Greek Monsters and Such

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Le Cruise on Tue Aug 07, 2007 7:55 pm

Hail Roleplayers, this roleplay is basicly in the time of the greeks, with chimeras, minotaurs, heros, villians, gods, goddessess, etc. The goal of this roleplay is to have X amount of monsters, hopefully PCs, with X amount of heros/heroins, also, hopefully PCs. I'm thinking, that the monsters can be anything in the lore, or, an original creation, the heros can be the same. If anyone wishes to join, they may do so whenever they want.

Rules:
1) no killing/god-modding of other characters unless given permission by that player
2) no graphic sex, obviously, violence is fine

Other than that, just post a profile, and start roleplaying!!!

ooc: Okay I'll bite. I need more experience in Greece anyways :P. I'll post my character Bio and see where it goes. Hope to hear something soon.

Name: Evanthia
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Race: Harpy (Am taking liberties with race, instead of half human half bird hybrid, she will be human with the ability to change to hybrid. I feel this will keep her safe from hunters :P)
Eyes: Grey
Hair: Blonde - Long but well kempt
Clothes: Chiton (long tunic belted at the waist) and Leather Thongs
Gods/Goddesses: Zeus (her creator)
Personality: Cool exterior, but is vindictive, persuasive and manipulative.
Physical: Average build, natural curves, overall a soft appearance. Has tattoo around right eye of a bird with a long tail.
Weapons: Has a dagger strapped to her thigh, and has the ability to manipulate the wind.
Accessories: n/a
Extra Info: Eve is a bringer of both life and death. Early in her life she was at the whim of Zeus and often spared or tormented men at his demand. She has since departed from beneath his hand. She has a long fuse and though she often seeks Zeus' guidance, she more often relies on herself to do or get what she wants.

Name: Pantaleon

Age: 28

Gender: male

Race: Human/Titan

Hair: Brown, wavey and shoulder length

Eyes: Brown

Clothes: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/564 ... _scale%3A5

God(s)/goddesses that they pray to/worship: N/A

Personality: A battle hardened asshole really, cynical to a point, and perhaps slightly crazy when it comes to fighting. The crazy part, is mostly fabricated as most think he's crazy because he loves it when the odds are stacked against him. That's just his Spartan bloodline. He's been in many battles, lost many brothers, but each time, made it out, stronger.

Weapons: His hoplite spear, and short sword, along with his increased speed and strength, due to his Titan lineage.

Accessories: Sheild and his helmet, and Spartan Crimson

Extra info: Pantaleon is the son of a Titan, Hyperion. His strength, speed and resilience are greatly increased. Because of this, he is like an improved Spartan, because he shows no signs of wearyness in battle, and if he does, the foe he is against, must be powerful. He was in the Spartan army for about 12 years, but after about 4 of which, went on with no battles or war, he resigned as a hero of Sparta. He left, heading north, hopefully to one day seek a true challenge, he has yet to find one. Because he wishes to have glory, by Spartan law, he travels the land, taking hunting jobs, or Mercenary jobs, seeking challenges, by man or beast

Name: Acronos Deyvani
Age: 42
Gender: male
Race (human, monster, etc): Minotaur
Hair: brown, thick
Eyes: deep green
Clothes (if any): Baggy cream coloured trousers, armour plate on chest and back
God(s)/goddesess that they pray to/worship: Zeus

Acronos took a boat and ended up in Egypt....no-one knows what happened there but he returned with his treasured Golden Scarab Necklace, an axe and a large scar. Now he lives in hiding, travelling across the land and performing missions of 'justice'.

Acronos gazed at the Parthenon. He basked in it's glory, upon this beautiful Athenian night; Perikles had truly built something that was a wonder of the world, and that Zeus himself would smile upon. Of course, Acronos had to make sure those inside the building were worthy of him.

He strode to the building with purpose, and entered it, holding his axe by his side. No matter that only the stars glittered outside, there was a great light in the temple. Candles burned furiously as a priest stood over the altar. Acronos's brow furrowed, then his confusion turned to rage. A minotaur was upon the altar, with his chest torn upon.

"Acronos. You came just in time." The priest said calmy. He stood, revealing a silver scarab necklace.

"I did. The proof is here, that you are a cruel murderer." Acronos tried to reply in the same manner, yet rage boiled within him.

"A murderer, am I? No, I am a judge. I bring justice. Just like the King did to your bastard of a father." The priest smirked and laughed coldy.

"Will you still believe that in the afterlife, I wonder?" Asked Acronos.

As the priest prayed to the gods, Acronos threw the axe, and it spun in the air until it reached the Priest's legs. The axe smoothly cut through them, and the priest's body collapsed to the floor. A pool of blood lay beneath him.

"You're sick...You're a heartless killer. I know where...you'll be going." The priest spat.

