Re: Help please!!

I edited this thread to take out all the posts that were flaming, FYI. As for the topic, Vivi, Black Dragon is right. If you were to go out with her, she would probably do the same to you. I wouldn't even stay friends with her, as her behavior show she is not a trustworthy person. Someone lies about...

Re: Do you Believe in ghosts?

I believe in the human subconscious. No Amen. There are things that scientists cannot explain YET. I mean fer chrissakes, people used to think the Earth was flat, that it was the center of the universe, and that the sun revolved around it. We are constantly proving how little we know about our univ...

Re: Has this ever happened to you?

Um, what? There are no such things as poltergeists or ghosts! I'm serious. If anybody said a house or something was haunted, I would spend several nights in the building just to prove them wrong. All that "ghosts, vampires, etc." stuff is a load of trash, IMO. Also, if you were being held...

Re: Who you think should be president.

McCain.

I'm sorry, but you couldn't pay me to vote for Obama.

I don't even really like McCain, but he's the lesser of two evils in my eyes.

I don't plan to list my reasons here. I'm having far too many headaches just from the Christian debate thread. I don't need more from this one!

Re: From a Christian Perspective.

But it seems to me harsh that according to the Bible I will not be allowed to go to Heaven because a priest would not baptize me as he didn't believe that I was committed to his religion. The priest you were seeing doesn't sound like a good one. Let me tell you a little story... I have been baptize...

Re: From a Christian Perspective.

Can I ask a question of all the Christians here? Well, two questions, actually. I've always wondered and I asked my R.E teacher once and she said: "You wouldn't be allowed in Heaven, you'd go to Hell"; but she was pretty much a lunatic, so I wanted to check it with you people. I'm just cu...

Re: From a Christian Perspective.

Now, to change the direction of this thread a little, I'd like to throw in the infamous question...If you do not believe in God, how do you explain the perfect formation of our universe, with life on Earth, the sun in the middle of our solar system, the countless masses of land in the universe arou...

Re: From a Christian Perspective.

It is not literal. Duh. -_- I really think if you want to debate about religion, you need to have read the Bible and have had some knowledge about it, especially if you think communion is a "cannibalism thing." I'm considering anything you say in this thread totally null and void now, as y...

Re: Can I just say...

Good lord you guys are negative. I plan on looking into who is going to direct it, the budget, where they are filming, who they are casting, etc. before I make any damnations on the film.

Re: From a Christian Perspective.

Which brings me to the other point. There is no way to know one way or the other if there is a god or not. People can have faith all they want, but there is no proof. Therefore, for all we know, we are living right now with no god to keep us in line. This is a cruel world, and many people find sola...

Re: A Few of My Favorite Things

I picked up a manga this morning that I could NOT stop reading. It's called "In the Light" or "Within he Light" or something like that. It's about a mother who discovers her child is autistic. It's a heartbreaking but inspiring story about a problem that pays no mind to internati...

Re: South Carolina/Georgia Area RPGateway Gathering

Okay, ignore all the posts in this thread before this one. I just didn't want to start a new thread. Eymber is in Texas now or something, and this thread is super old. So just...don't pay attention. I just thought it be fun to have a thread for people in the southeastern-area of the US to chat and p...

Re: From a Christian Perspective.

My goal wasn't solely to sway your opinion. It was partly to argue my own, and to get out what I consider truth as well, so I'm not too disheartened or offended if I did not sway you. :) It was a nice short discussion, though. I am glad I could finally post here without fear of being flamed, and hav...

Re: From a Christian Perspective.

I know in the bible it says stuff about the sabbath and all that. One line that I know is, "Keep the sabbath day holy." Or something very similar. I know it says that you technically do have to go to church the only thing is if you were/are they way I was when I was christian then you jus...

Re: From a Christian Perspective.

Oh my goodness, there are so many things I could respond to in this thread, but I think I'll explode if I do more than one at a time. I am...what I would call a "Non-Devout Christian", simply because of the fact that I do NOT go to church. That, in my mind, excludes me from being a "D...
