Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Mia Siserae on Tue Oct 04, 2005 2:26 pm

Violet eyes widened as the blinding light began to fade.

No..no he can't be--

Her hands shook on the keyboard as she took a few steps away from it, her mind stubborn to believe that her employer The Southern Wind, Kaden, could be dead. She watched as the light continued to dwindle away, leaving debris and huge chunks of what was left of Leo behind. A few of Wind's other employees stood awestruck behind her. For a moment, no one would say anything. The deafening silence tugged at the depths of her heart as she shook her head, her fist coming down hard on the keyboard.

Crew, we're going out there.

Pilot: What!? Are you insane?? They could still come after us!

Kaden could still be out there!! I won't believe he's gone until I see it, now BRING ME OUT THERE.

Pilot: But Ma'am...

But before he could say anything else she gave him a death glare that shouldn't be reckoned with.

We'll take the shuttle. You two stay here on the bridge and monitor our status and I want you to keep track of everything moving out there, and you three are coming with me. As for the rest of you, I want you to standby for further instructions.

Everyone looked at each other for a brief moment, wondering if she was serious.

LET'S GO!!

Then everyone moved at once, and quickly as well. She strolled quickly back into the shuttle, the door closing behind her as the shuttle roared into life. Main controls parted the doors to the hangar for them as the lifted off into space. The shuttle hovered about for a moment, then thrusted forwards, slowing down to steer towards the rubble. Tiny fragments of metal scraped across the small shuttle as they slowly turned into the debris. She stood up, to get a better look outside of the side window. Her hands clentched onto the chair in front of her, her nails beginning to dig into it as the continued on.

This is main controls, heat sensors indicate that there is minor activity initiating from the western end, sending coordinates as we speak--

The shuttle then quickly shifted directions, heading towards the location given. They all glanced around with anticipation as her heart was pounding in her chest.

Pilot: Over there!! LOOK!!

Her heart nearly stopped as she shifted her glance. A gasp escaped her lips as she spotted Wind floating in what was left of his cockpit.

Well don't just stand there!! Suit up and go get him!!!

The other two did as they were told, and they were outside in a matter of minutes retrieving their employer. They slowly but surely drifted back into the shuttle, and as the doors opened for them, she told them to lay Kaden down on the ground. She pryed him free from the upperhalf of his flight suit in a quick yet careful manner. His hair was soaked in blood as her fingertips lightly pressed up against the side of his neck.

A pulse. Faint, but it was there. He was alive!!

She immediately sent word to the others on Pegasus that he was alive and to rapidly gather her materials. As the shuttle docked, the door swung open as the two that were with her, along with the pilot carefully brought Kaden out, laying him on a small cot. They then lifted the cot and brought him into a fairly empty room that gave sufficient light for her to examine him. The men had brought her the things she needed, her backpack for one, along with water, towels, and wrapping bandages.

She sent all but two of them away, requesting silence as she opened her bag up while pulling a few things out. He needed blood. Another soldier walked in with an IV ready to go. She worked quickly, setting up the IV, attaching the end of it to a needle. Dipping a swab of cotton in alcohol, she cleans the center of his right arm, tossing it afterwards. She then slid the needle into his skin catching one of the main veins in his right arm, afterwards securing it with two layers of tape.

She then rinsed a towel with water and starting from the top of his forehead, began cleaning him up. Softly passing the towel down the side of his face, she could make out a few minor scratches. But as she continued to move down, the injuries seemed to appear worse. There were two large gashes that needed to be tended to immediately and she wasted no time on getting to them.

One of them was on the upper part of his left arm. With a needle and thread that was as tough as fish wire, she cautiously closed his wound up. Applying cotton wads of alcohol on it afterwards to prevent infection. She continued to do the same to the huge gash that ran along his right side. She continued to clean him up, noting that his legs didn't take in as much damage as the upper part of his body did. With two buckets of water, an empty one on the ground below his head, and the other in her hand, she began rinsing the blood out of his hair, only to stitch up a decent sized cut found on the top left of his head afterwards. She then towel dried his hair with a clean towel, careful not to hit the stitches.

Finishing up, she covered all of his stitches with the white wrapping bandage. She checked the IV to make sure it was consistant. She then pulled a blanket over his lower body, dimming the lights shortly after. She dismissed the other two, pulling up a chair beside Kaden, she let out a heavy sigh of relief.

Hang in there cowboy...

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Zhelir Darkfall on Tue Oct 04, 2005 4:38 pm

Zhelir's suit rocketed out of the hanger bay like a bat out of Hell. The doors hadn't even been fully open when he'd spoted, and from that point, he completely forgot the battle.

"Sir, with all due respect, are you really intending on launching a two-man assault on a battle cruiser?" Tersan's voice chimed in.

