Zii was running, she knew she was late for the transport, it was her fault too. She was initially rushing her master, Tierge, to get ready more quickly.
"How much could you shove into a pocket dimension?"
Is what she thought initially. But now, seeing him move so damn quickly, running through the terminal, waving all security as if he had some kinda intergalactic super pass, we were almost a little too late to get scurried off on the damn shuttle because she was way slower that him. Maybe its because he stood so short and stout. But he was also carrying a giant mage hat with a staff twice his size.
Meanwhile she had her sword in the pocket dimension mentioned earlier. She has not master such abilities yet, so he was carrying all her stuff for he. She was in simple combat boots with a leather duster covering her athletic frame. Leather from head to toe. sexy, elegant. That was her style. So maybe she was little to heavy still? No, as they got into an open space where they could full tilt towards the terminal, she realize Tierge was just way faster than her.
"Hu-rry." Tierge's broken speech was thrown over his shoulder towards her.
She picked up the pace.
Kassandra slept for two days. She could sense her Dathasaur out being a...well, new species in it old habitat; seeing how as it no longer needed to be necessarily protect. Leading to a lack of needing to worry. In fact, she was surprised. It felt like, for whatever reason, she was somehow in a sort of meditative slumber of complete relaxation. Almost like...
She concentrated for a few seconds. Feeling out into the the world around her. She could sense the mana, she could sense the beings, and a creatures. She could sense unfamiliar metals, unfamiliar beings - probably droids of sorts. But this isn't what she was searching for. No. She would need to reach deeper. She intensified the sensing further, seeping into further unconsciousness. She could feel the molecules, nay, the universal makeup, around her.
She stretched the sensing to further than the few hundred feet around the hut. So that she could get a pin on the energy flow of the planet. Taking an almost bird's eye view of the energy flow around her.
She knew it....her fear was correct. Her energy absorption was really going overtime with the mana adjustment and conversion. This was what she got for feeling totally relaxed inside the hut. However, this was a good thing. Being able to relax around someone trusting.
'Guess it felt like home.' She reminisced, finally disengaging her concentration from the depths of her unconscious.
She knew she was able to wake up at anytime. But this was difficult to do whilst the absorption was being had. So that would need to stop.
She concentrated on the conversion being slowed and controlled. Until eventually she cut it off temporarily. Not having a need for anymore mana really. Although there wasn't a true limit to her conversion, because her gunblade simply used it to create bullets and a shield and etc; she had no desire to deprive the rich habitat of anymore precious mana.
Finally not having her body free of its...activities, she could awaken and go about exploring the land. Being in the deep slumber, she is sure she missed somethings. But that hardly concerned her. The only real concern was waiting on HIM to find her. But she was sure that would happen eventually.
"Wait...who is...HIM?" She thought aloud. Recognizing the familiar thought but not knowing the origin of why nor the 'who'.
Something about that made her sit up. Look around the very basic looking hut. Only to see no one at current...she shook her head and got up to step outside. She would call on her Dathasaur with whistle that would carry with it mana, forcing it to go further and reach the ear's of her mount. Waiting patiently and holding her now aching temple on the left of her face, she was quite desiring of food.
She would notice a rather spry moving creature dashing with incredible speed as she was rubbing her head. It would be moving so fast, not many would catch it, she was sure. But she could...however now wasn't the time. She was hungry and wanted to greet her mount.
Renton, being a long term citizen of Aschen knew one thing: there should always be order. However, from his perspective, it was incumbent on the citizens, countrymen, and officers to make sure that the one's who were being served were the people. So everyone should do thier part to ensure a safe country. Officials who served government were no different, they should serve with the best interest of the countries future at heart. Which should be the citizen's best interest. He should know...he retired from the positions in the military to live a life of the civilian; it wasn't that long ago that he was an honored officer that everyone thought was odd, yet intimidating and highly efficient at his posts.
Renton went from being a highly decorated fields operative, to office, to confessor. He was one of the few that continued to move laterally until he learned everything he needed to know and did everything he could; and then, he decided it was time to pursue his other interests just as doggedly as he had served his country. Play after work right?
This is how he got into botany and other things related to nature like bugs and animals. He was in a place of learning and having a little peace. He served his time. So he just watched the others serve theirs and helped where he could. However, in the 30 years he served, he was not at all comfortable with what he saw sometimes.
He never voiced it, he never questioned it out loud...but every now and again, he would feel uneasy by the actions of he corrupt more and more. Growing pains of servitude and law were absolute unquestionable loyalty...and watching what was once a cause you believed in slip through your fingers and turn into dust certainly didn't help keep any of that. He was now a hardcore believer in trying to formulate change, but he wasn't sure how to go about it. He wanted to take some time to have a vacation off planet to think about that. He had a ticket reserved and everything! However, they shut down the transport and locked down the planet a couple of rallies ago.
He knew he should take the opportunity to vacate whilst he still had the ability to. The port seemed to be open again, so there was the possibility of him being able to get his head straight before joining back as a confessor or maybe even council. He wasn't sure at current. After helping to spy on civilians during his down time from gardening, he figured he could unload his responsibilities to another confessor who was willing to take up the task. Whilst he goes for a quick break.
Renton had been thinking all of this whilst strolling around the city. He had been just watching and observing for the last couple of days, and he was eating lunch at the moment. Knowing the Confessor he left the office of, would probably love to find out that he was spying on his ex wife.
Lovely times it was to live in...
Zii and Tierge arrived inside, Tierge not breaking a sweat and Zii with a visible sweat gleam on her brow. She did not expect this to be happening at the moment, clearly she needed more training if running a dozen miles at thier pace got her looking like she does.
Marcey stood at attention. Attentive, still, and patience washed over her being. Knowing the anthem with every note. She focused solely on it and her next list tasks melded into the background momentarilu.
