Arriving in the bridge Jaxen frowned as he surveyed the room. No one was there. So much for introducing himself to the rest of the crew all at once. He turned and headed back out the way he had come. He thought he had heard some other people moving about the corridors as he had made his way here. Perhaps it would be best to find the crew's quarters and drop off his gear before he went searching for signs of life.

Making his way down the corridor Jaxen came upon what must be the various crew's quarters, lined up along one side of the corridor. A few were locked, Jaxen simply continued on until he found one that wasn't. He opened the door and peered inside. Pretty standard cabin for a ship this size, not too shabby. Jaxen walked over to the bunk, sat down and set down his bag and rifle. Probably best to start at the top, he had noticed what appeared to be the captain's quarters back near the bridge.

Back in the corridor outside the crew's quarters Jaxen walked towards the bridge. He came to a door on the opposite side of the corridor from the crew's quarters. He hit a small button near the door signalling to the inhabitant that someone outside sought to enter. Jaxen waited for a response.

Rei couldn't even get a word in edgewise with the doctor running the med bay, she was definitely a force to be reckoned with. Anti-nausea medications or other things had been the furthest thing from her mind when she had shown up in the med bay. Rei had perhaps naively assumed that it would be one of those quick once overs that involved taking her temperature and blood pressure.

"Ow!" Rei yelped not expecting the shock. "... holy.. what is it with you people?!" Swearing vehemently under her breath, she was clearly not enjoying Tiffany's tender mercies as the ship's doctor. It hurt, but not nearly as much as other things had in the past.

"Painful is the understatement of the day Doctor." Rei deadpanned. Had she really been that desperate to get away from the Aschen that she'd sign up under a flag other than her own? For as long as she could remember, she'd done everything her way and on her own. "I get you want to be thorough, but I can assure you.. I don't have any neural augments or anything fancy like that. Baseline as they come."

With a sigh, The captain nods at Rei. "Good flying there, Harkov. And welcome to the Crew. Now, let's plot a course to Canus, get situated and repaired, and then we'll look for a decent gig." Ean said with a smug little smile. "Stars know we're gonna have trouble from the Aschen after all that, so the sooner we get some more credits in our pocket the better."

"Oh, and Rei, don't forget to check in with Tiffany in the medbay. Also later, the crew's gonna have a party for you, standard procedure ya know. Welcoming and all that, gives em an excuse to drink my rum." He adds with a laugh As he makes his way to his personal quarters.

Shaking her head, Rei was astonished that they were even alive. "Yeah.. thanks.. I guess." She mumbled dumbly. Now came the adrenaline crash after everything was said and done. They had survived, with the ship and most of themselves intact; sure some of them were going to be a bit battered and bruised, but they were still there and hadn't been swallowed whole by whatever collapsing singularity they had ridden to freedom on.

"I was going to before... you know all that happened," Rei protested wondering if it was even worth the energy. She had the distinct feeling that Ean Falcor and the rest of his crew did what they wanted to do, despite what others thought.

Pushing herself out of the pilot's seat slowly, Rei stood still for a moment as her equilibrium adjusted. She still couldn't believe that she'd managed as much as she had, but there was a certain self satisfaction to besting that woman who had called herself "Marlene Angel" again. Even if it was still months later from the incident out in the Rim, and not on her own. It seemed that she had been right however, that there was some amount of safety in numbers, but for how long she didn't know.

"I guess I'll go do that now we're no longer trying not to die, and I really don't want a party." She added as she headed off down towards the medbay.

Jaxen set down his bag and leaned his sniper rifle against the wall. It was certainly an impressive ship. He was lucky that an opportunity to board a ship had presented itself so quickly now that he had a bounty on his head. Hopefully by the time the Ha'la'tha Crime Syndicate was searching for him in earnest he would be well on his way out of the system. Jaxen gazed around the interior of the ship a moment longer, then picked up his bag and rifle. Time to introduce himself to the rest of the crew and put a few million miles between him and Caprica City. With his bag over one shoulder and rifle on the other Jaxen headed down the hallway towards what he hoped was the bridge.

The best stories do not have just one or two characters, but all sorts of characters. You might not see them that often or know them that well, but the fact that they were there is what makes the story seem real.

After all, Life is full of characters, is it not?
