Re: Westward Bound

I'll be getting a post in at some point today. I wanted to get one written this morning, but life interfered. Glad to see this coming to life, though, and will happily add to it in just a bit. :)

Re: Looking for 1x1 partner or small group

For your western characters, try Westward Bound? It's just starting up, with a few character pledges. No posts yet, but I'm submitting a character today and first posts will come in over the weekend, probably. I'd put a link to it here, but I'm fairly selective in my roleplays and posts here, so sti...

Re: Forth Rode the King

I've gotta say I've got a slight problem with an estimate of 50,000 trained conscripts in a city that houses 200,000 people in Sundregn. At its peak, Constantinople had a standing army of between 120k-150k in a city of over a million residents. I understand you're pulling people from the countryside...

Re: Music For When You're Melancholy

The album Swing Lo Magellan by The Dirty Projectors came out last summer and helped carry me through what turned out to be the most difficult year of my life so far. I was already a fan of the band before it came out, but then they released the best album I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, ...

Re: Forth Rode the King

I'll be amazed if a Warden agrees to meet lowly merchant in his own home... Me too. :P As for the inspiration for the Orites, it's a mixture of a few different cultures. The Ryukyuan/Okinawan, as you've stated, was definitely an influence. Past that, it's a mixture of the Nias and Naga peoples. I l...

Re: Forth Rode the King

Yeah, it's all good! I appreciate the criticism, the discussion, and the acceptance. Now, I've just taken a little more creative freedom with my latest post, and I'm looking forward to seeing the response. :P

Re: Forth Rode the King

The printing press wasn't actually used much until the Protestant Reformation where German Bibles were being printed and the Holy Roman Empire began to convert to Lutheranism. We're still on 13th century tech so that's quite far away in the timeline. Ah London, Britannia's capital, the piss ant col...

Re: Compendium Penumbria

I've edited this post extensively over the past few hours. If you've read it before 07:10 GMT, much has been added. Sorry! Coupons: That was one hell of a post but I have to point something out. We're in a medieval time frame, as I understand it, so the idea of publishing anything, at all, in any s...
