He watched Faye carefully as she spoke until she was interrupted by Tadakastu. Gabe switched his view as he spoke before backing up allowing her to enter the room and closing the door behind her.
"I can see that you were looking for Tadakastu, so please, bless us with your company."
Gabriel guided her to the chair that he had previously occupied before taking a seat upon the same couch as his other guest. He gently placed his hands upon his knees focusing his eyes upon Faye.
"Now, how can we help you?"
He snuck a glance at his watch checking the time, he still had an hour. All was well. Then turning his attention back to the mystery woman.

Faye entered the room with her hands folded together in front of her, looking down at the floor, still embarrassed that she got the wrong apartment. Faye sat down in the chair, still looking at the floor. After a few seconds she looked up, she had apparently gotten over her embarrassment; she was back to her normal cheerful self.

"Hee hee, well sorry about the intrusion. I was just bored so I figuered that I'd drop by and see what you were up to Tadakastu. Nothing wrong with that is there? I mean, no one ever seen you out side the...................office."

Faye was getting ready to say 'The Protectorate' but nobody was supposed to know anything about that or its members.

"So I was just seeing if you wanted to go out for a bite to eat or something. Hey why don't you come to, uh? Sorry, I didn't get you name. My name is Faye Kusanagi."

Faye stood up and bowed to her new host.

Tadakastu was curious. The only times he had seen Faye outside of the Protectorate was during the dinners he had been forced to go to. It was highly unusual for her to come calling around for him, even if she was bored.

"A bite to eat? Well sounds good to me, but I believe that my friend here already has plans, am I right Gabe?"

Tadakastu looked over to Faye, he didn't know her that well, but he did know that something was wrong. Well not necessarily wrong, but something was bothering her, that much was clear. I looked like he wouldn’t get around to asking Gabe for training, at least tonight. But that was probably for the best, after all, there was really no reason for Gabe to teach him. There wasn’t any need for such skills.

Gabe smiled at the offer from the new woman sitting in his living room, but he had to decline. He dropped his head and extended his hand to her.
"My name is Gabriel Faile."
Tadakastu then spoke mention he already had plans. They almost slipped his mind in Faye's wake.

His face flushed almost immediately causing him to turn away so his hair covered some of it.

"Yes, Tadakastu is right. I have a dinner tonight."
He smiled yet again thinking of Samantha as he turned back to Faye and nodded as if to confirm his point.

Faye scrunched her face; a little disappointed that Gabe couldn't come. She had kind of hoped that some one else could come, she didn't know Tadakastu that well, she was just really bored.

"Well that's a shame. Well I'll let you two finish what ever you were doing. I'll let myself out and see you downstairs Tadakastu. It was a pleasure meeting you Gabriel. Hopefully we'll see each other again soon."

With that Faye quickly left the apartment and headed down to her car. Once she climbed in she turned the radio on and leaned her head against the steering wheel and let out a half hearted laugh. This wasn't turning out to be her day.

Faye was up and gone before Tadakastu could even say anything to her.

"Well, that was a little strange. Like she said, her name is Faye, wife of Seto Kusanagi, the famous diplomat and my second in command at the, uh office."

Tadakastu winked and smiles when he said "office".

"Well, thanks for you time Gabe some time you'll have to come over to my place for dinner or let me treat you somewhere. Well I should be getting down there, Faye's got a bit of a temper on her and you've got that dinner. Well thanks again for your time and for the tea."

Tadakastu stood and extended his hand towards Gabe. He had decided against asking Gabe the question about training, at least for the time being that is.

Gabriel smiles and stands to take Tadakastu's hand and shook it gently. He escorted him to the door as he spoke about Faye and dinner sometime.
"Sounds wonderful Tadakastu, but I must let you know right away that I'm a vegitarian. But thank you for the conversation. It's nice to spend sometime with people. I'm not exactly a people person."
He said smiling before Tadakastu thanked him again and left to meet Faye. He smiled as he shut the door.

