Sam's eyes widened slightly as a rather happy looking female student claimed her purse. She had been sitting next to Adrian, and had been speaking with him before rising from her seat. They must be friends. He paused, Or maybe more? He's probably straight, just like most of the students in this school.

His vision focusing finally on the girl in front of him, he smiled to her, "You're welcome, miss." It felt awkward using such a polite word, but he couldn't quite help himself. He remained completely oblivious to her obvious attraction to him, mind still stuck on the two boys he had met.

Sam heard Adrian giggling at the girl in front of him, causing Sam himself to laugh a little. His light laughter reached the girl's ears and no one else's, soft and fluid sounding. "Uh, would it be ok if I asked you and your friend," he pointed toward Adrian, "to join me for lunch? If so, meet me at the old clock tower, I eat there to get away from everything."

"Mr. Willis," the teacher prodded, surprising Sam, "Jessica now has her purse, I think you should return to class now."

His body remained still as he turned his head toward the teacher, "Sure thing, have fun with the whole...geometry thing." he smirked, walking backwards to the door. He smiled at both Adrian and Jessica, whispering loudly, "Lunch!"

Rushing back to the drama room, he pushed the door open with gusto and ran to the stage. He was slightly out of breath from running, so he decided to take a little rest, and lied down with his back on the stage. He was next to Aiden and Quinn, Marylin still nearby. Resting his arm on his head, slightly covering his eyebrows, he glanced up at Aiden. "Hey, what did I miss?"
Mosh pit.
Well-concealed tazer.
Hours of endless entertainment.

Aiden grinned down at Sam. "You didn't really miss anything. Mr. Austin's doing small group exercises, so we've pretty much just been sitting here. Heh, I missed you." He laughed, a little nervously, in an attempt to cover up the words that had just slipped out of his mouth. "I MISSED you?" Don't be stupid, you've just barely met him and he was gone five minutes. What were you thinking? Aiden cleared his throat and smiled at Sam, faint color rising to his cheeks. "Well, anyway, what're you doing later today? Would you like to hang out, maybe? I'm still pretty new here and I'd like to explore the school for a little while, if you're free." He looked at Sam hopefully, afraid to admit, even to himself, how much he wanted Sam to say yes.
"Wanna play a joke on your chiropractor? The next time he starts working on you, go limp and soil yourself."

Adrian smiled at little when he had heard Sam's words, "Sure thing, have fun with the whole...geometry thing." So, he was being a little sarcastic, who in their right mind actually liked geometry, well, other than Jessica...

"Oh my God, oh my God! Adrian!" Jessica was whispering to Adrian when she was sitting down in her seat. She was about to twitch to death, like she was so happy that Sam was the one that brought back her purse from the drama room.

"Breath. Yes, Sam brought back your bag. You can tell me about it after class." He wouldn't mind hearing the way she would describe him, she was a very perceptive girl, and thus was something so wonderful about her.

"No, no, no! Lunch. You and I just go invited by Sam to have lunch with him! At the old clock tower. I think he thinks we are a couple! Man, won't he be surprised to find out that I am just your friend, and I am so totally single! I don't know how he will react to your being gay, but still... please!"

"Miss Connors! Care to tell us what you are disturbing Mr Emerhart with?"

"Oh, sorry..." She sighed softly and turned around in her desk and acted like the good little student she was.

Sam laughed, rolling over onto his stomach and pushing himself up with his hands. He now kneele, facing Aiden, "I missed you too, honey." he joked, though admittedly he did, even though he had only been gone a few minutes. He found himself growing further attracted to Aiden, but he still felt something for Adrian. Aiden, Adrian...odd similarity in the names.

"And I was thinking you could join me for lunch, if you want. I already invited the guy you met earlier, Adrian. His friend Jessica will be with him, if he decides to come. I think they're dating." he brushed a hand through his hair.

"Still at the clock tower, Sammy?" Quinn wondered from behind him.

"Yep, you coming too?" he replied, rotating slightly to get a better look at her.

She laughed as if he had just asked the most ridiculous question in the world, "Oh but of course, my dear. We almost always eat lunch together."

