but I think we passed with flying colors.

Han - Keep comm. traffic down to a minimum boys.

Han turned back towards Zach in the Gundam.

Han - We move on your command, Charon.

"Right, proceed with caution guys."

Slowly the four Mobile suits moved through the forest, making sure not to knock over any trees or make too much noise.

After a few minutes of silent tree-weaving, the group made its way to the perimeter of the factory where at least forty MS were lined up. The ten foot fence was merely a stepover for the large MS.

"So Charon... do we just shoot them?"

"Callisto, we need to make sure to completely annihalate not only the MS that have been built, but the factory itself. Io and I will take care of the factory, you and Ganymede can take care of these MS."

"Heh, fish in a barrel."

Zach and Han made their way over to the large building. Through the large door the finished MS would leave through, they could seen the assembly line. This factory seemed to have a line for Leos, another for Aires, and a last one for Tragos.

Something didn't click with Zach; something didn't make sense, but he didn't have time to worry about it. The more time he spent worrying, the less time they had to destroy the factory before they had to head back to The Gilgamesh.

"Alright everyone, ignite beam sabers and start commence havoc on my mark, three... two... one... MARK!"

Before any action could be taken, bright yellow warning lights began flashing along with a loud siren that every MS factory had. These were to warn anyone in the staging area that there was an MS on the way out. Within a few seconds the doors slowly began to open and a single man ran out. After he was about five yards away he pressed a button on a detonator he was holding.

As if on queue, as soon as the order to attack was given, the MS factory went up in a single explosion. The man continued to run, attempting to outrun the explosion behind him. He was running at full speed, his trench coat flapping wildly behind him and a quarterstaff over one shoulder. From the looks of it, this attack hadn't been well planned out, or had just gone wrong, because the man was sent hurtling as the explosion happened. He landed with a loud thud around thirty yards away from where he had been when the explosion happened and rolled another few yards, ending up laying face up in the middle of the staging area, the flashing yellow warning lights perfectly illuminating where he had landed. The man smiled as he looked up at the four MS that were standing there. It was the Epiphany. So it was them after all. What would be the next move? Val guessed he’d just have to leave that up to the pilots of the Mobile Suits, after all, they were in control now.

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Jyotika on Thu Oct 13, 2005 7:44 pm

Four identical green blades pierced the night. The quarry had revealed itself. The group was smaller than first expected, but that was to their advantage. Before they could begin their assault. The task force of twenty Aires and Thirty Tragos had been powered up and had removed their camoflauge netting.

The Aires took to the air in four formations of five, the tragos in ten formations of three which surrounded the base on the ground. The Aires would prevent the Virgos from taking flight whilst the Tragos took them out from the ground.

It had been Jyotika's plan from the start when he knew that terrorists were out to debunk him and his empire. Knowing that they'd get MS sooner allowed him to corner their resources and take them out.

The Aires swooped in from their different directions one-by-one in order to get the most shots at the offending suits. The Leos standing on the production deck were simply metal shells, no interior components whatsoever. Red leader coordinated the Aires to take out the Virgos first while the Tragoses focused on the Gundam itself.

The net was tightening on the four terrorists, who were now surrounded.

Now to bring up the catch.

OOC - They're Taurus Mobile Suits not Virgo's

IC -

Base and Eota jumped at the same time within their cockpit.

Base - Shit! It's a trap.

Eota - Captain Obvious, once more...

The Taurus units had survived the explosions, but they did take some damage. Han glared as he lifted up one of the Leo shells as a shield.

Han - Callisto, you stay close to Charon...

Base - Why!?

Han - Just do it! Their focus is the Gundam, watch Charon's back. Use these Leo's as shields!

Base and Eota did what they were told.

Eota - Stay safe...Callisto.

Base - You too, Ganymede...alright Charon! Let's do this!

Epiphany and Base in his Taurus quickly jumped in the air and landed out of the fray. Han on the other ran ran up to the first Targos he saw, blocking it's rounds with the Leo shell. In a fierce battle cry Han slammed his beam rifle through it's main camera, pulled back and swung the Leo as hard as he could in the Taurus knocking the Targo's over. He then fired several shots into it. The rest of the Asian team was a bit surprised, they weren't expecting the Taurus to move like that.

The Aries began to pound down on Han and Eota from the air with their chain rifles. Eota glared as he jumped into the air, and remembering how to transform from the manual. The Taurus transformed and took off. Eota was surprised at the speed from the transformed state of the mobile suit, but quickly pulled it back around aiming at the Aries. Eota smirked to himself as he began to fire the beam rifle aiming for the Aries engines on the back that keeps them aloft, sending one of them crashing to the ground and then targeting another to begin doing the same. With barrel rolls, and aerial maneuvers that Eota only knew about through all of the flight simulator games he had played in video games, Eota did his best to dodge the attacks of the weaker Aries units.

Below, however, Han was moving at his own impressive speed. In burst from his Taurus's verniers, Han managed to dodge, strafe, and avoid most of the attacks that were aimed at him. This isn't to say that he hadn't taken any damage. He wasn't a super human, but the experience from the previous wars had made him a deadly pilot. Han made sure he was precise with his Beam rifle shots. Targeting the weapons of the Targos and their main camera's. After seven more had been taken out, Han threw down what was left of the nearly destroyed shell of the Leo, and picked up another one and began to back up firing at the Targos and managing to take out two more.