No. I'm intending on going to the ship to further understand why Pegasus, }{G's flagship and base of operations, is sitting infront of me, as I distinctly remember being in the near vicinity of it being shot down. Zhelir replied. "Come if you want, or turn back now, it's your choice."

"I'm coming, Sir."

Without a reply, Zhelir increased the throttle of his suit, inputing the codes he so well remembered from the days of docking his dropship, hoping they hadn't yet been changed.

OOC: Just want to clear it up that this happens after this topic: http://gwing.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2961#2961

IC:

Kiyoshi sat in his office after Han left. Lisa walked in with a report that she placed on his desk.

Lisa - There seems to be activity outside with the Pegasus. Zhelir finally arrived in the area as well.

Kiyoshi stood to his feet and collected the files in front of him.

Have a shuttle prepared for me. I'm heading over. Have the Command Center monitor all comm. traffic, and try and get them to contact Zhelir while I'm getting ready. It's time I meet him, and pay my respects. Have Han and his team ready to escort me.

Kiyoshi walked into his living quarters, closing the door behind him. Lisa turned and walked out and began issuing his orders. Soon after, Kiyoshi sat in the pilot seat of one of L3's public shuttles and he took it out from the port of L3. As he got out a team of Leo's appeared flying beside him.

Han - You called for an escort?

I shouldn't need it Lieutenant, but I appreciate it.

Han - No problem, sir. Ensign Mars, Ensign Rynolds, get ready for one of the most annoying missions that the brass can think of...

Eota - Yes, sir.

Base normally would have groaned from the thought of having to complete and escort mission. However now, he was just thankful for being alive after the battle earlier. His Leo still had visible damage, but the vernier's were repaired. He and Eota moved into position behind Kiyoshi's shuttle, with Han to the front, as Kiyoshi slowly brought his ship towards the Pegasus.

Hands moved over him, water.....washing away every pain, every fear...Freedom, life, all experienced at once. Blood spilt, tears whiped away...And that all too familiar voice.

Voice - Sit up.

..I can't..

Voice - I said sit up! You don't need people to worry about you all the time!

I'm....i'm trying..

A different voice seeped into his mind, expressing another emotion....Sorrow...

New Voice - Hang in there cowboy...

Slowly, his eyes opened, glancing over to his side. Mia...she'd fallen asleep in the chair....His hand reached over from the table, moving atop her own as he drew in a breath...

Thank you..

Here it came...Darkness swaying in around him....But it was alright, she was there...and she was safe....

His eyes closed once more, tugged back into unconciousness.

You guys stay out here. If I need you, I'll let you know.

Han - Alright. Eota, Base, lets back off and wait out here.

Base and Eota - Yes sir, Lieutenant!

Kiyoshi put in some codes and began to dock his shuttle with the Pegasus. He was ready to let someone else, other than himself, know of his plan to go after the Defenders.

Outside the Pegasus Han and his team floated around.

Eota - Base, you're being too quiet, it's bothering me...

Han - He's still over coming his first near death experience. The life of a pilot is filled with them, so get used to it Ensign Rynolds.

Base continued to sit quietly in the cockpit of his repaired Leo.

Eota - Come on, I'm supposed to be the quiet reserved one!

Eota smiled as he appeared on Base's screen in a tiny window. His attempt to lighten the mood didn't phase Base at this moment.

Han - Rynolds...if you are worried that you did something wrong in the battle. You didn't. You were up against an opponent in a stronger more advanced mobile suit. You're lucky to survive an attack from a Gundam. This means you can't live your life sulking about it. There will be other battles and you have to approach each of them differently. Both of you did well for your first combat experience. Against a Gundam no less!

Han appeared next to Eota's image in Base's cockpit. Han smiled in a fatherly way at Base. This made Base feel a little better and he smiled back.

Base - Thank you, Leutinent.

Han - That's more like it. Now sit back and relax, I doubt there will be another attack for awhile.

Voice: Miss Siserae....Miss Siserae!!

Mia's eyes slowly opened, blinking the world around her into view. She noticed the pilot from before standing at the door way, a troubled look to his face. Her fingers slightly twitched when she realized that they were under something. And there was Kaden's hand lightly resting on top of her own.

Pilot: Miss Siserae, we're completely surrounded. They're entering the hangar as we speak.

With a firm squeeze of Kaden's hand, she stood up to check his heartrate and his blood level before turning towards the door.

Pilot: What are you going to do?

I'm going to greet them. You stay here with him.

The door lightly shuts behind her as she takes her time pacing towards the hangar. Turning to two men she speaks in an abrupt tone.

No one entering Pegasus is to know of Kaden's location and placement--is that understood?

