A little help...

Hi,

My online name is Pony13 and I've been roleplaying paper and pen style for a little over 9 years. I've been RPGing online at http://www.Roleplayinggames.net but am looking for other places to reach out and possibly play/DM some games.

Since I'm new to this site I was wondering if anyone out there wouldn't mind telling me a few things.

How do you join a game / view a game?
and
How would I go about getting my own game together?

Firstly, massive welcomes! It's good to have you.

To join or view a game, you can browse through the forums to find one that interests you. Some large games have an entire forum dedicated to them, such as Gundam Wing: Continuing Legend and a few of the Fiction Based games. Others are single threads, such as Carrick the Steady.

All games are split into their appropriate genre. If you notice on the forum index, we have Fantasy, Historic, Futuristic, and Fiction Based. If something doesn't fit under any of those categories, it would go under the forum titled "Everything Else".

There are a couple other forums, such as In There, that are special. I'm sure if you read the description on a forum, you'll see what each forum's purpose is.

And as far as creating your own game - you'll just need to click "New Topic" at the top of the forum that you want to create your game in. It is YOUR game, and you are welcome to have mostly any stipulations and house rules you'd like. If the game becomes crowded in just the one topic, a forum can be created and placed where necessary to accommodate.

This one takes place in AC 395. Humanity has extended its reach out into space and has constructed four cities on Mars as well as having constructed colonies around Mars and around Jupiter. Currently the JAF (Jupiter Assault Force) is attacking Mars. Read up and join if you so wish!

Thank you everyone for the advice and for the big welcome. I'll be sure to look around and browse back and forth to see whats here and if I'm going to join any premade games... or perhaps make one of my own.

I would recommend you look into the "In There" thread and get yourself situated there. It's a continuous "general" role playing situation. Think of it like as being a kind of "Lobby" area where most of the site-wide roleplays occur. It's a great way to get started so that we can get to know you better and vise versa. If you go to the chat, most of the time the "General" role play is what you're going to see unless a special event is staged for the other RPs. We call this universe the "Multiverse" since it can encompass any character from any plane on any level. The majority of this role play occurs within "Wing City" and the events and actions that occur to your character in this role play do not have to be reflected in other RPs involving that same character.

It's definitely worth joining in on since it's the most diverse. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I think you'll find this community to be very friendly and helpful. Creativity is encouraged, and if you have an RP idea please let us know. Our site creator (Eric, AKA Master/Arcus Sol) is very dedicated and is more than willing to help accomodate any needs to promote RP. If he's unavailble, feel free to ask any of the other Admins including myself signified in red letters on the index page.
