Re: Describing Clothes and Appearance

Just describe the appearance of the outfit. What stands out in it? What are some identifying features? Anything distinct? Take a look at one of my characters, Antheia R. "Antheia R. is a young Human necromancer who appears with shortened green hair and pink skin. She appears to be 14 years of a...

Re: Pokemon Play-By-Post Campaign

Yup. Access to the PDFs is in timewarp's post, and the original post now. Glad to see the interest! I have enough of you interested now where I can make the RP, and we continue there the discussion among other things.

Pokemon Play-By-Post Campaign

Greetings! I'm BBClock, and I'm looking to see if I can get anyone who's interested in a Pokemon RPG. It'll be a Play-By-Post, and will be using the PTU System, a Game System designed for Pokemon. Information on it (as well as a free download for the Rulebook, Pokedex, and Splats) can be found at th...

Pathfinder Play-By-Post Session

Hey everyone! BBClock here (call me Ben though, please)! I'm putting finishing touches on my latest Campaign, taking place in a fictional world called Iteria. I was wondering what takers I'd have, and if anyone else would be interested in this. It'd be a Flavor / RP heavy story, so there will be les...

GM's Hospital Visit

Hey everyone, I was in the hospital from June 3rd at 12am until June 10th at 5pm. So I wasn't able to monitor this RP. If anyone still has interest, I've got little to do as I recover, and will monitor this RP daily. Remember to read the Rules and Introduction too. Browse the existing NPC character...

Re: DEVELOPMENT OOC Thread

I am so interested C: I don't know much other characters to submit in a spy-esque mission then the infiltrator to be honest... They could be an expert in anything, as long as the expertise brings something to a mission. I remember this Spy game I played that literally had one of the members special...

Re: DEVELOPMENT OOC Thread

Wow, this has a great premise and incredible potential! I just have one question! How much 'realism' are you expecting these characters to have? Judging from the NPC's you're controlling, I can see that you're wanting a more sci-fi vibe, but how much 'fiction' are you tolerating (something along th...

The NOT Armory

When the agents of the Nivand Operations Team list the items they bring to the team (if any), I'll add to the listings here, so y'all know what each person has access too. Additionally, various NPCs and the Boss will provide equipment too for you guys to employ on missions. So check back often! How...

Re: New to the Gateway

Welcome to the site! I enjoy Pokemon RP too. Stood out to me. Glad to have you onboard for everything here though. If you have any questions, feel free to ask around. People here are generally very friendly. If you find yourself interested in any Pokemon RPs though, let me know too.

Re: Dungeons: Monsters vs. Puzzles

I personally feel it is neither of those that you mentioned at the end, but rather, a third option. Fighting serves a purpose. To challenge the party of characters and test their mettle with might and magic. In a D&D campaign, this is also how a large chunk of experience is awarded to ensure th...

Re: BBClock's Guide to Explaining Magic

Wow, I'm impressed by the responses I've gotten. I understand each of your points, and they are all valid. I apologize if any wording I chose to employ was in a way determined as implying that this solution and explanation is a catch-all "must use my way". I did not mean it to that extent...

BBClock's Guide to Explaining Magic

So, throughout my Roleplaying, I have found, not just here, but elsewhere too, that people don't quite understand how magic should work, and they oftentimes argue over it, or make some bull up to try and slide things that aren't capable by the radar. There are other problems too, but I think I have...

Re: The Mug Behind The Madness!

Well, I suppose it was long overdue. So here. Me. At a retreat towards the beginning of 2011. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/newuploads/5da87.jpg Then me at a friend's birthday party. Compare to the above, and it's clear which one is me. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/newuploads/819bf.jpg Lastly,...

Re: Stat-based RP fighting?

I ripped off of Paper Mario on a couple of veritable points. 2nd Grade Math, Addition and Subtraction. No funny "distributing" points and other business. Regardless of the character or weapon involved, all characters are on an equal field. And accessibility and flexibility, as you can mol...

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

Why don't I just barrel my way in with my Faction (The Attecians) to try and distract him? Creating a diversion might give me the means to get them into the Factions thing, and at least dent the myriad of troops he is trying to use.

Re: Legend of Aeranis

Fallacy wrote:Hm... might be interesting. Does this roleplay contain any classes or statistics?

I feel I'm going to get this one a lot.

Stats are non-existent. They bog things down.

Classes are for base reference. They prevent us from having wizards swinging claymores larger than they are.

Legend of Aeranis

Rumors have surfaced that the city of Oranis was discovered deep beneath the ocean, and that if the Pumice Stones are found, the city can be risen back to the surface. The rumor further states that the Stones are hidden all across the various surrounding islands, deep within jungles, ruins, caves, ...
