Tue Nov 05, 2013 8:41 am Callista I've been flirting with the idea of RPing for a very long time and I have been roaming around RPG Forums for a long time but most of them looked complicated and in need for experienced RPers (and I wasn't).
RPG Chat caught my eye at once because it had so many possibilities and mainly because of the Beginner's Roleplay section.Being as unexpirienced as I was I was thrilled to find that there was a place where I could start easy and not being intimidated so I became a member in the blink of an eye.

I quickly fell in love with the Forum and the variety of storylines in it! A great plus is the helpfull staff that help you and answer your questions (and I had lots of them!) and both staff and users are friendly creating a very fun and easygoing enviroment!

Thu Oct 31, 2013 2:08 am dorana I've been a member of RPGchat since end of 2001. Yea I know, it's been a while.
The website has grown, aged and matured along side me for the passed 12 years.

The community has grown to it's current status and the forum is always active, discussions and role-play alike.
The site has a very dedicated staff placed throughout the world allowing the site to be moderated 24/7

RPGchat offers role-playing in any genre you might wish, from medieval fantasy to futuristic space quests. there is something for everybody.

If you want a haven for your role playing this IS the site for you.

Wed Oct 30, 2013 7:09 pm Pelican For many years I flirted with RPGChat, but being as shy as I was, I never actively became a part. A post here and there, like popping bubble wrap once every decade.

Then 2013 rolled by, and I bought a lifetime supply of bubble wrap. Now I'm popping bubbles all year round - RPing, scribbling poems and being exceptionally obscure half the time. I've finally joined the community, and I genuinely love it. You'll find lovely people here, lounging in snazzy lawn chairs, being as creative as bloody well possible.

So shuffle in your lawn chair and join. You'll like it here.

Wed Oct 30, 2013 1:27 pm The Ninth Rpers looking for variety and a relatively nice community should go to this place. Been a member for a while now and while I cannot always be 100% active I rarely regret the time I do spend there. Are there some folks you won't like? Of course. Every site has folks like that but I am glad to say that the amount of jerks on rpgchat is below the average number. So I would suggest you check it out, you might just find the rp experience you've been looking for all along. 10
Wed Oct 30, 2013 4:57 am DvdExod I've been playing in RPGChat for over 10 years and I have an absolute love for the site. I originally joined because I was looking for a new chatroom to play in and slowly but surely I began to get into play by post roleplaying.

When I first started I was for the lack of a better word, horrible. However, after playing off again and on again for several years I became a lot better and now consider myself to be a talented roleplayer, but still has room for improvement. RPGChat allowed me to discover my hobby of writing and everytime I play there I improve and am happy to be back from an extended hiatus or two.

If you love roleplaying, or at just beginning, then I would recommend playing at RPGChat, There is a forum for just about anything and the staff that runs the site know what they are doing! I hope you consider joining and see you IC!

Wed Oct 30, 2013 2:47 am Cynastix Having been a member of this RPGC for well over 10+ years I can safely say that this is one of the best sites out there for roleplaying. RPGC has something to offer for newcomers to roleplay as well as experienced roleplayers and the staff is always very welcoming and helpful. The site also offers forums for poetry, art, etc. and even has reincorporated it's chat feature into the website. Although RPGC has admittedly had it's ups and downs through the years and it's own share of drama the website has grown and matured into a wonderful place where creativity can blossom. 10
Tue Oct 29, 2013 9:47 pm B&S I started posting on RPGchat about twelve years ago as a teen. There were then and still are a number of very skilled writers among its members. There is a very broad selection of stories at any given time, and it allows for people of all interests and abilities to find something suited to them. Recent staff changes seem to have solved some issues the site was having in recent years, where the previous owner had seemingly abdicated himself of the sites responsibilities and left it with little guidance. It serves as home now to both a young group of writers extending to people far older, and the available stories at any given time reflects these diverse age groups interests and attitudes. 10
Tue Oct 29, 2013 8:28 pm Bleu I've been writing for many, many years. When I though about a forum roleplay for the first time, I was intrigued. It took me a long time to find a good website, and there was none that fit the bill like RPGChat. The staff is excellent, the members are friendly, and the forums are superb. I haven't come across anybody who was ever rude or unfriendly. I have been writing there for nearly a year, and I love it. It is user friendly, and it is very broad in what it offers. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get some creative writing done! Excellent website! 10
Tue Oct 29, 2013 7:29 pm Primus A great place to frequent. Love the fantasy section and the Clans and Guilds section. Definitely recommend. Even the art section is amazing. 10
Tue Oct 29, 2013 5:51 pm Lacquer Ignore the dramatics. RPGChat has come under completely new management, and suddenly there have been no bans, no disputes, and lots of activity. It's a little different from other RPing sites in that the member base is a little bit old-school, but I think that adds a unique flavor. They also have a certain emphasis on poetry and art forums so that's a good place too; you'll get as much recognition for your art as you would your RPing. If you're looking for a smaller but tightknit, active group, this is it! 10
Fri Nov 14, 2014 2:37 pm Tiko I recently returned to this site after a lengthy hiatus, and I will say that I was impressed with what I found. The place has seen a lot of recent development and improvements, and they offer a number of convenient features. The forums are kept extremely organized and clean, and it's very easy to find the active content without sifting through 12 years of inactive RPs. Furthermore the staff was receptive and very approachable when I went to them with inquiries. The only reason I chose to not rate it a 10 is that it is a recovering website and its player base is on the small side, which offers a limited pool of players to recruit for new roleplays - especially large roleplays. I see no reason that their userbase won't continue to recover and grow though, and I recommend this website to players looking for a fresh start. 9
Wed Oct 30, 2013 2:47 pm Rey'na Darkfire Love this site so much! Started out when was about seventeen but fell off due to life and issues. But now that I am back, the ideas are flowing and there are great RP'ers who play along with the crazy! Highly recommend this site! 9
Sat Apr 13, 2013 12:20 pm Unquestionable Under new management and full of friendly folks and fun rps of any pace. The chat is back, too. 8

Thu Sep 19, 2013 7:23 am m.march What a difference a few months can make. New staff drama has exceeded my worst nightmares to the point where, for the first time in my rping life, I'm actively looking for a new forum. The forums still exist to play on so it isn't a complete disaster but I won't be there. I won't fill this with gossip and my personal opinions, but it's not a place I'd recommend to anymore or a place I'd even like to be. 4
Sun Oct 04, 2009 2:00 pm Vexar As the title entails, it is RPG Chat. Yet many years ago they took away the chat part of it. Not to mention the elitist community. It's not very user friendly, much less new user friendly. 4
