Camp DePrae Stables
To reserve a horse, post which one you want in the OOC thread. Once you are assigned a horse you are free to NPC/control it, just please keep roughly to its initial listed personality.
Trained key, 1-5 stars
Bribes range from a favored toy to a favorite treat

β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†: complies with instructions readily for rider and follows the herd.
β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†: follows most instructions and rarely needs bribes, still gets carried away with bad habits. Can veer from herd if not guided.
β˜†β˜†β˜†: follows few instructions and needs bribes, frequents bad habits. Will purposefully wander from herd.
β˜†β˜†: takes no instruction and has little cooperation even when bribed, very bad habits. Usually lags behind herd or tries to race ahead.
β˜†: fights against rider at every turn and will refuse bribes. Tends to strike at horses in front or behind it in riding herd, will attempt to chase them out or simply bolt back to the stables.

Jack, a counselor at Camp Deprae, is in charge of horseback riding activities as well as caring for the horses. Most of the horses are refugees from poor conditions, or even slaughterhouses. It's up to Jack to supply the camp with new horses after their current horses have made a full recovery from bodily and most of their emotional damage coming from bad living conditions. He's very adamant about the well-being of each of his animals and won't tolerate anyone harming nor mistreating them

β™‚Dragon appaloosa full breed
This is Jack's horse and only Jack's horse. He's stern with the other horses as the herd's patriarch but still able to be friendly. Dragon loves sugar and often noses pockets for a sugar cube. He was saved from a slaughterhouse auction.
Assigned to: Jack.
Trained: β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†

♀Valor fresian full breed
Valor is patient and brave. She doesn't balk from aggressive actions nor spook at unfamiliar things. The mare is well adjusted and belongs to Dante.
Assigned to: Dante.
Trained: β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†

β™‚Whiskey quarterhorseXthoroughbred mix
A very spunky horse, often screams at other horses. A lady's man and suited for an experienced rider. Loves to race the dogs and cause mischief. He was sent to Camp DePrae after being rescued from a neglectful farm.
Assigned to:
Trained: β˜†β˜†β˜†

β™‚Geist akhal-teke full breed
Geist is a very quiet and soft natured horse. He is often shy of louder horses and as such tends to flee from Whiskey. Geist is great for a first time rider. The gelding was removed from an abusive owner.
Assigned to:
Trained: β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†

♀Duchess thoroughbred full breed
She loves attention and is the most well behaved horse currently in the camp. Duchess doesn't like being served last however and will pitch a fit if she feels you've forgotten her. Storms tend to make her spooked easily. Duchess was found during a flashflood a few years ago and has become a regular at the camp.
Assigned to: Rico.
Difficulty: β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†

♀Adjo arabian full breed
Adjo is very playful and often Whiskey's partner in crime. Although not as vocal she is highly competitive compared to Whiskey; the two often race even with riders on their backs. Her previous owner, a posh and impatient brat, used to strike her with a whip to correct show mistakes. Faint scars are on her hindquarters and are still in the healing process.
Assigned to:
Trained: β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†

β™‚Frostbite appaloosaXthoroughbred mix
This stallion is one of the more stubborn horses on the camp. He has a biting issue and if given the upperhand will attempt to throw a rider off. The best way to win him over is to bring him a carrot or apple every time you visit him. Frostbite was rescued from a circus.
Assigned to: Brian.
Trained: β˜†

♀Houdini morgan full breed
Houdini has always been sneaky. She's able to get out of common stables and so required a special order lock. Leaving her in a paddock alone will most likely result in her camper frantically searching for her. Houdini is being eased back into the world of riding after an unfortunate carriage accident.
Assigned to:
Trained: β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†

♀Thrash connemara full breed
A rather difficult horse she most often gets into fights with other mares. Thrash is very spirited and onery but has a great weakness; water. She loves to race across the shore and kick sand up in her tail before plunging out for a brief swim. Thrash was taken out of a scientific establishment experimenting on animals.
Assigned to:
Trained: β˜†

β™‚Blitz pintoXamerican saddlebred mix
Blitz is the youngest horse available, making him the least experienced. He is also seeking to establish himself among the collective herd in the camp; he usually tries to horde the mares although very few of them take him seriously. Likewise he dances and encircles the stallions trying to start a fight. None of them take him seriously. Blitz was rescued from too small of a property which had no grass growing but mud.
Assigned to:
Trained: β˜†β˜†

β™‚Foghorn gypsy vanner full breed
Foghorn is the oldest and most patient horse in camp. He acts fatherly towards the rest of the horses and is cranky around the dogs. The horse has been named for his alarming vocal cords; when he is having trouble seeing he will bugle profusely until he is either blindfolded or safe and sound in his stall. Foghorn's sight is slowly getting worse and if he's being ridden too early or too late in the day, he will keep his head lower to the ground. Foghorn was brought to the camp after being abandoned for his deteriorating state.
Assigned to: -currently unavailable, simply brought to riding sessions to keep herd calm-
Trained: β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†