"As long as I'm not sharing it with you, I'll be fine." Acronos retorted, then ripped the necklace off the Priest. Then he thrusted the points into the priests neck. Blood sprayed onto Acronos, and he did not flinch. The priest continued to cough blood, while Acronos bowed to the corpse of the minotaur, then left, leaving this gruesome scene behind him.

She swirled her pale hand in the streem and watched as it's coarse seemed unaffected by her action. Her green eyes were in a haze of almost sadness, a deep sadness that was hidden by a bright and airy disposition.

"Venilia." She heard her name and looked up, her red hair caught a breeze that sent the tentrals flying like flames from her head. It was Agalia, and she had gathered the other Dryads around her.

Venilia knew what was to be expected of her. She pulled herself up and walked to the other nymphs and held hands in a circle. When Venilia joined them, a satyr jumped out of the trees with his pipe.

"Hello ladies." He said shyly, and began to play.

"Clonia, I feel no love in my heart anymore to be true to the forest today." Venilia said sadly.

"Well, you must have some love for the forrest at least, for it is still full of love and life."

Clonia was right, the Dryad's dance had lavished the trees with a part of every spirit inside them, the part that loved the forrest.

The satyr played the last trilling note on his pipe, "Thank you ladies, I shall see you again when you need me." And dissapeared.

Venilia sat back down by the water's edge. Clonia looked at her friend and gathered her red hair together.

"Let me braid your hair Venilia." Clonia was good at braids, so Venilia smiled and nodded watching the water with patience.

"There!" Clonia finnished the braid, "It just needs something.... ah-Hah!" Clonia placed something behind Venilia's ear, and Venilia gazed down at her reflection, a purple orchid framed her visage.

"Would you like me to braid your hair?" Venilia asked out of curticy.

Just as Clonia was about to speek, there was a sound in the forrest. Humans were close by.

The Dryads quickly gathered themselves from their play. Venilia darted to the nearest grove of trees, and instantly transformed. And while the intruders might fail to notice the oak at a first glance, a closer look could see the trunk held a woman's curve, and on one of the branches, a purple orchid blossomed.

Name: Arennor
Age: 25
Gender: male
Race (human, monster, etc): Half-God
Hair: Short Spikey Red hair
Eyes: deep blue
Clothes (if any): black pants and leather armor, wears a big white scholar robe, until he goes into battle
God(s)/goddesess that they pray to/worship: none
Personality: Calm, but gets irritated at certain things
Physical description: semi-muscular build, three scars across his arm
Weapons (if any): longsword on his back, a dagger
Accessories (if any): A bag full of tracking stones
Extra info: Arennor was the is the sun of two half-gods, he doesn't know which. When he was young they were killed during a war. Arnnor was adopted a "kind" old man, who later sold him to Hades to live a little longer. Arennor lived with Hades being a slave along with other sold children. He tried to escape with another girl when he was 8, but she got killed by Cerebus and he got the nasty scar. He would have been eaten to if Persaphone hadn't come back, she forced her husband to stop and return Arennor to the surface, where he again got adopted , this time by a travailing troop. He went with them to Asia and India, there learning how to wield a sword and getting his dagger and stones that can track anyone as long as he has a strand of their hair, or something they own. He came back and now hunts gods, who he has a grudge against and there horrible creations the mythical beasts. Though he dose make sure he's not killing kind ones, because he could never forget the kindness Persaphone showed him.
Note: Being a half god does not make him immortal, he can be killed, though he can take more then humans, and heals faster, plus he'll live longer, and he has an ability to move at high speeds in short bursts which he uses as an attack, otherwise he's the same as a human.

Name: Falcor the Red
Age: 24
Gender: male
Race: Red Half-Dragon
God/Goddess: Ares and Zeus
Weight: 250 lbs
Height: 6'3''
Eye color: Blue
Tail Length: 5' 6''
Wing Span: 12 feet.
Wing Height: When folded, his wings are automatically held upwards in the air, a foot above his head, as they are 6' long when folded.
Appearance: This being appears very draconic in nature, having red scales, a muzzle, and claws. Aswell, he has digitigraded legs, which make him almost silent when walking. He has a powerful tail, but like a dragon, and his mouth is full of serrated teeth. Hornlets run along his muzzle, splitting in the middle, to line his eye ridges. His clawed hands, and toes look fearsome, and are quite sharp. From the underside of his neck, to the underside of his tail, he has large overlapping plates, which are relatively soft, but harder than human skin.
Clothes: He wears a red shirt, with red shorts, something his made himself for comfort, having always a hard time with a kilt, which is normal for the time, due to having a tail. He wears nothing on his feet. clasped about his shoulders, is a red cloak, with the Spartan symbol, the Lambda, on it.
Armor: He wears a bronze muscle cuirass, with the Lambda on the front, with two dragons rearing for battle facing eachother on the chest part. Leather strips hang from the waist part of the armor, to provide added protection to his legs. Unlike most spartans, he doesn't have a shield, he's usually up on a hill, using his 'powers'.
Weapons: He has a Falcata, made from a rare metal, steel. It is masterfully created, which he himself created, using his firey breath. http://swordforum.com/swd/dt/dt-falcata-largesand.jpg . He has one other type of weapon, he is a warlock, due to his dragon ancestors dealing with demons, and thus can wield demonic magic, quite the asset to the Spartan armies. His warlock abillities are mainly limited to Offensive purposes, and he isn't as skilled as he could be just yet, his power grows as time goes.
History: Having been born in sparta, from a dragon egg, and a spartan father, his hatching day had been thought of as a gift from the gods, of course, why wouldn't a spartan like a fire breathing menace on their side? He was given the title 'the Red' for his blood red scales. Trained to be a warrior since the age of six, his warlock powers showed themselves at a young age, this had been shunned for awhile, until the Spartans finally agreed that it could be a gift from the gods aswell, and their arrogance would make the gods displeased with them. And so, they continued Falcor's training, telling him to steal without be caught, to fight, and not run from any fight. Currently, as there are no wars going on against sparta, he is free to roam the lands as he pleases. One thing that was a disadvantage was that, he could never truly fly, but instead glide.

