i have a way to introduce my character and it could have been done either before the story starts or it can lead into it. basically, I want my character to have a pretty fierce loyalty to the captain. the reason being that he saved her from an ambush or something of the sort. and she owes him her life. Therefore lies her motivation for being with him and on the ship. she can be both his body guard as well as the position i applied for on the ship. but like i said it'd have to directly involved with @LordTalbot character and i'd have to get his permission to make this happen. once I get the answer then I'll pretty much finish up my character and turn her in.

EDIT: just read the post. probably would be best if the captain saved the girl while he's going into town. if agreed i'll let LordTalbot decide when he wants it to happen. and could I get an approximate year that this is in? at least an era so I can now what guns are available.

Late 1700s. America exists but not necessarily with the Constitution. And you're missing a small thing in your skeleton, so if you'll check the rules and sheet and adjust it, I'll accept your character.
Also, just a note: the Master Gunner is also in charge of the cannons

alrighty. sorry about missing something. was multitasking and must have overlooked it. and being in charge of cannons is an easy fit since she went to the academy and most likely learned how to operate them from there. and i'll adjust the weapons to fit the time period.

I understand, I multitask a lot too. Thanks for adjusting it to be historically accurate!

okay, i think i'm fully done with the CS now. i had to do a lot of research into the weapons to make her name still fit. luckily, i found a gun that was made in the 1700s that fits what she does as well as it being manufactured in her homeland. So i'm all ready to go! took a little longer than i wanted cause a big fight happened right in front of the cafe i'm at and i had to give a witness report since i was sitting 2 steps from the door. :P an eventful day so far!

Hey! Sorry for being late to the party. I work 42 hours per week <:D
Also escargot
Sorry about that, I knew I was forgetting something. My CS is all done now. I can imagine most of the crew picking on my character. It'll be amusing. He so doesn't look or seem like pirate material but he loves the sea and feels as though his soul was placed in the wrong body. :'D
Don't worry he will be a might fine surgeon! -whips out the hacksaw-

No prob AppleSauce! I'm looking forward to your character.
I'm definitely glad you applied, Bravo. The more ex navy, the more conflict. And I love me some conflict.

I feel like i need to do the same. the slang i used for the sailors was something I got from Assassin's Creed Syndicate, The Tales of Redwall, and the Beka Cooper series. basically a video game and some books. but i'm also gonna have to research exactly how firearms are loaded back in those times. I'll only get away with them being preloaded for so long.

I thought you guys had already managed to get out another one, oops.
Ah, good to know I'm not the only redwall fan about these parts! I'm probably gonna need to bookmark some myself, since it's been a while since I've read much pirate-y stuff.

My main piratey knowledge comes from highschool, AC: Blackflag, and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Granted I live with a history major, but still. I had at least 3 tabs open during that intro post to make sure I was being accurate.
