Evolutionary Directive (ED) Information

a part of “Evolutionary”, a fictional universe by iamsheena.

As the earth progresses, so does its inhabitants. Evolution is unavoidable, but that doesn't mean humans have to accept the change, especially when it means that their safety might be compromised.

Evolutionary Directive (ED) Information

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Mr. Baneling Squishy on Tue Sep 17, 2013 3:42 pm

The Evolutionary Directive was established 21 years ago after the discovery of special genetic mutations that resulted in amazing abilities. The group originally was supposed to discover the origins of a strange disease that seemed to affect random people (this "disease" had incredibly horrific and painful events, and actually resulted in people who failed to fully develop the mutations that give others their abilities).

When they discovered this, the group's focus was changed, and officially renamed "The Evolutionary Directive" (This is the actual moment where it was considered to be established). However, to do proper research, threat assessment, and in the interest of National Security, this organization was made incredibly top secret. This branch quickly became multi-national as well, having established branches in England, America, Mexico, China, Japan, Spain, Portugal, Russia, and Australia, as well as several African countries.

The ED has a simple rule: Recruit, Capture, or if necessary kill any mutant discovered. No exclusions. No exceptions.

Additionally, they must deal with anyone who is at risk of revealing the ED with whatever means they see fit. While this government agency was heavily monitored at first, after a mutant nearly killed several members of congress, they were given a lot more leeway and freedoms. Not to mention a bigger budget.

On a side note, their research has led to curing several diseases, to the expense of many mutants that suffered and died for them.

The ED has several higher ups. Its leader seems to only be known as "The Director", and very few know his identity. Single digit few. It maintains facilities across the world, such as the Oil Rig Facility off the coast of Africa. The ED have no safeguards, no restrictions, and are ruthless. They will not let any mutant go without a fight.

Question: are mutants who are captured held at the nearest facility, or is there one facility that acts a a mutant prison and holds all captured mutants? If the latter, where would it be?

Also, thanks!

They are brought to specially made containment facilities. Sometimes there are mutliple mutants in one facility, sometimes one mutant per facility. However, it is said that after Tyler broke out six years ago, they bring the most powerful and most dangerous mutants that they know of to some sort of main Facility. The location of this facility is a massive submarine that moves around the Atlantic Ocean made very similar to a stealth plane to make it impossible/near impossible to detect. It has its own underwater farm and food supply, and has defense systems. It docks twice per year in a secret remote location.

Often facilities are disguised as mundane or abandoned buildings, such as an Oil Rig or Office Building.