They both nodded as she continued on, passing the bridge. 'What am I to do now?' she thought to herself as she entered the hangar, watching a shuttle docking. Her eyes glanced about and noticed that they indeed were surrounded. Some other of Kaden's men had followed her into the hangar, although she didn't know why--she guessed that they were there for either intimidation or support.

She rolled her shoulders back, standing tall she stood with her arms lightly crossed in front of her. Her long black hair swayed lightly along her waist as she awaited the newcomers.

Kiyoshi ea silly landed the shuttle and sat there awhile. He reached into his pocket and looked at his }{G communicator. If they didn't know who he was, this might help confirm that he isn't an enemy. He kept that in his hand as he made his way to the door. After the door had depressurized, Kiyoshi came out of the ship and looked around as the light reflected off of his sunglasses. Kiyoshi jumped down and landed on the ground then leaned up against the shuttle with his arms crossed.

Zhelir would be getting out of the Mercurius soon, and if the ship's crew had decided they were enemies, there could be a problem. He'd just have to wait and see. For a second, he looked down at his }{G communicator and then looked forward to the nearest door that he guessed they would be coming through.

Then he saw a woman with black hair walk through with two guards. Kiyoshi stepped forward and began to walk towards her holding up his }{G communicator.

My name is Kiyoshi Kazami, I am the leader of L3 and a member of the }{G, I am here to give my condolences for the man that was lost earlier, and to talk to Zhelir.

Kiyoshi stopped at where he thought a safe distance was, still holding up the }{G communicator.

Zhelir popped the cockpit of Mercurius and, from past experience of both the faultering stability of many }{G members and the faultering stability who'd just lost someone close to them, he rolled out of the cockpit with his Casulls drawn. He hit the floor with a resounding "thud!" and wasted no time in returning to his feet.

In seconds, he had taken cover behind Mercurius, exposing just enough of himself around its left leg to see the door and aim the Casull for the group just before it.

"Someone wanna tell me why the FUCK this thing isn't a heap of rubble in Texas?" He yelled out, his eyes trained on the doorway.

You shouldn't go around aiming guns at everybody...you might get yourself shot.

Kiyoshi slowly turned around and looked at Zhelir. He recognized his voice from the communication he had made when he first arrived on L3.

You must be Zhelir...

Kiyoshi put down his hand with the }{G Communicator as he turned back to the people at the doorway.

I'm guessing that the pilot of the Leo brought the Pegasus back up to space...

Zhelir held his position. His eyes and levelled gun reflected no awareness of Kiyoshi's presence, but he responded to him all the same.

"I'll keep it in mind." He replied, though his gun didn't waver one bit. "And yeah, I'm Zhelir. I'm gunna go out on a limb here n' guess you're Kiyoshi. I'll congradulate ya n' all that great shit a some point when I'm not worried about gettin' shot. And if I were you, I'd grab some cover, too."

He continued to peer around the side of Mercurius' leg, trying to descern who the girl was in the doorway. He took it a bad sign that someone he didn't know in the least was standing on the threeshold of what felt more to him like home than the colonies or Earth ever had.

Kiyoshi simply crossed his arms and stepped to the side a bit making sure he was out of the way of Zhelir's fire all together.

It's a girl who looks to be unarmed and two men. If they wanted to kill us, they would have already open fire. They probably want to know if we're a threat or not and you aiming a gun at them isn't helping the situation.

Kiyoshi looked to the girl and the men with his cold gaze through his sunglasses.

Plus I have a team of Leo's outside. If I get killed here, they won't be too happy. Neither will the rest of L3's Defense Force, and with the colony still on alert from the attack, it wouldn't be wise to tick them off.

A curious look crossed her face as the two men that had momentarily arrived seemed to bicker at each other. Her eyes locked on to the communicator in Kiyoshi's hand and she recognized the }{G symbol immediately. It was the same exact symbol that Kaden had tattooed on his back. In truth, she didn't want to believe Kaden was involved with the }{G, which to her was but a myth. She wanted to believe that he had that very symbol on his back to represent his support in keeping the legendary stories alive. But as she stood there staring at the contraption in Kiyoshi's hand, she knew that that symbol on the center of Wind's back was more than just a myth. It was real.

The young woman knew that she and the other men were pretty much screwed, but she also knew that the newcomers didn't know what they were or weren't capable of. Mia decided to use this to her advantage, to see if she can get some information out of these men.

Gentleman...we have absolutely no intention to kill you--Like Mr. Kazami said if we didn't want you here, you would've been dead by now. Now why is Pegasus so important to the two of you? You seem to be able to afford an entire fleet that can occupy an entire colony, I don't understand why you can't invest in a new ship instead of coming after this junkie...worn out..and not to mention out-dated ship.

