First Aid Kit- For minor Scrapes, Cuts and the like.
Hand Crank Torch- An LED torch that is powered via hand crank. One minute of cranking will give around an hour of battery life. Power storage plateaus to two hours so any further cranking is useless.
Radio- To keep in contact with Haven and other Scavs while out on Missions. Can be used with a hands free kit. Reception isn't great and it's reccomended high ground is sought when trying to reach Haven.
Binoculars/ Monocular Scavenged from a outward bound shop in Cromwell. The Binos and Mono's are small and were designed to be as portable as possible.
Distraction device- A small amount of explosive contained in whatever random rubbish Monroe could get his hands on. The idea is to light the fuse and throw the device. It will them make a loud bang but cause little actual harm. The idea is to lead zombies away.
Head Mounted Camera-Developed by Gary Fowler and Professor Rishi Sharma. Lipstick Camera might be a slight Misnomer as the Camera unit is more similar to tube a toilet roll stuck to the side of a bicycle helmet. Cables run from the camera unit down to the memory unit which can store a few hours of video. There is a small control panel that can be used to start and stop the recording. There is no screen so the Scav’s cannot review what they recorded until they get back to Haven. Primarily the Cameras are used by Scav’s to record information about Zombie behaviour.
Night Vision Goggles-Developed by Gary Fowler and Professor Rishi Sharma. The NVGs are a true marvel of slapdash engineering, by cannibalising cameras. While they are capable of producing a grainy green image they are far from perfect. Most people find the image produced disorientating as it feels they are standing a few in front of where they actually are additionally field of view is greatly reduced. The image produced is good but some detail is lost and the zoom function is digital only so quality degrades as zoom intensity increases. It is suggested that when a Scav is using the NVGs they have a partner due to the disorientation experienced.
The NVGs are mounted to a bicycle helmet and are quite heavy. They do not have a record function.
Map- Of the area around Haven.
What your character uses as a Melee weapon is up to you. The only firearms or ballistic other ranged weapons you are permitted to use are on this list.
Sawn off Shotgun- A weapon made specifically for Scavs by Monroe. They are single barrelled Shotguns he deemed too useless for use in defence of the town. It has been sawn off for greater mobility. It has a very wide spread and is only good for enemies nearby. Many Scavs have taken to reffering to them as "Harrys” after Hari Kari a Japanese ritualistic form of suicide. This is because they believe the sawn off's only use is when a Scav get’s cornered and needs to take their only life rather than be overwhelmed.
Compound bow- A bow that is able to exert greater force due to its intricate design. This means any user can exert enough force to pierce a Zombie’s skull. Actually hitting one is a different story though and requires a lot of practice. Monroe however has tunred his mind the creating special types of Ammo for it. So far he’s come up with.
Distraction arrow- This shot is incapable of killing a Zomb because the head is packed with a tiny amount of explosive and a fuse. Experiments with Silver fulminate proved useless given the reactivity of the substance.
