Plot 2 sounds interesting in the familial aspect. I wouldnt mind joining something like that where a family (perhaps also supernatural but not specifically werewolves?) Takes in an orphaned supernatural.

I like the general idea of having to survive in a post war ravaged world, and trying to find a way to live in it and grow as a whole. This promised land sounds like it may be something biblical (not specifically related to our bible of course.) But maybe some dream/rumor that has spread far and wide...
