Monster Hunting in Barren Landscapes

Starting from scratch as a regular human, you are cast into a barren world where there are greats beasts and no plants. By hunting beasts and eating their brains, you absorb their traits and grow in power.

Fire, Death, Pinetrees

A group of abomination dispellers were hired by a village to destroy a black thing, but they failed miserably: the village burned to the ground, all but a few villagers and over half the dispellers died. The rest scattered into a nearby pine forest.
