Rumors have surfaced that the city of Oranis was discovered deep beneath the ocean, and that if the Pumice Stones are found, the city can be risen back to the surface. The rumor further states that the Stones are hidden all across the various surrounding islands, deep within jungles, ruins, caves, and other places, protected by monsters, puzzles, and other dangerous traps.
Exploration Guilds formed of explorers from all over have formed in Aeranis, officially trying to get recognized, so they too can hunt for these Stones, and acquire treasures, fame, and personal satisfaction. However, our focus is on a few specific groups. Your groups. These are the ones recognized as having the most potential, and the ones who are most likely to ultimately succeed.
Will the Port Town of Aeranis see its sister city once more? Only time, and your group, will tell.

I feel I'm going to get this one a lot.
Stats are non-existent. They bog things down.
Classes are for base reference. They prevent us from having wizards swinging claymores larger than they are.