Gabe then made his way into the washroom where he showered, shaved, brushed his teeth and stiled his hair before throwing on a black suit and a purple dress shirt with the collar open.

Just as he finished the door bell rang. A huge smile crossed his lips. That was Samantha.

The young officer was probably asleep in the shower, when he awoke with a start, drowning. He gasped and pull out of the water, a stupid thing to do in a military secured barracks. Wiping his face, he got out of the showers and moved slowly towards his quarters, dumping himself half naked on the bed, wrapped only with a towel.

A scientist came charging towards him. "Captain Dennis! The JAF has begun the assault move, engines and aircrafts, battleships are preparing to set off. Several of their vanguard fleets have been detected to be moving or patrolling." Dennis frowned.
"How quickly do you think they'll make it here?"
The officer shook his head. "Within a week, perhaps, and with their technology, several days before they reach Martian airspace."

Dennis sighed. "Then there's no time for delay, some pilots cannot afford training. Send squads to inform the following people, Gabriel Faile, Tadakatsu, protectorate officer. Kathy Takashiru, and Matt Night if you can reach him in time. GO!"

Four armoured vans swiftly roared off into the distance, with soldiers hidden in the back, waiting to take the units by force if they resisted. The four chosen would pilot mobile suits, and be one flicker of hope for defense.

"James M. Maddingly? Hmm...six counts of breaking and entering. Fifty known charges of con, a personal loss of five hundred to five thousand credits totaling in over one million credits."
The judge had read his dossier. Not good. At least the law system hadn't changed significantly since the earlier twentieth century.

This was James' hearing. After this he would be free to roam the Washington area for up to three weeks before his trail. Hopefully it would be soon so he could call an Appeal. That would give him time to get out of the area and perhaps to the Jupiter colonies.

"Yes your honor."
He replied quietly, still with dignity. Eye contact. That was key. He could sell oxygen tanks to a company that manufactured them. He could talk his way out of a sentance.
"Does the defendant have anything to say on his behalf?"
James looked around the large empty room. It was just the judge and himself. He had chosen no defense. A smile stole his lips.

Twenty minutes later James was making his way out of the court room rubbing his wrists. He needed to figure out where to go to lay off before the judge realized what happened. The space port. An obvious choice.

The entire underground facility blared with red lights flashing. "Situation Disaster...Situation Disaster...This is a Code Red Circumstance overiding all other orders! Prepare to rearm all mobile and usable military defense equipment!" The same was going on in all the other defense stations, very noisily, and very secretive.
Dennis rapidly read through reports, "Hurry to get Gabriel Faile and Matt Night here!" He ordered.
Soldiers hurried off to seize the newly asked person, while Dennis quickly ran to the shuttle station.

"Heavy movement detected in Jupiter Sections, I repeat, Heavy Movement detected in Jupiter Sections. GG.4 Infantry defenses please stall yourselves in bunker areas four, five...ten, eleven, twenty, and forty two..."
"Anti Air weapons please liege yourselves in respective sectors five, eight, forty seven, fifty one, eighty two, eighty nine, and two hundred sixty five..."
"Mobile military units and infantry units arm yourselves with Gatling Guns, Beam Weapons, Semi-Nuclear weaponary..."
"Artillery Command report to Gaia Distrinct and Pewter Distrinct!"

Announcements rang through the facility, and many names were read and called, the whole operation was beginning to get very tense and extremely pressurizing.
"Lieutenant Michel to the Portbay!"
"Commander Fangist, report to main command at once!"
"Mr.Donovon to the science progress lab please..."
"Captain Ritchoven to shuttle port now, I repeat, now!"
"Private Denofree promoted to Sergeant, lead the 4th Squad..."

Dennis V.Ritchoven ran towards a shuttle where three armed soldiers escorted him inside.
"Start engines! Takeoff within 4 seconds, go go go!" The shuttle charged up, and blasted off towards the Moon Base area in a panicky rush.

