Immorality of our souls?

This is an essay I recently completed and I thought it would be good to see what other people's opinions on the matter are. Do you believe we have a soul? Maybe you believe in reincarnation? There are so many beliefs and different variables, there is no true correct answer. Now please don't turn thi...

Re: What makes you the most cross in RPs?

Another one I see. Characters who work in a professional capacity but do stuff that there is no way anyone could ever get away with. Now, I don't necessarily mind the 'bunny ears lawyer' trope, that is someone who is very good at their job to the point where they're forgiven some unorthodox aspects...

Ramblings 1 - Vocabulary and Description: the dos and dont's

One of the most common problems that I have seen around the net is that of stilted prose - or a lack of proper balance within the written text - that inevitably leads to a lack of emotional connection with the reader. More often than not RPists look to the ideas of Detail, Vocabulary, and Emotion as...

[Guide]5-2 Method of Character Creation

It felt right to make my first instruction the very discussion that brought me to this topic, that being the 5-and-2 method of transforming an archetypical character into a multifaceted character. There seems to be a great many role-play characters floating about the web that are very nearly carbon ...

Looking for help

Hello, my writing has been limited somewhat over the years to drama and fantasy. Although combat is but indeed part of fantasy I have never partaken in an actual purely based combat thread where the winner was not decided already OOC. I'm looking for a mentor so to speak, someone who can tell me wha...

Re: That's Limericking Awesome!

There once was a man named Sydney
He was missing his right kidney
His left took a jolt
From a lightning bolt
He didn't last long, did he?

Bel-Thuran

Chapter 1: Bel-Thuran The sun dipped down past the rising spires of stone and marble, the last faint reflections of its light smeared faint and wholly lifeless across the clouds long-since bloated on the soot-choked smog of the city. Bel-Thuran blazed beneath the twilight’s last dying embers and its...

Let me answer your points for you. 1)I would suggest that, one you dwell on some of your positions A) Everyone has their own opinion to topics and this is one side of it. 2)two you make your voice heard somewhere else because this doesn't seem the place A) This place is for the writing of the creati...

Requiem for the loss of Innocence

What you eat is not what you think it is. What you buy doesn’t come from where you think it comes. Your government doesn’t serve those who you think it serves. Your illusory liberty is bought by slaves. And finally your truth and values are fabricated like the programs you watch on the TV. If all yo...
