Sun Jan 01, 2017 5:32 pm Auctor-Lucan After many years or writing at House of Eros, I have nothing but the warmest of recommendations to any writers out there. Respect the rules and your fellow writers, don't try to join while underage, and you will be fine.

While House of Eros may primarily be the oasis for erotic play-by-post role-playing, it provides a wide spectrum of role-playing opportunities, ranging from fandom writing to original settings, story-driven plots to linear erotica. One-on-one threads may be the most usual, but there are also several long-term group role-plays. With a very big member base, the chance to find good writing partners is good, but it might take some time to find your way around in the community.		 10
Tue May 26, 2015 6:20 pm Invidia1988 Fantastic RP site, there is so many different categories for the different person that likes whatever. Good very strict mods that put up with alot of crap and the owner is wonderful. In a short amount of time from the rp community on tumblr where I barely had anything going, to I have so much to respond to that it overwhelms me at times. This site is wonderful their rules are very well maintained and enforced, the k-list function is awesome, and the irc chat, so many great people. I recommend this site to the adult people out there because this is an 18+ site and they're really good about catching minors so adults don't have to worry as much. Here is a good review for this site~

Tue Oct 28, 2014 4:11 am William Wolfheart I have been on the site for a good long while before getting banned a few weeks back. I honestly wish I could be able to return and chat with everyone I have come to meet and enjoy being around. My record isn't clean but I enjoy Rping and in chat I have been mostly quiet only interacting every so often. Things aren't as they used to be since I got banned and I want to apologize for my actions and everything though i know no one will probably read this or anything.

It is a great site and I really wish I could return because I have learned my lesson from being banned from there and House Elysium which is a quiet site since the Chat there is inactive. But..oh well..would love to return and keep RPing with those I have RP's with which will never be continued. I hate it all really. Bullshit because I wasn't given a chance to get better and I would get better if I was able to return.		 10

Thu Jul 20, 2017 12:01 pm heytherelittlebear Overall, I enjoyed the site. As another person stated, nothing is private but that is plainly laid out in the rules which you are able to read before you even join. I found really great role-playing partenrs and enjoyed myself while I was a member but the community was not for me. The community has a lot of members that have been banned or voluntarily left other sites and they did not like me since I am staff one one of those said sites. The admin handled the situation as well as he could, but there isn't fixing bitterness without breaking one's own rules.

Like most sites, it has its ups and downs but I can't say it's a terrible place to role-play. Everything is in the open and it was easy enough to learn even though the layout was extremely different from what I'm used to. The site is a smaller one but has a decent community of people that are accepting of newcomers.

Good site - just not a site for me.		 9
Sun Feb 23, 2014 5:35 pm Dyiashia I find with House Eros that that the people are really fun and willing to work with you. Sometimes it can take a while to find a partner or get a response to a trend you post. I unfortunately was banned for calling a friend who was under 18 by her name and got banned with her though i was 18. I am still upset about it and now looking for a better rp site. I would suggest you at least give the site a try it is a pretty good site and you don't have to rp over email if you would prefer not to. the site is pretty accommodating when it come to how you want to rp. Sometimes the mods don't pay attention but we're all human so i believe that they were busy but for the most part it is great, i do wish i was still on there. I'm sure you wont regret giving house eros a try 9

Fri Feb 22, 2013 7:48 am Loreign From what i can tell, this site is a great one to try out if you are looking for an adult roleplay one. However keep in mind that there are only two reasons why people normally write reviews or contact customer service, either because they like the site so much that they want others to join or to say how awesome it is or because they have some problem with it either personal such as being banned, being part of a site that mutually hate each other, or because it didn't fit their expectations.


Sure you may need to wad through some request threads and dig around to find exactly what you are looking for, however it is a great site to try out if you like forum RP or to just hang out in chat. The few trolls it has in the chat are ones that can be found anywhere on the internet, give it a shot and see how you like it. Don;t just reply on words of people that only post these up when they are biased.		 8
Wed Jan 18, 2017 12:53 am Curzon I've been using this sight for a number years. I like how the forum are set up, everything is forward and simple with easy text editing tools included which work great for someone like me who couldn't even edit their myspace page.

There is always the added plus that moderators are active and that you can trust that you are playing with people of age. The people are nice and there are a wide range of kinks and a fair set up for request threads. Overall an enjoyable site.		 7

There are several trolls that like making noise in the chat rooms and the moderators don't seem to care to do more than make it appear that they're doing their jobs, from what I've seen so far. 5
Wed Oct 24, 2012 4:58 pm SeekerOfWisdom House Eros is a rather pedestrian site, small and not very active compared to larger sites, limited in scope as most of the writing is heavily kink oriented and not very erotic. The site is elitist in their own mind without the quality that would make them elite. They are also restrictive in that they denigrate other sites and throw up paranoid banning of members who mention certain sites.

The main complaint I have and have experienced in conversation about this site with others is the unclear nature of their rules, public chastising when a minor violation occurs and a strange dichotomy in standards that allows pictures of exposed genitalia and apparent underage (less than 16 years old) characters in public areas while being almost obsessive about character age in stories being over 18.

Their checks on new members are abysmal as I've seen members that I know are underage not by a mere few months or a year but by several years.		 3

I mean, the word PRIVATE, you get it right? Maybe he needs to spend more time creating a workable site and less time looking to be offended by what consenting adults are sending to each other in PRIVATE?!		 1

if anyone could help me learn the site i was banned, i honestly did nothing wrong.
If the staff is like that then i feel sorry for the site and the people that actually play

Wed Oct 25, 2017 1:24 pm Saxon The Admin is a total liar and will alter the rules to suit himself. He expects people to have the same politics as him (Leftard of course) or he will harass you and make up the rules as he goes along.

He will lie and ban you in a way that it does not show on your Avatar so everyone else just thinks you have left the site.

There is just so much wrong in this place that I could write forever. I saw it all unfold on two members and I will never go back.

He also reads everyone's PM's therefore going against the very idea of Private Message.

Like all of these RP sites the Admin will then bemoan that not enough people use it and how he can't keep it all going blah blah blah

The answer is the same as always, people walk away from these sites because of the management and the stupid power games they play.

Tue Jun 06, 2017 4:58 pm Siren Call's Shame Nothing is private here, not even your Private Messages. It all gets moderated and reviewed. Like most sites, the discussion boards are empty as again, like most sites they are dominated by a very small group of trolls.

The Admin is a dick. The role play is boring as most of the people want the same thing.		 1

I ended up having my account deleted when it became obvious that staff are very selective about enforcing rules, I was doing things many others do and then all of a sudden I started getting harassed because I have broken some rule.

Really? And by rules I mean having more than one request thread, using the wrong kink list. These are things I did from day one and then a year later all of a sudden it's a problem.

Enforce the rules all the time and make them apply to everyone or just don't bother.		 1

I read the review of this site today, and joined today. I thought it was odd so many people were saying they were banned, but I thought they must be a bunch of lollis or something. HOWEVER, I was banned within a few hours and told to Skype a mod who went by Louis.Cypher. I Skyped him. He said I violated some rule and that to be unbanned I had to give him my phone number, address, and a copy of my ID. WTF?! What they are doing is banning people so they can get personal details so they can stalk you. This is an extremely dangerous in REAL LIFE place. STAY AWAY!!!!!!		 1

See, 99% of the house eros staff are from blue moon roleplay. They were originally part of that sites GM team and they got BANNED
