There was a cruise ship, one of the worlds largest and grandest, and it belonged to America. People would die just to be able to stand on the deck while it was in the dock. To ride it would be like going to heaven. Only the richest people of the world could actually afford to go on it and so for anyone of middle class or lower, to just stand on it would be a miracle.

A miracle come true for a certain lower class teen. Rebecca Wilson, simply because she could, entered a drawing to win a free world-round trip on the cruise ship. Out of the three million people that also signed up, she got chosen for the prize. The only problem was the fact that only she could go on the trip but her parents encouraged her to go.

Fully packed and quite eager to get started, Becca accepted the chance to go on the ship without a second thought. Some people looked down on her but there were a few that didn't mind or simply ignored her. Not that she really cared at first. She was simply too excited to be on the trip.

So what's she going to do when an unexpected storm comes up and the trip turns sour, leaving her alone on an uncharted island in the middle of the ocean with a barely sane stranger?

(I'll let you make the first post since it'll be starting off with your character. Let me know if anything needs to be changed. Also, if you wish, you may start on the island already.)

"Everybody! Put on a life jacket!" Becca looked up when hearing the captain said this. She walked up the steps on deck. The clouds were gray, rain was falling down heavily. Becca let out a scream as the boat tipped to the sidem not completely over, but just enough to just about throw Becca overboard. Becca reached for the last life jacket, but it was snatched away. She than got the foam board, often used to throw out to lost swimmers to reel them back in. She would just use this, it would be useful, right?

Becca stood up, she wobbled a bit, but gained her balance. She glanced around, her dark hair drenched. The boat tipped to the side, and this time Becca flipped over, the board going with her. She came up to the surface, still holding the foam board. Waves crashed over her as she held onto the foam board. Soon, she was in complete darkness, the board floating to an island.

Becca's eyes up, the sun's heat beat down on her wet and shivering body. Becca coughed up some water and sat up. She was in her bikini her only friends allowed her to borrow and a oversized t-shirt that belonged to her dad. She stood up and looked around, she than brushed the sand off her wet body and looked around, frowning. What now?
Kill Them With Kindness :D

The ship was a twisted wreck of debris. A few people might be found among the crunched metal or splintered wood but not a person would be found alive. If Becca were to look around she would find herself in a small clearing. A small, freshwater stream could be found nearby so she wouldn't have to worry about water supply. To the east (right) of where she stood she would barely be able to see a rim of trees which started a forest. To her left she would barely be able to see the edge of the island. And after that? Water for as far as the eye could see.

Becca might believe she were alone but if she were to start exploring and head over to the trees to his right, she would come across a river too wide to swim across but small enough that you could see the other side easily. If she were to follow the river, she would come to a lake after about a day's travel. On the other side of the lake would be a small, wooden house which housed a teen boy. Who the stranger was would have to be discovered, but who knew when Becca would stumble across the house.

Becca fought her way through the large pine tree, who obviously were fighting back. Becca came to a stop in front of a shallow lake. She glanced back, eerie darkness staring back at her. She let out a soft sigh and began walking through the water. Becca's head snapped up when hearing an odd noise. She was looking at a small log cabin, through the tiny window, she could see a boy, looking down at something.

Becca smiled, glad to find someone, and hurried to the cabin. She knocked on the front door, wrapping her arms over her chest as a soft breeze blew over her.

The boy jumped suddenly as he heard a loud knocking on the door. Looking up, he snapped the leather-cased book shut (not that he could read or write, though. He was just looking at it) and pushed himself out of the chair. Slowly, he made his way to the door as though expecting nothing to be there. When the door was opened, however, he found a girl standing in the doorway.

Becca would be greeted by quite a sight. The boy had wild, gray hair with a dusty appearance. It looked as though he had never brushed his hair or at least hadn't in a while. His eyes were a dull, dead, empty, lonely gray which every emotion he felt while, at the same time, masking everything. He looked almost like a wild wolf. His clothing was dirty, wrinkled, and just a mess altogether. But what stood out the most about him was his skin.

Pale. His skin was so incredibly pale it was as though he had been wrapped in sheets of paper. Sure his arms and legs were slightly tanned from being outside so much but even so, he was still incredibly pale. And his face was the palest of all. Like snow against a dirty-white background, it gave him an almost eerie look with the way the light hit him from behind.

And he was thin. He was so thin it looked as though he would break if something so much as even touched him. The unnatural paleness of his skin made him seem even sicker and weaker than could be thought possible for a human being. But he was human, that was evident. Despite his frailty and sick appearance, he was still most definitely human.

The boy stared at Becca with wide, surprised eyes. He clearly hadn't expected someone else to be there. After several moments of silence, he finally said, "Person...?" His voice was cracked, like it hadn't been used in forever. Cracked, dry, and, like his eyes, full of emotion while showing no emotion at the same time.

Becca stared at the boy, she titled her head to the side at his appearence. It was sad and hurtful to stare at him. "Are you hungry?" Becca said. On her way over here, she had began collecting several materials. "Would it be alright if I came in? I'm lost, got lost on a cruise ship." Becca admitted, shrugging slightly.

She sighed softly and looked down. "I'm sorry if I sound strange..." Becca said as she turned around, her intentions clear of her just walking away.

The teen watched as Becca prepared to walk away. At first he would do nothing, watching as she took the first few steps away. And then it was like something inside of him snapped, wrecking his thoughts completely. "NO!" he shouted, reaching forward and grabbing her shoulder. "Don't go! No leave. Alone! Now not alone!" His voice his risen to a scream as he panicked, afraid that his first and only contanct with someone else would leave him alone, again.