After twenty minutes of wonderful conversation Gabe and Samantha were seated at the restaurant with drinks and menu's. It was good to finally get out of the house and spend some time with another adult. Instead of just with his students.

He was enjoying a nice glass of red wine, one that Samantha had picked out yet again when a waitress walked up to them with a smile on her face.

"What can I get you two tonight?"
Gabe looked over to Samantha and she grinned. What a beautiful smile. Her hair ran down her neck and ran over her shoulder. Her royal blue dress was a stunning piece, accented by her personal beauty.
"I'll have the Salmon with a side ceaser."
The woman smiled and then turned to me.
"I'll have the broccoli bowtie with garden please."
Gabriel replied smiling as he looked over at Samantha. The waitress took the menu's and walked away toward the kitchen.

The dinner conversation began and they were both kept laughing. He was having such a great time with her until it was interrupted. A soldier in full uniform came walking up to him from the door and stopped at attention beside the table. Gabriel looked up at him confused.

"Friend of yours?"
Samantha asked giggling. Gabriel shook his head no. The soldier then began to speak.
"Sir. Gabriel Faile's presence has been requested at the nearest military base. Come down through the chain of command. Sir."
Gabriel looked around. Everyone in the room was now starring at him. He didn't know what to say.
"Uh...I think you have the wrong person."
"Sir. Are you not Gabriel Faile? The teacher and ninja? Sir."
"I am."
"Sir. No sir I do not have the wrong person. I am instructed to bring you to the base by whatever means necessary. Sir."
Gabriel looked at Samantha. She dropped her head and looked back up at him before nodding.
"But you owe me a date."
He nodded and rose picking up his jacket. He dropped 100 dollars on the table and kissed her on the cheek.
"You're the best."
He followed the solider out as he knew that she was blushing.

Dennis disembarked at the Moon Base station, while the soldiers hurried to the emergency booths.
"Captain Dennis! Gabriel Faile has been attained, please report!"
The captain gritted his teeth, "No time! Get him on a shuttle to the Earth Facilities, give him a 24 Hour training and briefing, and WHATEVER MEANS NEEDED, GET HIM ON THE BGM-054!"
He roared out commands and dashed to the emergency station and hangar. "Sir, BGM-054, "Adversary" is still 89% Complete!" Dennis nodded quickly, "Take that time needed to train it's pilot, Gabriel, to finish up the MS."

Another soldier ran up. "Your Mobile Suit is only 85% Complete sir!", Dennis shook his head. "What does it lack?", The soldier gulped, aware of the military squad captain's bad temper when a task was not finished.

"Sir! The Beam N.U.K.E Rifle is only 55% Charged!"
"Melee Combat arms?"
"The Beam Double-Spear is complete sir, but it may malfun-"
"Enough! The armour?"
"Fully charged."
"Takeoff and Power?"
"Fully Completed Wings and Jet Exhaust, capability for 48 Hours."
"And now?"
"You can only combat for 4 Hours sir, keep that in mind."
"Extra Info?"
"When you turn on the "Angel"'s Special 4-Wing Private Combatiers, remember it draws your main core energy!"
"The power armour?"
"When you turn it on, it only lasts 5 seconds, but is strong enough to deflect a nuclear blast."

Dennis nodded and ran towards the mobile suit unit, "Don't let me down you oversized tank!" He shouted at the unit, then grabbed the rope, drawing himself into the cockpit and leaping inside.
"Sir! Enemies don't regconise this MS-Class yet, so keep confined!"
"Meaning?"
The Mobile suit was covered by four sides of a shuttle protector.
"Keep in this till you spot enemy signals!"

Dennis nodded.
"IGX-P4 Shuttle containing confined MS Class unit, taking off!"
Button panels flared as the shuttle roared towards the Martian Colonies, if they could make it in time....

Alarms began sounding all over the base. Soldiers, technicians and everyone else was running all over the place and a single message was being played over and over on the broadcast system.