((i posted my character a while ago but this is the first post for me... about the whole pick your own room numbers could you give us something about like if the diff. grades get diff. room numbers and the such or are all the grades just mixed together in the dorm.))

Joe walked into the grounds, the ride from his home by taxi had taken more days than he had wanted. Walking onto the grounds he thought about where in the world he would be staying. Wearing his normal clothes he looked like a sore thumb sticking out when he noticed that classes must have been going on and everyone was wearing their uniforms.

Taking a couple of steps onto the grounds he noticed a very beautiful girl with green eyes sitting on a bench with a guy standing next to her talking. Joe thought to himself "Ohhh...this is good, big school, pretty girls, lots of space to train...its my dream come true".

Picking up his duffle bag that had all his clothes and such he walks over to to the bench where the girl was sitting and says, "uhhh...excuse me but uhh.. could you point me in the general direction of where the dorms would be...," his voice was deep and throaty, and the taxi driver had been smoking the entire trip so his voice was slightly off from all the smoke.

He scratched his head and cleared his throat thinking to himself "well that certainly souded off." He sat his bag on the ground with ease and reached out his hand prompting to shake the girls hand and introduce himself, he repeates himself "I'm sorry, my names Joe and I'm a little new and I have no idea where where the dorms are."

Aiden bit his lip as he listened to Sam's request. Eat lunch with him and his friends? What if they don't like me? What if they resent me coming out of nowhere and intruding on their friendship? There's so much potential for problems here. Eventually, however, his desire to be with Sam won over his anxieties about a group lunch and he smiled unsteadily at him. "Sure thing, I'd be happy to come. I'll be there."

Sensing Aiden's uneasiness, Sam put a soft hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry, it'll be fun. I promise."

"Sam! I need you again!" Mr. Austin shouted from across the stage, surrounded by about six girls. Most of them grinned expectantly as Sam rose to his feet and ran toward them.

"What's up, Jim?"

"I need you to read this for me. And perform it with..." Mr. Austin looked around, unsure of which unsuspecting female to choose, "...Amber." he pointed to a short redhead wearing far too much eye makeup. She smiled wildly, pleased by her teacher's choice.

"What are we performing, Mr. Austin?" she questioned, getting to her feet and looking curiously at the script he held. Does it have a kissing scene with Sam? That'd be my dream come true.

"Here, take a glance, then perform it. I want to see your progress." he handed her a script, giving the second one to Sam.

Sam quickly glanced over it, recognizing it as something he'd read before. This made it easy for him to memorize, and since it was only a page or two, he had it completely stuck in his brain after five minutes. He put the script down on a nearby chair, and slid toward Amber. "Let's get this party started, shall we?" he took her hand, pulling her toward him gracefully.

The role required for them to be a couple, just after making up. The fight they had had was apparently something that Sam's character had initiated, so he had to act as if he were trying his darnedest to please her.

"Cassandra, I promise to never again betray you. You're my world, my life, my everything. I don't want to lose you, not now...not ever." with the final two words, he leaned into her, wrapping his arms around her gently. He remained with his back facing away from the 'audience', as any good performer would do.

"Jack, how do I know you won't hurt me again? You've never once done something so awful as tonight...yet I forgave you...should I have?" Amber wasn't nearly as skilled an actor as Sam, but she tried. Her nerves at being so close to the object of her affection seemed to make it difficult for her to concentrate. He could tell she was shaking, but he believed it to be just stage fright.

"Look into my eyes, my love...tell me, what do you see?"

She stared deeply into his emerald green eyes, and in that moment, she saw love. It was as if there was no one on the planet who could tear them apart, no disaster large enough to stop the two of them. They were unstoppable.

"You....you're a really good actor, Sam." she shuttered, sweating more than usual.

"Amber, that's not the line!" Mr. Austin spoke up from where he had been viewing their display. "Start from the beginning."

Sam sighed, dipping his head. This is so awkward... He glanced back toward Aiden, wondering what it would be like if Mr. Austin had (for some reason) chosen him to play the part of Cassandra. Then I might be having more fun.

