Hero/Villain Idea - Involves Mental Health

Hi all.

I'm trying to keep this short, but informative. It is late, but I don't want ot lose this idea as it is in my head!

Essentially I don't have a final plot drafted, just a rough idea of what I'd like to happen.

Group of people end up with powers (born with them, aliens, science experiment, etc.) These people will start out developing themselves as ordinary people, and we will flesh out what type of person they are. The powers they will have will be based on whatever psychological reason they have for their behavior (not well explained so let me use an example).

Persona: Class Clown
Characteristics: Obnoxious, Attention Seeking, Funny (likes to bring joy to others)
Reason: Feels Overlooked and Unappreciated, depressed

Power: Invisibility/Emotional Healing (of others only)


Persona: Shy Gal
Characteristics: Quiet, Reserved, Afraid to succeed, Intelligent, People Pleaser/Pushover
Reason: Afraid of success, abused as a child, thinks she is unworthy/worthless

Power: Super Strength, Enhanced durability, Power over Light (will develop into light manipulation).

These are BASIC examples of what I would hope would be a deeply satisfying and long RP that takes time to develop characters. I will see who shows interest, and am open to suggestions as how this is set up. I don't want to only limit this to super "heros," however, I would need a reason the good and bad are working together. I want it to be deeper than SUPERGIRL and IRONMAN, and more along the lines of every-day people, who are given a gift so opposite to who they think they are, but is a reflection of who they truly are.

This sounds very interesting, and I've been looking to jump into an Hero/Villain RP for a bit now, sign me up!