Becca turned to face him, she shook her head. "Okay, okay, I'll stay." Becca said calmly as she walked in. "This is a nice place." She said, setting her bag down on a table and dug through it, bringing out a couple of coconuts and some wildberries. "Are you hungry? I can make Berry Coconut Pie." Becca said.

"Food?" The boy had pulled away, the slightest hint of a smile playing at his lips. His expression was more of a confused look rather than happy. He approached the coconuts cautiously before lifting one up. Holding it to his ears, he shook it and listened the the sloshing sound within.

"It's filled with water," he said, pulling the coconut away from his face. Lifting the item above his head, he brought it down upon the table with a resounding crack! A small crack appeared on the tough shell but a bigger crack appeared on the table. "We must break open."

Becca smiled. "Maybe you should let me handle that." She said softly and took the coconut from him. She looked around and found a hammer. Where the crack was, she hit hard and it split in half. Becca quickly caught the one with the coconut juice in it, she than did the same to the other coconut.

After both were split in half, Becca put half the wildberris in each. She the end of the homemade hammer and sloshed it together. "Here." Becca said, handing him one of the coconuts. "Drink, its good and healthy." Becca told him kindly.

"Heal-thy?" he asked, repeating the word slowly while accepting his half of the coconut. "What is 'heal-thy'?" He looked at the food curiously before leaning his head forward and licking the edge gently. A pleased expression crossed his face as he continued to lick at the food. Soon, however, he pulled it away and set it on the table while moving to examine the window.

Something had caught the teen's attention. Something which probably wasn't good for either child. If Becca were to look out the window, however, she would see nothing except grass and trees. Threes, grass, and a single rabbit. But why would the boy be freaking out about a rabbit? The question was soon answered as three wolves shot forward and attacked the small animal.

Becca smiled as she nodded. "Healthy means something is good for you. Coconut Berry Pie is good for you." Becca told him as she watched. She watched him put the coconut shell down and she followed him. "That's just nature. On the food chain, rabbits are a wolves natural prey. If the wolves never feasted on a rabbit, they would be extinct, almost." Becca explained to him. "How long have you been trapped here?" She asked him kindly.

Gray eyes hardened and assumed a blank look as he watched the three wolves. "How long..." he murmured to himself before leaving the window. "I be right back," he explained, leaving the kitchen to enter a new room before coming back with a spear in each hand. A look was shot at his guest to show that she was not to leave the house for any reason. Nothing more was said as he slowly made his way to the door.

If Becca were to watch from the window, she would see just what the boy intended to do. One spear was placed on the ground before he rushed towards the trio of wolves, his mouth sealed shut as no sound escaped his lips. The way he ran was like a ghost gliding over the ground and it was evident that the wolves hadn't heard him until he came close.

It only took a moment and large wounds were inflicted upon the wolves. They let out a frightened yelp before limping back until they reached the forest. The boy watched them, preparing for if they decided to attack. Apparently they were outcasts since no more wolves joined the three. Instead the trio left and he was left standing at the edge of the forest.

Soon the boy was back in the room, one spear clean and being taken to it's home in the separate room while the other was left in the sink so the blood wouldn't get on the floor. Reentering the kitchen, he answered the question which had been asked just before he left. "Always."

Becca nodded, but watched as he left, spear in hand, she was going to go after him and keep him from wounding the wolves, but it was too late, she was glaring now as he came back in. "Why would you do that?! You just injured an innocent animal that did nothing to hurt you!" Becca exploded, suddenly furious as she looked at him, a glint of pure anger revealing in her eyes.

The boy snorted. "Not harm now," he said, looking out the window carefully. "Normally travel in large packs. If left alone, they come back again and again and again. And then they take over and kill." He looked back at Becca, his eyes quickly emptying of all emotion as though a light had just been flicked off. Dull, dusty, empty, gray eyes watched her to see if she understood that the wolves truly were a danger if simply left alone.

Becca rolled her eyes. "Whatever, I'm leaving now, nice meeting you." Becca to the nameless boy as she turned around and left out the door, heading away from the small cabin, tears stinging her eyes as she continued leaving the small house. She just wished that she was back home with her parents.

"WAIT!" The frantic cry broke the stillness of the air. The boy was running towards Becca, his light weight and long legs helping him catch up with her easily. Once he was right in front of her, he turned around and began walking backwards to match her pace. "Why do you go?" he asked quietly, his expression confused and hurt. "What did I do?"

Becca turned, her light brown hair following along. Her darker brown eyes looked into the boy's. "I've got to get home. My family will be worried, and I miss them very much. Why haven't you gone back to your family?" Becca asked the mysterious boy gently as she placed a hand on his cheek. She than pulled it back. "And what is your name? I'm Becca." Becca said, finally introducing herself to him, like the civilized citizen she was.

As Becca placed her hand on his cheek, she would find it unusually hot. In return, the boy pulled back quickly as though he had been touched by a burning object. "No family," he murmured slowly, turning away so that the shadows from his hair covered his face. When he spoke next, his voice had become hollow and empty, as though everything he owned in the whole world had just been violently ripped away. "No family to go home to. No family to miss."

Turning back to Becca, the teen answered her request for a name by placing his right hand over his chin in a very thoughtful expression. After a few seconds, his face twisted to show deep thought. As each moment passed, his thought deepened and it soon became clear that he either didn't know his name or he didn't even have one. Finally he looked up, a triumphant grin on his face, as he answered, "Silenced!"

Becca laughed softly. "How about Travis? It seems more suitable, after all, when he leave this damned island, you'll need a actual name. Travis is the name of my little brother..." Becca said, her laughter disappering, Travis. He died when he was five years old. A bad brain tumor. He went to sleep. and just never woke up.

Becca shook her head. "How long has it been since you've been cleaned and fed?" Becca asked, tilting her head to the side doubtfully.