He returned to his perfect performance, pushing through his disintrest in Amber, and somehow convincing the world of his undying love for her. I should win an Oscar for this.

After the scene completed, the loud bell rang to indicate the end of the period. "Alright, go have fun eating your lunches, but don't fill up on junk!" Mr. Austin joked, being the only teacher who willingly admitted to being a junk food junkie.

"Time to go to lunch!" Quinn squealed, grabbing hold of Sam's hand. "Come on, Aiden, let's go." She stopped, noticing Marylin in the near distance, "Hey, Marylin, wanna come to lunch with us too? The more the merrier!"

Aiden sat back and watched the scene Sam was performing, torn between amusement and frustration with the terrible acting of the girl opposite him. God, this girl is so terrible it causes me physical pain, he thought. Although I don't know how well I'd be doing either if I were the one that Sam had his arms around. When that boy turns on the charms, all I want to do is run to him. He really is a good actor. Aiden grinned. And being painfully attractive doesn't hurt him either. He watched the rest of the scene, fighting back the urge to run up on stage, knock the other girl to the floor, and leap into Sam's arms. He groaned inwardly when the bell rang, realizing that this was by far the best class of the day and, now that it was over, he didn't really have anything else to look forward to. Except, of course, spending time with Sam. I can't believe how fast I'm falling for this boy. I never fall this fast for anyone, my brain doesn't usually allow it. And yet, somehow, he's convinced my brain that he's not gonna end up hurting me, like all the others. He was so lost in his own thoughts that he barely heard Quinn's voice urging him on. "Uhh, yeah... Okay," he mumbled, following the two of them out of the classroom.

Adrian was pretty much dragged out of his seat, with out a chance to grab his stuff. "Jessica Connors! You better let me go, or I will make sure you don't go see Sam. 'Cause I know that you won't go with out me." He smiled, though the threat almost killed him on the inside, but he would rather see his dear friend that he had known for years be all giddy and girl-y, than hurt her by making her wait, or her know that he was totally interested in Sam. He wouldn't say he was in love, infatuated, yes, but not in love, he barely knew the guy, therefore it barely made sense to fall in love.

"Come on Adrian, please hurry up. Hey, how come Matt didn't show up today, is he sick, or did Mary cause immense heartache?" She finally realized that her friend's twin, despite her dislike of when she asked him out that he was simpering over another girl and rudely brushed her off.

"Well, he was fine this morning and told me he was supposed to be this girl's escort, after that, he kind of disappeared off of the face of the Earth."

"Oh, I see. He's stupid anyway. Tell me that you aren't planning inviting him to lunch."

"Yes, that is, if we run into him." He gently messed with her long blonde hair, he then fixed it, he kind of had a pet-peeve with messy hair on girls. He had framed her medium length bangs and the rest of her hair for that matter so that it made her look a little on the angelic side.