I said IF you wanted to kill us that you would have already open fire. Not that you would kill us if you did.

Kiyoshi made sure to stress that fact as he put the communicator in his pocket.

I came here because I have been detached from the }{G for a long time. I did not know the member who died outside, and came to pay my condolences, as I've already said. I also came here to meet Zhelir, since he was already on his way.

Kiyoshi looks over to Zhelir then back at Mia and her guards.

He obviously wants to know why the hell you're on this ship. This is an }{G ship if you didn't know. He seems to have a short temper, so you better start answering him.

Congratulations. I guessed that, already. Either that or your part of some plot that stole this ship and brought it back into space, but I doubt that. That Leo wouldn't have gone out to fight the Gundam earlier if that was the case.

I'd also suggest that you don't lose your temper, you might make him nervous. When people get nervous, triggers get pulled. At least, that's my experience.

Kiyoshi remained calm and cool still staring coldly at Mia, but now there was a slight smirk on his face.

His hand tightened against the edge of the table. The pain he'd forgotten about soon rushed back to great his sore muscles, not to mention the stretched skin due to the stitches. The man in the room ran over to the table, franticly waving about.

Officer - Sir! You can't get up right now, you're wounded!

Get the hell away from me...

The officer, awestrucken, backed away from the table as the wreck known as Kaden rose from it. His feet came to the floor, his weight soon to shift onto them to nearly make him collapse. The Officer ran up once more, ducking under his right arm to help support him.

I said get away!

A quick shove from his right hand sent the officer flying to his ass. He began his exit from the room, limping heavily. The door before him opened immediately to reveal a few officers rushing around the hallway, stopping to stare at their leader. He disregarded their stares, limping his way down the hall before another officer runs up to his side.

Officer - Sir, Mia is in the docking bay and the Colonies have boarded the ship!

Get my Mag-7s..

The officer nodded before dashing back down the hall. He continued his limp, nearing the bay. The officer seemed to have flown down the hallway, was his really moving that slowly...? He extended both arms, both containing holsters that held the uzi like shotguns, clips already fully loadede with the slugs. He took time to sling them over his shoulders, dressing them on him entirely. He came to a stop before the bay doors, opening as well to reveal the form of Kaden. He rightened himself, walking through the doors to the crowd of people, attempting to hold his composure as the stitched wounds began to show their bleeding...

Someone starting the party without me...?

Kiyoshi narrowed his eyes at the man in bandages.

Well...this is just great...more people with guns.

Kiyoshi stood his ground focusing his cold eyes on Kaden. Kiyoshi hadn't yet guessed that he was the pilot of the Leo that was destroyed.

Look...I'm only here to say "Hey...I'm sorry the pilot from this ship died helping to defend L3...", and to meet another member of the }{G. That's it. I'm not here to cause any problems, as you obviously think.

Kiyoshi began to take in the environment around him. He knew if bullets did start to fly he would have to take cover like Zhelir had suggested earlier. He didn't think things would end up like this, but because of the L3ISS crash he wasn't up to date on everything yet. All Kiyoshi knew what to do was to hold his ground for now.

Before she could return Kiyoshi's glare, the officer beside her tapped her shoulder, motioning her to look towards the hangar entrance. Glancing over her shoulder, she nearly fell backwards as she saw Kaden's figure standing there--with guns. 'Hell this is serious--and to think I only brought two unarmed officers with me' she thought to herself.

Mia wanted to yell out to him to get out, but at the same time she wanted him there. She was caught in a purgatory of emotions as a troubled look crossed her face. 'He's not supposed to be up...' she peered at his wounds and watched as his cuts reopened and began to bleed once again.

'Damnit--what if he gets himself hurt again, that dumbass!! He doesn't know when to quit!!'

His usual smirk crossed his lips, his left eye still closed. His composure completely dropped as he limped up beside Mia, his right hand holding his chest...

Yeah well, I aint dead yet an if you aint 'ere to 'cause problems, mind tellin' me why you jus' busted in?

He stoods there, slightly swaying as he continued to hold himself up for the current moment. The entire time, his one eye trained on the form of Kiyoshi since he hadn't quite noticed the Mercurius yet.

So, Kiyoshi, an yes, I do know who you are, anythin' else we can help ya' with this evenin'?

Kiyoshi was surprised for two reasons and his face showed it. One was because he thought this man died earlier and two because he said he knew who he was. He then regained his composer and began to glare again.

The codes to get in are the same. If for some reason you don't want any of us old }{G to get on board...you should probably change those.

Kiyoshi paused for a second as the question he wanted to ask went through his head. Finally, he spoke.

How do you know who I am? I don't know you...and as far as I knew, no one remembered me.