Looking to the skies, Han saw that Eota had three Aries on his tail, and he was trying to dodge their attacks within the fighter mode transformation.

Han - Impressive, Ganymede...

Han threw the Leo forward as artillery pounded into it, denting and destroying the frame. Han jumped back into the air and transformed, flying over the Targos that had fired at him and landing a few shots from his beam rifle on them, before pulling back around towards the right and flying behind the team of Aries after Eota.

Han - Ganymede, you have three on your tail...pull straight up...

Eota followed his commander's advice and pulled up on the controls. The G force pulled Eota back into his cockpit, as flashes of light appeared behind him. In smoke and ruin, the three Aries crashed into the ground, plowing into the ruins below. Han pulled up along side Eota and made a slight nod as he appeared on his monitors.

Han - We stay together at this point, just keep alive. We're faster than the other suits, so we should be alright. Once Charon gives the single, we break off.

Eota - Roger that, Io.

Han and Eota pulled through the night sky at near top speed, dodging the attacks from the Targos and Aires as best they could.

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Zach_Rendar on Thu Oct 13, 2005 9:41 pm

Zach cursed in his cockpit. How could they have been surrounded so quickly? They weren't expecting any resistance at all, and now it turned out that this factory was merely a shell meant to entice attackers to come out into the open...

And they had fallen into it.

"Callisto! Watch my back and keep the Aires off me, the Tragos are keeping us from escaping. We need to break a hole in their circle and find the shuttles!"

"Gotcha, Charon!"

The beam cannons on the Tragos packed a punch, but there was a reason they were put out of commision when the Gundams came around.

With his beam saber at full length, Epiphany charged the ranks of the Tragos. The suddenly lack of fire showed the enemy pilots' inexperience and panic, giving Zach the opportunity to remove the top from the treads. The top portion fell to the ground, sparking and backwards.

"Charon! One at a time isn't helping, and these Aires aren't making things easier! Why not use your throwing thingie?"

Base fired indescriminately into the air, knocking an Aires from the sky. It spiralled out of control to make a groove in the forest nearby. No explosion, no casualty. The Defenders were living up to their name.

Activating the energy refractors in his beam saber, Epiphany's beam boomerang came into existance. Making sure he aimed carefully, he threw the weapon, taking off two of the Tragos' heads. The rest turned to him and began firing before being decapitated by the boomerang's return.

"So THAT'S what it looks like. It's cool when it's not being used on you!"

"Fight now. Appreciate later."

A wave of Aires chain bullets ran up the back of Epiphany knocking it forward, Zach put out the foot just in time to catch it.

"Callisto! What're you doing back there?!"

"You try hitting Aires at night in an unfamiliar suit, how's your hole coming?"

"It's coming, where're are Io and Ganymede?"

"They're in the air! I'm trying not to hit them!"

"I'm getting sick of this!"

Zach opened Epiphany's chest and let out a spray of micro missiles that peppered the ring of Tragos, blowing their limbs off, destroying their treads, their heads, and ultimately creating a hole big enough to get through.

"Good idea! Cover me!"

Like two dancers, the MS switched places, the Taurus began firing on the Tragos still showing signs of life, taking off their heads with well-placed shots, and Epiphany scattering Aires formations with shots from the Vulcan Cannons.

"We're running out of room, Charon!"

"Get Ganymede and Callisto, we need to get back-to-back to cover all bases!"

Base sent out the directions to Han and Eota, hopefully the four would get out alive.

If not, there'd be four smoking craters in the middle the ring of Tragos.

The directions from Base came over Han's screen. Han opened up a channel with Eota.

Han - Ganymede, we're going down, get over base and land beside him...they want us to be back to back.

Eota - Alright, flying over now!

Han and Eota flew over the Base and Zach then transformed back to mobile suit mode. As they fell to the ground Han and Eota fired several shots from their beam rifles taking out four more Aries. They landed shaking the ground around them.

Han - Been waiting long?

Zach - Glad to see you could make it.

Han - We were a bit tied up taking out some of those enemies.

Han and Zach smiled to themselves as Zach again threw out the beam boomerang cutting through the lower section of an Aries before it came flying back. Han looked at the ring around them, there weren't many Targos units left.

Han - I say we rush them. They can't hold us all back. We rush in, try and take at least a few of those that are left, and then rendezvous in a safe location.

Zach - Was thinking the same thing.

Base - Well at least we've shown we're not push overs!

Eota - Right! Let's keep that up! Shall we?

All four of the pilots focused hard on the path they would take to exit.

Zach - Now!

In a burst of light from each of the mobile suits activating their verniers, the four pilots went out in separate directions. Han, Eota, and Base all transformed into fighter mode for more speed, though Base showed a little difficulty in the transformed state. Zach's Epiphany, used it's beam saber to cut across one more Targos, while Han and the others landed several shots from their beam rifles against theirs.

