Everyone on the ground saw the flash of light from the slash; Akemi turned to Dr. Lanyon.
Akemi - This can't go on any longer! You have to deploy our forces to support Lieutenant Teir.
Lanyan closed his eyes, turning his head away. He took in this moment to think. All was quiet, other than a faint sizzling sound in the distance, that he could only assume was from the two Gundams waging war in the heavens.
Dr. Lanyan - From what we've seen from this distance, a beam rifle attack is near useless, though...the enemy is preoccupied, but I believe we will need something more...
Reaching into his pocket, Lanyan removed a small comm. link device.
Lanyan - This is Lanyan, is the Gun-Ace equipped with the H-O Rifle ready?
Mariko - They're going to use the High-Output Beam rifle?
Lanyan smiled slightly.
Lanyan - Yes, when you left it was still in it's early testing stages, but...now, well obviously that's a different story, isn't it?
Lanyan - Have the Gun-Ace target the enemy Deathscythe X. Disable it if possible. That Gundam was supposed to be ours in the first place.
Akemi turned to look behind her, as she heard the familiar sound of hangar doors opening. A Gun-Ace, painted in the standard mass-production dark grey and white color, walked out carrying the large beam rifle for sniper operations. She thought that the Gun-Ace looked better in Ethan's custom blue color, but realized if all of the Gun-Ace suits were painted in that scheme it wouldn't keep Ethan's as special.
The Gun-Ace pilot shouldered the rifle, aiming up towards the sky. The visor on the head flipped down over the main camera, and synced up with the large targeting scope mounted on the rifle. This allowed the pilot to zoom in directly on the battle. He could see that both the Deathscythe X and Epsilon were damaged, and the Epsilon was now in risk of being cut through with the DSX's main weapon. Once he was sure of his aim, he pulled the trigger, and a thin, but bright discharge expelled from the long barrel of the High-Output Beam Rifle.

The Epsilon's systems were beginning to fail. It seemed that since this was still a prototype unit, that there were still many bugs to work out. Suddenly, the controls began to spark, and a section of one of the panels burst open and buried itself into Ethan's side. Ethan winced in pain, as he tried and tried to pull himself off of the dual-twin beam scythe's blades. He knew he didn't have long before it would cut through the shoulder, and then had a chance to possibly cut into the cockpit, but he didn't have to worry long.
The bright flash shot through the DSX's elbow joint. Ethan smirked, realizing quickly that only thing that could produce a shot like that was Einhardt's High-Output Beam Rifle. Ethan managed to get his left arm to reach up and pull the scythe out and drop it to the ground. With movement systems, and flight systems cutting in and out, he was glad to see that the DSX couldn't put up much more of a fight either.
Ethan - Looks like you lost, Anubis...
The Anubis backed itself away from the Epsilon.
Anubis - It's not over brother!
The dark red eyes flashed, before the Epsilon took off towards the sky. Ethan let out a sigh of relief, then again winced in pain. Ethan brought his hand to his left side, blood stained his Advent Emblem uniform. Cursing under his breath, he tried to remove the shard of metal, but it was buried too deep, and because of the mental exhaustion from being around Anubis, he was too weak. Turning his head to the left monitor, he saw the ship that Anubis was targeting. Carefully, he maneuvered the controls of the Epsilon, fearing that any second all systems would fail and he would plummet to the earth this time.
Ethan flipped a switch opening up a comm. link with the ship as he approached. This time, instead of a simple audio comm. signal, it was a full visual one. Ethan's blue hair was sticking to his forehead because of sweat. He breathed heavily, but his sunglasses hid the weakness in his cold green eyes.
Ethan - This is Lieutenant Ethan Teir, my mobile suit has been badly damage, since your en route to Einhardt anyway, I ask for permission to land on your ship for transport.