In the town where Acronos had slaughter the priest. A large black wooden ship docked at the local port. All the crew where wearing long grey robes and wearing wooden masks that resembles Martez’s mask. A gangway slid off the side of the ship. Martez and one of the cloaked crew stepped off the ship. The walked into tow. Martez held his right hand open to reveal a ruff black rock. A red light engulfed his the stone.

Martez: I feel a monster is nearby.

Robed person: The streets look calm, I don’t see any trace of a monster on any level.

Martez: Gaijh, my dear Gaijh, I feel it, the stone says one was hear.

Gaijh: I see, where could have it gone. (Martez and Gaijh looked around. Martez spotted a forest at the edge of town.)

Martez: If I was a monster in this city, a thicket of wood would be the best place to hide. Lets have a look.

Gaijh: Alright. (The two marched thought town and into the woods. They came upon a path and fallowed it. At times small animals would approach them and Martez would rase his left hand and a purple gas would surround his hands and the animals fled at its sight. The came to a river.)

Martez: This land lacks darkness. There is so much life here, that it is almost overflowing. Not a lot like home. This random chase has proven unfruitful.
(Gaijh’s stare was fixed on a oak tree with a purple flower.)
Gaijh:..........
Martez: Gaijh? What has your mind?
Gaijh:..oh..sorry my lord. Its this tree.
Martez: It is a tree. Nothing more.
Gaijh: No..there is something wrong with this one.
Martez: Is this the time to be pointing out trees.
Gaijh: If it where a monster you would stop in the middle of anything and comment about it.
Martez:..True, so I guess I can keep an open mind.
Gajih: When I had a normal life, my family was gardeners to the kings palace.
Martez: Alright
Gajih: Juging by the look of the leaves and wood, It appears to be an oak tree.
Martez: Alright.
Gajih: But, Oak trees are bulky and are not thin and wavelike the trunk of this tree.
Martez: Is the tree undernourished?
Gaijh: No.. And this tree (pointing to the flower.) Has somehow grown a flower off an orchid.
Martez: That dose sound out of the norm. (Rases his left hand. The stone shinnied green. Then the light engulfed his hand.) You are right, This area has unnatural life force. I think it is time we left.
Gaijh: Why? do you detect danger?
Martez:...I feel a large amount of life force coming out of something nearby, that something might not look to well upon us.

Acronos looked grimly upon Martez and Gajh. He did not wish to kill the men, yet if he was seen...Acronos had to move quickly. He had a new mission. Nymphs.

Scuttling through the trees as quickly yet quietly as he could, he could smell something. An extraordinary oak, it's scent was intoxicating. Maybe not for the normal human, but for Minotaur...certainly. He pinpointed the oak straight away, and smiled: he noticed the curve, and his thoughts were confirmed. The tree's a Nymph... He leapt off the tree, ready for attack....

(Martez and Gaijh Saw the Acronos leaped out, facing the tree.)
Martez: This is what I am talking about. You beast! What is the meaning of this intrusion? (He crossed his hands behind his back. An odd symbol manifested on his left palm.)

Gaijh: What is that beast?

Arennor stood back watching the scene unfold. It was apparent the man had magic, that made him a myth hunter. Otherwise nothing out of the ordinary for him. He unsheathed his sword and walked forward. "How about you both take this fight somewhere else, it would be very disturbing if you unsettled the peace of this forest."

This fool had given Martez what he wanted.

Martez: So you have a weak spot for the woods do we? Well what would you do if I ...lets say did this? (Martez lifted his left hand and a fire ball was spawned in his hand. Unaware to him, Gaijh stepped between him and the odd oak tree. He leaned over and whispered.)

Gaijh: I will not let my lord or anyone else harm you, First chance you get run.

Martez: What would you do if I dropped this ball of flames onto this grass coved forest floor?
