OOC: I'm fixing this place up.
I'll be removing all the governement forums, and completely ridding the place of all sub-nation governments. All power resides in two people, the colony leader and the earth leader. Governments are killing the true idea of the RPG, even though they are going well.
I'm changing the public storyline to a bit more of an extended bit of information, and making it more clear that the Colonies and Earth are actually at peace, and that Zechs reproduced the Mobile Suits as a service to mankind, satiating the human desire for conflict.
Mobile suits should not necessarily be the only thing that solves conflict. Just like the old gundamwing.com RP environment, this is a personal level RPG. Suits are fine... but remember. Not everyone had a mobile suit. Sure, all the main characters in the series did, but that was because the suits were given to them by a faction. The Gundams were given to the pilots after being created by the colonies. You don't have to buy them yourself, just get a group to fund you, if you really want one. I estimated about 500,000 mobile suits during the series, with about 50 billion living people in the world. That's a small percentage of people with mobile suits. If you don't have one, that's fine. Ouch, I'm rambling. Just remember that this is based withing the After Colony universe, which isn't JUST mobile suits. There are people behind them too. That was always the best part of RP, getting to know characters and their quirks. I do see several people doing a very good job at this.
I don't mean to kill anyone's spirit, so don't take this the wrong way. I'm not pissed at anything, I'm just adjusting it for the good of everyone else.
The guidelines are not there to create a solid path for people to follow. I'm seeing everyone jump for mobile suits, including myself. The guidelines are there only to provide continuity. I'd like to see some people RPing people who don't pilot a suit, people that are simply there to RP. Not all 50 billion people were fighters. A lot more people were just normal citizens, dealing with life. THAT is always an interesting story. It'd be even better if people could RP a "normal" citizen's life, and still be involved in the storyline. It'd be freakin' great.
Please, don't let the guidelines "guide" you into a thin path. They're pretty wide, they just set boundaries. And these boundaries stretch from the Sun all the way out to the asteroid belt, and even further. I've only limited a couple of things.
I suppose I haven't really linked everyone to this information, but now I am providing the links below in a more public location. I'm going back and changing a lot of them, and I'll soon be consolidating all of them into a nice location, perhaps even in this topic. The following is a list of rules concerning certain things.

If it isn't addressed in these, and you have a question, just ask. Otherwise, consider it possible.
A big issue has been the cost of mobile suits. This is included with the Wealth Acquisition topic listed above. This also includes theft. You can steal something of the same value if you post the necessary amount.
Deaths are another thing, and are also listed above. Simply put, you need a certain amount of posts (or a chat agreement) PER PERSON in order to kill someone. This applies to large groups. If you want to kill a character, even an NPC, you have to do the necessary things.
Factions, not nations, should be the groups that do war. The Gundam boys mostly fought against OZ - a military faction. Keep that in mind.
I REALLY hope that I don't drive anyone away with this, but I know that some people will be driven away. If you are, that's fine. If you choose to stay as I do all of these changes, that simply proves your maturity.
If you are RPing as I change something that affects your character's motives, you can convert you current RP by considering the change as an undiscovered condition. If you don't know how to fix it, just ping me, I'll help you out.
To go along with this, if I change something, just keep it going, and resolve it, then continue as the new beginning topic suggests. (Earth and Colonies at peace)
