Being honest, I'm a bit of a loon, who busies himself writing, reading, gaming, and general time wasting. I typically find myself with outstanding ideas, (at least to me), and wish I had a whole cast of characters to play with in them, but only find a select few. Beyond that, I love fantasies, magic, dragons, etc. I'm also a bit of a Steampunk geek, (in case the name wasn't enough of a hint), but love myself a good amount of sci-fi nonetheless. Slice of life is alright, and sometimes I throw myself into it, but often keep it at arm's length, and off my table.
Romance isn't my strong suit, but I like characters who have some sort of connection. And I LOVE it when it's pulled off correctly. So, in general, I guess I'm more of a "character-driven" kinda guy, over "plot-driven". But I thoroughly enjoy both.
All that said, I'm a sucker for crisis, and dystopian worlds, bonus points if the characters still can manage a smile, and maybe a joke or two.
