Hi, I am EmbracingInsanity. Its a bit of a mouth full so I am fine with nicknames.

I found this site on Google and was looking it up because I am interested in roleplaying. I have only done two roleplays so far, both on Gaia in the forums. I wanted to find a place just for roleplaying. I am not 100% on what kinds of role play I like best. If I went on my book preferences it would be fantasy/adventure. Really though I would like to try other kinds as well.

I like metal detecting, mainly WWII artifacts. I have been doing that since I was eight. I collect rocks and books. I love and adore books. So far I have about a thousand, mainly because my room can't take much than that. I have books everywhere, in my bed, my closet, in my book shelves, and almost anywhere else they can go. Oh and stuffed animals I loooove those.

I am studying science (and math) and I sometimes go into, oh I don't know, a research frenzy. I start with a question and I try to answer it and all questions brought about by the answers. This can go on from a few hours to days. I have no idea why it happens. Possibly cause by intense curiosity.

I love food of almost any kind, as long as they aren't raisins. I like cooking as long as I can eat it and can cook a variety of things. The only things I can bake from scratch are pizzas, cakes, and pies. I love sleep excessively so, primarily because I love dreaming. I am also prone to daydreaming/zoning out at random times, and often at that.

I enjoy reading and sketching, and am an ok artist, I have a long way to go. I am good at tree climbing, sprinting, and kicking...things. I have a dog, two turtles, and a newt, and I adore them.

I hope to make friends here, to have fun roleplaying, and to improve in it. It is a pleasure to meet you all.

Okay, now that's a neat hobby if I do say so myself. The metal detecting. Also, what type of books? Fictional? Historical? Scientific? Religious? Coloring Books?

I understand that research frenzy you mentioned, although I typically don't use it in the fields of mathematics or any of the sciences. I typically go into a research frenzy with history, culture, mythology, or religion. This isn't to say I don't like math, I'm just not as good at it!

Raisins are icky, but I do like other dried fruits, however old it makes me feel to mention that. I think the only things I've made from pure scratch would be when I made chicken fried steak, and jerk chicken. Also desserts. All my love for sweets.

I can't draw, but I do doodle from time to time. It's just bad. Unless maps, those I can make.

Doggies! What type of dog? Also, was the newt a poor English villager at some time in its past? Or did he already get better?

As for as books go I'll read almost any kind and collect them as well. In my room I have a lot of James Patterson, Clive Cussler, Nora Roberts, and several book series. I also have Marvel Comics, Lord of the Rings, and language dictionaries, as well as text books. So, yeah, and I'll still read books I read as a kid if I am in the mood. Like "Guess How Much I Love You". I also spend a lot of time reading poetry/fairytales.

My major may be Natural Science and Mathematics, but I much more for Science than Math. My research frenzy can involve anything, it is just more often than not Science.

I like dried apples, bananas, and apricots. You make chicken fired steak and desserts? You are a wonderful person. Dang, I am now hungry.

I can't draw maps, not well anyways. I am as of yet unable to draw people in a realistic style, I would like to be able to some day. I do most of my sketching when I should be doing homework, somehow that is almost always when inspiration hits.

An evil dog that's what. He's a 7 year old Maltese. He drooled on my Oreo so I didn't get to eat it. He's small, loud, and can jump amazingly high. Hmmm as far as Iggy my awesome newt goes (he has a red/orange belly and his back is black with dark blue spots) I don't think he was English. Unless he was an English man that was visiting Belgium.

Hi EmbracingInsanity and Chalchiuhtlicue! A big welcome to both of you. I'm glad you're joining the site. Research frenzies are a bit of a hobby for me, though mine wane toward more esoteric and often rather grim and depressing topics. That and radical social justice theory (things like queer theory, disability theory, critical race theory, etc.) and such like.

I've got two evil dogs who think the kitchen counter is a massive free for all for them. Unfortunately for us, every "successful" forage into leftover pasta means a massive mess for us.