"Thanks. Now, let's go, and pray that we don't run into Matt or his new goal for a girlfriend." She smiled wrapping her arm around Adrian's like they were an actual couple.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh... we just skipped our very first class together. Might have to do that again." Matthew laughed as he heard the bell ring.
He actually just now noticed the guy, with the name of Joe. "Oh... hello..." His voice a little less cheery, almost like he was about to pounce on the guy if he so happen to think he was going to have Ellie. Yes, Matthew did tend to get a little preditorial when it came to the girl he had his eyes on.
"The dorms are in that building, then you take a left, depending on your room number you might have to walk to some stairs." He kept the rude tone out of his voice, though the look in his eyes weren't too controlled, but only a person that knew Matthew very well would know what the look was.
Joe cocked his head around to look at the guy standing there talking. The guys gaze didn't quite seem to be all that cheerful and neither did his "Oh... hello...".
As the guy spoke he seemed to have his emotions in check but the look in the man's eyes said it all. Joe had seen it before, that look of a predetor pretecting his marked terrotory.
Moving his arm to the left so as to shake the mans hand Joe said, "Sorry, At first I didn't realize you were there." Of course he had seen him, and Joe thought this remark would set the guy off a bit. Joe followed the statement with, "My names Joe, Nice to meet you." Joe had a smile on his face when he thought to himself "Lets see how good this guy can keep his emotions in check when I squeeze his hand into submission"
He looked down at his watch. "Shit..." he looked to the science department building not that far away. "I gotta jet...but hit me up sometime if you need help with that math," he said as he ran off towards the science department.
"Glennon's gonna kill me this time," he said as he looked down at his watch again. The A.P. chemistry teacher was Miss Cassandra Glennon, Dresdan's favourite, and he was hers. Dresdan figured that he could possibly get in bed with her if he really thought hard and tried, but he didn't bother, teachers were off limits even in his anarchistical mind.
Dresdan ran through the hallways of the science department, dodging students that had gotten out of different classes. One of the interesting things about Ashton Heights was that it didn't have exact periods. Classes were scheduled at different times of day. Some classes got out and started in the middle of others. "I'm in for it," he said. "Fifteen minutes late....."
As dresdan got to the door he reached for the handle and tried to turn and push the door open, only to slam into it and fall backwards on his ass. Dresdan looked up at the door and saw a note on the window of the door. It read 'the twelve o' clock class has been cancelled for today, everyone is still expected to do the assigned reading and homework.'
"Well then... Isn't that just dandy...I bust my head on the door and there's not even a class in there to be distrubed from it," he sighed. "Well then...What to do now," he said.
hope shall always be ever undying in my heart
For everyman carries sin within his heart,
and in his footsteps hell is bound,
but within in the heart, with good intentions from the start,
once more can paradise be found
Matthew looked at Joe's as if it might have been diseased. Of course, the 'friendly' move. Never in his life would he back away from some guy just because he thought that he had claims on the first cute girl he saw. Granted, he had been like that, like when he was twelve and he was a terror all the time. But he had grown up some and waited for the third girl he saw, expect Ellie had been special, because it had just started out as being friendly, and actually thought it was fate that he ran into her the night before.
"The name is Matthew. Nice to meet you Joe. And it is fine, I didn't see you either, so must mean that we are even already." He was in ultimate control of himself. He smiled and sounded cheerful, his forest green eyes looked a little friendlier now. He had even thought about using an old phrase his twin used to use when they were kids, which was 'what a lovely little ting?!' It was supposed to be cute when they were kids because of his trouble with 'th', but then it just grew into a habit.
He finally took his hand, his grip firm, but not too much so.
Joe looked at the man who had introduced himself as Matthew, and watched as he took his hand, it seemed that he had collected himself even more. But Joe knew that even so he was going to see just how witsy he could be under 'pressure'.
So as Matthew took his hand Joe's smile grew even wider, answering the guys remark with, "Indeed, I do believe we are even." Then in a snap, Joe tightened his grip on Matthew's hand, slowly squeezing tighter and tighter. Joe knew the guy would not last for long and the second he would try to pull away he would let go, he knew the boundaries of making himself look like a dick.
The veins in his forearm started to appear, slowly showing themselves. Then a thought popped into his head, "I wonder what the name is of the girl next to me," and without realizing it, Joe started scratching his head and tightened his grip even more on the mans hand, making the veins in his arm pop out even more, and the smile on Joes face get even wider.