"All personal report to battle stations!"

Kathy was in the middle of a shower when the alert had gone off; currently she was half drying off and half getting dressed. After a few minuets she was ready and bolted out the door towards the command center. Inside was a state of panic. Lights and alarms were going off communications screens were open and people were yelling back and forth, On the main screen Kathy could see an image of Mars and a massive group of what appeared to be ships off in the distance.

"What the hell is going on here?"

"Ma'am, there's a large fleet moving into our sensor range. All the ships have the markings of the Jupiter colonies on them. Apparently the rumors of them building an assault force were true!"

"Shit. I want all available pilots ready to move out, call in all the reserves and activate all defensive satellites. NOW!"

Before Gabe could even think he was put on a shuttle to Tokyo. He tried to question it, but they wouldn't have any of that. On the shuttle it was only Captain Timmins and himself. They sat across from each other until take off.

When they were in the air Captain Timmins removed his seat belt and stood up. He looked over at Gabriel and placed his brief case on a table near the left side of the craft and pulled open a cabinet with a screen inside of it.

"Now Mr. Faile, you have been selected for an experimental military program. It has now been put into full swing. You see Gabriel, the JAF just launched an attack upon the Martian Colonies."
He tapped the screen and a Mobile Suit came up. The words BGM-054 Adversary were printed above it.
"Mr. Faile, this is the Adversary. The mobile suit you will be piloting into the battle zone. You're main mission is to protect the Mars colonies, but fall back if necessary. Earth is your main concern. If run the risk of being compromised, you are to fall back to Earth and defend it's airspace at all costs."
Gabriel nodded. He never once questioned why he was picked. It didn't matter. He loved this planet and he would defend it to the end.
"Now, the problem is, is that these are very difficult machines to pilot. You will be put through a twenty four hour training program. I warn you now that it will be one of the most rigorous events of you life. The second problem is that your mobile suit is only eighty-nine percent complete. The engineers on the BGM-054 are doing the best to have it fully operational by the end of the training period. Should it not be active, you will still pilot it into battle and make use of the systems it does have."
Gabriel nodded slowly. This was a big step, but he was up to it. He told Tadakastu back in his apartment that if he had to defend himself he would. That included his home. He loved this planet more than life itself and apparently it was time to show that.
"Any questions?"
"Just one, what equipment do I have to play with?"
Captain Timmins dropped his head and smiled at Gabriel's zeal. He passed him a dress uniform and a flight suit.
"Put on the dress uniform and then we'll talk systems. Might as well start the briefing."

It was a small pizzeria, the place didn't even have a name but the food was amazing. Tadakastu and Faye sat in a both near the front of the place three pizza pan between them, two empty and one half gone.

"Wow, this is some amazing food. Seto would never even dream of being caught in a place like this."

Tadakastu smiled. He wasn't surprised at that, most of the delegates enjoyed eating at fancy places, and this was a place he had found completely by accident, but had kept coming back to over the last few years.

"What I'm still curious about is why you came to drag me out here. This is the first time that something like this has ever happened. Usually once I'm home, the only person I talk to is Gabe, and that's still a rare occasion."

"Well to be honest, I was supposed to spend the day with Seto, but he had to run off to some meeting or something on Mars last night while I was asleep, I just needed something to do."

Faye looked up, expecting Tadakastu to be sad or angry that he had been a last resort of entertainment for her. Instead he was smiling.

"Well I can honestly say that I didn't see that answer coming from........what's going on here?"

Several men dressed in black suits and sunglasses had just surrounded the both. Tadakastu glanced around, he had his side arm with him and from the look on Faye's face, she had hers a well, but there was no way the two of them could take all of these guys, at least not in their current position.

"Tadakastu Tachibana, we've been ordered to bring you back with us."

"That's nice. Where are we going and why are we going there?"

Neither he nor Faye moved, but they were thinking the same thing. If anyone made a wrong move, dive trying to take one or two out at the knees and scramble for the street where they'd have a much better chance of winning.