It was amazing how four pilots were able to defeat the Tragos with superior technology. Even with the Aires pouring hellfire from above, Zach was able to mop up the remainder of the Tragos in front of him and help Eota with his. A solid half of the Tragos-ring had been defeated, and Zach had enough time to make a scan for MS-compatable shuttles to take them up into orbit. They only had twenty minutes left to get on them and make it back up to The Gilgamesh before they had to wait another ninety minutes for it to orbit the Earth again, and by then Jyotika could have all of Asia on their butts.

It was time to make a break for it. The factory had been destroyed, and they had to get out of there.

"Here we go!"

Like dogs from the neuter center, the four MS fled towards the shuttles.

Han, Eota and Base stayed in an arrow formation in fighter mode, with the Epiphany in the center.

Han - We have to load up fast, secure the mobile suits onboard the shuttle as best, but as fast as you can!

The four mobile suits made it to the shuttle, Han and the other Tauri transformed back to mobile suit mode. Eota and Base turned towards the way they came aiming their beam rifles as Han stayed close to Zach. Zach, in the Epiphany, began to overide the controls to the Shuttle. The doors open wide and the four of them quickly loaded in. Han stopped his Taurus within the loading area and quickly road a zipline down to the ground.

Han - I'll get the shuttle started, Ganymede, Callisto, one of you secure my Taurus down!

Han pulled himself up the ladder as fast as he could, making his way to the cockpit. After Zach had secured the Epiphany in place he followed Han up.

Outside the Asia forces were coming up around them as fast as they could, they all would be cutting it close.

Han was glad to see that these shuttles were readying to go up into space, and quickly plotted in a course. Strapping himself into the seat he began to double check all the systems on the shuttle. Zach pulled himself into the cockpit and closed the hatch behind him.

Zach - I'll handle those systems...

Han - Right.

Zach got into the co-pilot's seat and strapped himself in taking over for Han, as Han began focusing more of the pre-launch procedures. Eota opened up a comm. transmission from inside the bay of the shuttle.

Eota - All mobile suits are now secure, sir.

Han - Good work. Ganymede, Callisto, get into your Taurus and ride from in there.

Base and Eota - Yes, sir!

Han then started everything up for launch and a countdown began. Han looked to Zach.

Han - Ever cut one of these so close?

Val couldn't believe his luck. He had just been in the middle of a MS fight with nothing but a quarterstaff and survived! All at once the four attacking MS made a break for it. Val had no idea what they were doing or where they were going, but this was his chance. He hit the second button that was on the controller he had and four gun turrets came up from the top of the base with a loud whine. Each turret was manned by a member of the Caligo Elite and the ammo was fed into the guns by the best mechanic the Caligo Umbra had to offer. All at once the four turrets opened fire at the Aries in the sky. Explosions erupted in the sky. Every Aires was caught off guard, even if they were expertly trained pilots, they'd still have had an extremely difficult time avoiding the surprise barrage that Val had prepared for them. One by one the Aires fell until there way not a single one left in the sky. Val watched as the sky was lit up in an amazing show of lights. He hadn't seen anything this beautiful since Space Station Libra had been destroyed by Herro Yuy in AC 195. Val let out a laugh and ran back towards the main entrance to the base. He had a few letters to send, first off, he needed to get in contact with the Defenders.

Before Zach could answer, a set of explosions lit up the night sky, and the shuttle was lightly peppered with small pieces of shrapnel.

"Punch it!"

The final thrusters kicked in and the shuttle made its way up into space.

A few minutes later, the shuttle shot through space into the L2 area. A strange silence had fallen over it, somehow, they had gotten away, someone inside had saved them from the Aires.

Who had it been?

Val got to his office and immediately had the base on lock down. There was no way that Jyotika could attack right away but it wouldn't take long before there was some sort of retaliation. Val dropped to the chair by his computer and sent out a message to the general L2 and L3 area, making sure to encrypt it so nobody from Earth could read it. After that was done Val ordered an immediate evacuation of the base. The turrets were switched on to automatic and every member of the Caligo Umbra from the base boarded The Absolution, along with Takimi and Val's incomplete MS, the Hyperion.

The message he sent read as follows:

I can only hope that the Defenders are the ones that will receive this letter. My name is Val Trall and until a few days ago I was allied with Jyotika. Though now I see this was a mistake, at the time, Jyotika claimed to be following Lord Milliardo’s vision, but that is not true. Someone that is so heartless and willing to sacrifice their own personal is not worth serving. And now, I am humbly asking for you assistance and perhaps an alliance. I am the one that destroyed the single production MS factory. I did this in an attempt to get your attention. I was, however, unaware of exactly how many MS Troops that Jyotika had in his possession. Had I know that my actions would have put you in danger, I never would have proceeded. I am also the one that called the turrets to come to your aid as you were fleeing. I can only hope that this action along with information I can provide on Jyotika will be enough to convince you. As of now, my troops and I are en route to our main base “Antioch” which is located off the coast of the North America Nation, just north of New York. Our E.T.A. back to Antioch is about six hours from the time this message was sent. Hopefully I will hear back from you.

Sincerely,
Val Trall