Marilyn sighed as she stood to the side of the group, her head tilted to one side as she watched Sam and Amber. It was a shame really, that Mr. Austin didn't use someone other then Sam to help the other girl improve on their acting, but then again, Sam was an exceptionally good actor, and though most of the girls adored him, which often got in the way of their acting, it was good for them to have a difficult situation to improve in.
"Alright, go have fun eating your lunches, but don't fill up on junk!" Mr. Austin joked.
Marilyn smiled softly as Mr. Austins joke. rolling her eyes in his direction noticably so he saw.
"Sure, Mr. Austin, I'll make sure to fill up on as much as I can."
Walking towards the door, Marilyn bent down to scoop up her books from where she had dropped them lazily and rested them in the crook of her arm, using her free hand to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear before opening the door. Stepping out into the hall, Marilyn looked about. She didn't have anyone to join for lunch, nor did she hve any extra studying needed to be completed. Her gaze filed down the partially filled hall as she began to make her way outside with a sigh.
Matthew knew he was in trouble when Joe snapped his hand closed around his own hand. And it really didn't help that the guy's grip had tightened even more so. He closed his eyes for a second as he didn't have a high pain tolerance, call him a wimp, that is fine, doesn't mean he is going to take the pain more than it was needed.
"Joe..." He said through gritted teeth, "please, my hand." He would have moved it, but it was physically impossible, plus he figured that if he didn't actually voice it, this guy wasn't going to let go of him.
Adrian was practically being dragged in the direction of the old clock tower by Jessica, she was excited about meet Sam there, she hoped that it would be her lucky day.
"Jessica stop, please. You didn't even bother to get your lunch. And mine is with Matthew." He pleaded softly, his voice soft for her.
"Oh, no, I actually packed today. Of course I would have starved if it weren't for Sam." She giggled, to her this was fate, she and Sam had been meant to be. "You can share lunch with me. Please Adrian, don't ruin this for me. This means the world to me."
"I know..." He sighed, but he smiled, which caused Jessica to smile back, she knew that he was on board with her.
((OOC: Tiger, Quinn offered for Marylin to have lunch with Sam and them lol.))
As Sam entered the dusty clock tower, he noticed a few other students give him strange looks. Quinn followed happily and maneuvered around a nearby cobweb.
They sat down next to each other on a few boxes in front of a makeshift table. They ate lunch here regularly, and Quinn had done everything in her power to make it look appealing. There was a large window nearby in which a view of most of the school could be seen. At the end of the day, when the sun fell from the sky, it was breathtaking. Sam would sometimes come here to think, and he always loved the view.
The room in which they sat was large enough to fill at least twelve people, fourteen if they crammed in, and Sam eagerly awaited the arrival of those he had invited.
"Sam, do they know about your sexuality?" Quinn questioned, mouth full of a tuna sandwich.
"Well, everyone seems to think I'm gay..." Sam sighed. It's not 100% untrue, but it's still frustrating.
"Gay, bi, they don't know the difference. All that matters is that you know who you are. If you are bisexual, you are bisexual, no if's and's or but's."
Taking a bite of his own turkey sandwich (made lovingly by Quinn), he swallowed before responding, "But it's been so long since I've been attracted to a female, maybe that's why they think I'm gay. Then again, it's been a while since I've been attracted to a guy either."
"Wait," Quinn put down her sandwich, leaning in slightly, "Are you attracted to a guy right now?" Her smile spelled mischief in any language.
Leaning back to get away from her a bit, he looked out the window as if it held the right answer. "Well....two, actually."
"You dog! I'm so happy; you've been single for far too long!"
After a couple of minutes' searching, Aiden found the clock tower where Sam asked him to meet his group for lunch. I'm so nervous. I hope everything goes well. A smile brightened his face as he saw Sam, but it disappeared a second later when he saw the room they were in. That's such a big table! How many people does he expect me to deal with? I don't know if I can do this. He hesitantly sat down next to Sam, smiling nervously at the two of them. "This is a nice place," he said, desperately attempting to fill the silence that had fallen in the room. "So peaceful."
Adrian had taken the lead because Jessica almost got lost getting to somewhere so simple. It was mostly because she was so excited about seeing Sam and maybe holding a conversation that Adrian already knew would not spell 'I-love-you-Jess' and he also did not have the heart to tell her that Sam showed no interest in her when they were in geometry class.
"Okay, we are here. You are so hopeless Jessica." He teased kissing her on the cheek like he did evertime they entered a building together. It was just a habit they had when they were younger, had been him and Matt kissing each of her cheeks, but Matt fell out of it.
"Stop!" Jessica laughed as she lead the way searching for Sam. She found him and smiled, waving. There were two other people, one boy and a girl. And they weren't exactly sitting next to each other.
"Hello Sam, Aiden." Adrian shook his head at his friend's questioning face. "It is fine." He said softly as he pulled her along. Adrian choose to sit next to Aiden, while Jessica next to Adrian.