"What do you mean he's on Mars? He's not supposed to be there!"

Kathy was screaming into a view screen, Jee4ves was on the other line.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but Seto left last night. He left a message stating that he'd be returning in a few days after the emergency meetings were over. That's all I know, I'm sorry that I can't be more........hold on once second."

Jeeves switched over for a few seconds, listening to the message that had just come in from Seto, then switched back to the line with Kathy.

"Apparently Mr. Kusanagi has just left Mars and in currently enroute back to Earth, so you see there is nothing to worry about."

Kathy slammed a fist on the control council and cut the transmission. Seto was on his way back safely, but what if he hadn't made it? There was still a chance that he wouldn't

After 24 hours of the most intense training Gabriel had ever received he was about ready to collapse. Captain Timmins and a few others officers had given him all the information he would need to pilot the Mobile Suit Adversary. He still had not seen it.

He was catching up on his meals in the empty mess hall when Captain Timmins approached him. He took the seat across from Gabe. Gabriel heaved a sigh. He was ready to sleep.

"Captain, can I sleep now?"
Timmins smiled weakly at the question. No. Before he even answered. Gabe nodded to his reaction.
"You're to be loaded upon a shuttle and launched to Mars. You can sleep on the way. But we have to leave now. Mars is already under attack."
Gabriel nodded and dropped his head as he pushed his meal aside. He followed Timmins to the shuttle.

There was a large metal pyramid shaped object being loaded upon the back of the tiny shuttle. Gabe assumed it was the Adversary. Captain Timmins stopped at the stairway turned and saluted Gabe. Gabe saluted back. Time to load up.

He was only in the air for thirty minutes and he was already in his black flight suit with a yellow line down the middle looking at himself in the mirror.

"Welcome to the front line Gabriel."
This was no time to sleep.

Tadakastu wasn't sure exactly what happened but when he woke up he was somewhere he had never seen before, and his head hurt like hell.

"I must apologize for the manner of your arrival, but time was of the essence."

The voice came from deep in the shadows of the room.

"What the hell is going on here?"

"Currently Mars is under attack by the Jupiter colonies. We've had knowledge that they were planning this for a number of years. That is why we have been secretly building new Gundams. And you, Tadakastu Tachibana, will be piloting one, The Clone."

Suddenly the room lit up. There was a single man sitting at an empty desk. Behind him was a Mobile Suit, what most likely was the Clone.

"So you're giving me a Gundam are you? When do we begin training?"

The man at the desk smiled.

"Right now."

The screen was flashing red again. He had died, for about the thirtieth time. Tadakastu sat in the cockpit of Clone, sweat dripping off his face and breathing hard. His eyes were wide and started at the flashing red screen.

"You need to stop thinking so much! Let your instincts take over when you get into trouble like that!"

Dr. Thrall was the one yelling at him from the walkway.

"Well you've gotten better, a lot better. When you first started you couldn't even make the thing walk. Now you're taking out about half of the mobile suits on the medium level. But you still need to become better. The fate of Earth rests on the shoulders of you and Adversary! Mars has Sting, Angel and Unity. Angel is already fighting and Sting and Unity should be joining them shortly. Oh and your final two weapons are done. The beam volge and the shoulder cannon. Dr. Barton arrived with them shortly before you arrived here but he needed to make a few more modifications before they were ready to be equipped. Try using them in the next run through. We've added them to the simulations. You now have all four of your weapons. The gun, shoulder cannon, beam volge and the heat ax. Starting next simulation in three.....two....now."

The screens in Clone went black for a few seconds then the simulation data appeared once again. Moving was a little bit herded with the added weight of the shoulder cannon but Tadakastu quickly got the hang of it. He could get Clone to move exactly how he wanted it to move now. He just wasn't ready for combat yet, he didn't have enough training. Luckily he had plenty of time before the JAF broke through Mars' defenses, if they did.
