Master's Tournament

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Remæus on Tue Feb 14, 2006 10:22 am

"I am announcing the creation of a new fighting tournament, to be held in the same manner that tradition dictates." Master said, pausing only to reach up with his left hand to brush back his fiery red hair.

"The tournament will be held when we have 16 competitors, and progression will take place in a single-elimination format." he again paused, this time to place a sheet of paper on the table.

"This sheet of paper stands as a contract to enter the tournament. Fare thee well."

The paper reads:
Master's Tournament

The tournament will be held in a single elimination style: You get one chance.

The ring will be a circle of marble one hundred feet in diameter. Once a match begins, if you touch the ground outside of the marble platform, you lose the match by a ring-out.

If either fighter causes the death of a spectator or their opponent, after the match has begun, he or she will immediately forfeit the match and the opponent will advance to the next round.

There are to be no weapons used once the match begins.

There is no limitation on skills and feats used once the match begins.

A loss is counted when the opponent is unable to continue the match, admits defeat, or is knocked out of the ring.

Upon signing up below, you will be matched with an opponent once the quota of 16 participants is reached. At this point, the tournament will commence.

OOC: Each match can be speed or turnbase, obviously to be agreed upon by both parties involved. If you guys can't come to an agreement, I can mediate.

Have fun, everyone.
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote:If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.

Master reaches down and signs his name with a wipe of his hand, letting his energy flow through his hand and magically etch his name into paper.

"I look forward to seeing the rest of you at the tournament."

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Soldier_Rain on Tue Feb 14, 2006 3:29 pm

Rain lays his palm flat to the sheet of paper, his body and face showing no sign of any magical discharge. As he withdraws his hand, however, two words of elegant script are inscribed in a ice-blue color.

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby SinfulSoul on Fri Feb 17, 2006 11:53 am

An elegantly dressed creature glides toward the paper. His feet are covered in a black and red chaotic cloud of moans and screams acting as a pedestal that seems to stem from hell itself. His pale almost feminine skin is quickly shaded with the rumbling clouds that charge forward where ever he goes, blocking almost all sun light above him. A concentrated bright red mist takes the place of his pupils which set their gaze upon the piece of paper in front of him. His right hand moves in an orchestrated set of waves as if controlling some unseen object. On the paper a bright amber signature is branded onto the paper. Then in traditional Draken fashion, he bites his right thumb and smears a drop of blood over his signature. The amber letters of his name suck in the blood as proof of an authentic Draken signature, and cool from the amber glow to a deep red.

Amaedus Draken

Amaedus then looks up at the names of the other participants so far and lets out a low demonic growl from within the depths of his soul. Almost instantly he is sucked through the black pedestal that supported him and into the ground back to his Draken mansion within the depths of hell.

Donny simply writes down his name on the paper, not including a last name. His tail sways calmly left to right.

Wandering into the room in her smashing new flare jeans with, trimmed in pink thread and her sparkling pink and while, single cross-strapped top, she shoves past Donny as she makes her way to the table that holds the paper upon it.

Standing before it, she reaches deep into her left pocket. Bitting down gently on her tongue, giving off an expression of concentration, as she searches through the pocket. Finally, pulling her hand out to reveal her choice of a writing utensil.

Her marvelous jumbo, blue, glitter crayon.

Lowering her hand to the paper, she places her John Handcock upon the sheet, across the next vacant line. Smiling once finished, her crayon name masterpiece is finished.

Turning, she places her crayon back into her pocket. Exiting the room, while once again, gently pushing past Donny on her way out. Only to turn her head back, peering over her shoulder at him. Giving a casual wink before actually exiting. The door closing shut behind her with a click.

A scarred hand gripped the door panel, the gold and black "}{" tattooed against the palm easily hidden from view. Using it as leverage, Derek tugged himself inwards. With each pounding step, he neared the paper, the all too familiar grin across his thin lips.

Both hands raised in the air as he arched his back, yawning in the process. Ah, it'd been good to stretch his limbs, death did that sorta' thing to people. As he lowered, he dropped his right hand towards the paper, taking the pen beside it.

His smirk only widened as he debated for a moment, his real name, or a fake? Maybe it was better that everyone knew he was back, yes, his real name. Derek Masata, it appeared so strange inked against the page.

He turned about, facing the door as the scythe at his back clinked against it's sheathe. He exited jus' as he had entered grinning like the Chessire cat. Yes, this was gonna' be fun, great fun indeed.

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Gelatinous Cube on Mon Mar 20, 2006 11:46 pm

A gelatintous cube bounds his way into the waiting room, blobbing his gooey-ness all over the paper, smudging the names quite illegibly. He then jiggles a bit and bounds off into the corner of the room.

"Wiggle wiggle, woob woob woob..."

OOC: I've changed the ranking system to allow EVERYONE to use it, click rankings up top to use them, if you'd like.

It should be fairly self explanatory, but do beware of errors and clicking things twice.

You don't have to use them, but it DOES auto-create topics in the "Battle Records" forum and helps me test things out, as well as creating a nice place to store a transcript of the match.

If you do get an error or have a bug to report, PM a copy of the error to me, and by all means necessary, don't click the same button twice until you're sure the request didn't go through.

Again, you don't have to use them.

Patience, I believe a week is necessary... but you might want to contact the person you're fighting outside the forum, they might have lost touch and not known that the tournament is running yet...
