There's this music service that I use to generate my current signature known as Last.fm. My full profile is available, and for anyone on GWing who uses Last.fm, you're welcome to friend me.
Some music players have built in support for "scrobbling", or reporting and tracking what you listen to, such as Rhythmbox. If your music player doesn't support it, they do have a healthy download page that should be of help to you.
