Dublin to Tralee

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Seraphina Alighieri on Mon Nov 14, 2005 2:26 pm

The landing and the atmosphere of the airport was too much like her layover in London to be comfortable. Every eye was still focused intently on the TV screens and muttering under their breath. She walked through Dublin Airport with her head down. To avoid her own gruesome thoughts she recited The Walrus and the Carpenter. In her right hand she clenched Gabriel's lighter and prayed for word. If he doesn't hate me.

She sat down at the gate an called Maestro. She got his machine as she knew she would.

"Maestro, I have been called into service for Florence as my family has done for centuries. I apologize, but I am off to Tralee Ireland, to fulfill my duty to city and family. I will send you the pictures of San Marcos and a full report. Grazie molto, Serphina."

After she ended the call she plunged into her book, forcing all thoughts of Gabriel, his, smile, his touch and his love form her mind. Her brown eyes turned cold. I do this for everyone.

The rain began to let up as her flight took off the weight of the Grey sky added to the weight on her shoulders. Venice was becoming a distant memory as the 737 pierced the cloud cover.

By the time she landed in Tralee the storm had ended. She collected her bag and caught an airport shuttle to the Ballygarry House Hote
