Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two IC

As they fought on, the match really began to feel like it was never going to end until one of them willingly conceded. Since that was obviously never going to happen, it seemed inevitable that the match would be decided by whomever could stay standing longer, as it surely wouldn't be long now before...

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

I'll try to get my post up either tonight or sometime in the weekend.

Just to give you all a heads up, I might be starting a new job this Monday. If my posting frequency slows down over the next couple of weeks, then at least you know the reason why.

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two IC

So even changing hands wasn't enough to take Jason? Somehow, that wasn't nearly as surprising as it probably should have been. So instead of a new strategy that caused a sudden upset, the match between two friends would just keep going. Exchanging blows, blades hammering into one another with superh...

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

To be fair, I think they both went back to the ship and neither are actually watching the match anymore.

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

At some point I want to come up with a name for Rayn's hand-switching style. As impromptu as its introduction was, I can sort of see it being implemented later as an official fighting style. I'll lso imply that the style itself proves rather difficult to master compared to the others, on sheer virtu...

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two IC

The Mega Flare did very little to Jason, if nothing at all. That was fine, Rayn expected as much anyway. If nothing else it would, at the very least, keep Jason focusing his Light into the shield. Powerful as it was, even the Light had to have limits, and surely couldn't achieve everything at once. ...

Should I continue the fight or are we waiting for reactions?

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

Please don't hate me for referencing this game but... I totally want this as the BGM for Jason vs Rayn! The context of the song for the game it comes from is a totally different situation than what's happening now. HOWEVER, the song has a certain... combination of both joy and finality to it that ma...

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

I actually checked out of curiosity, and the Chaos Blade thing happened back in Duckburg, which was all the way in July, 2011. Little over 5 years ago. Cripes, where has the time gone? xD

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

He doesn't have a second Keyblade.

Also, I don't blame anyone for forgetting about the whole reforging thing. That scene happened forever ago in terms of real life time. :P

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

The Dragonheart was technically destroyed a while back. Well, "destroyed" isn't exactly the correct word. It was "reforged" into a fiery-red Kingdom Key called the Chaos Blade.

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two IC

"Tell me who they were when we're done here. I wanna find those sons-of-bitches and give them hell to pay. They won't get away with this, Jess, I promise you that." Rayn said to Jessica, fire igniting in his eyes. Of course, whatever thoughts of payback he had were interrupted when Phil po...

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two IC

Rayn listened to the whole affair with Hades and Persephone, but said nothing. He stood in stoic silence, hands jammed into his pockets and watched the whole thing go down. He couldn't bring himself to clap or cheer, though. No, he didn't hold any grudge toward Hades at this point, his disappointmen...

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

Y'know, after rereading my post I just now realized that Rayn's last attack was extremely reminiscent of an Iaijutsu strike, like something out of a Kurosawa film. Damn, that's an inspiration I didn't even realize I had. lol

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two IC

Rayn could afford no opportunity to observe anything happening on the outside. The Heartless he faced would not allow it. He could see the faint glow of its eyes zoom about within the fog of darkness it spawned, still circling him like a predator stalking prey. Rayn felt something, an idea of sorts,...

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

There's actually not a whole lot to tell. The actual name of the Heartless is either Dark Hide or Red-Eye (I've seen it be called both, depending on who you ask). It's a Pureblood Heartless, meaning it naturally comes from the Realm of Darkness and lacks the Heart-shaped emblem. It attacks by swipin...

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

So um... Rayn is fighting this thing now. If you've ever played Birth By Sleep Final Mix, you'll know exactly what Rayn's in for. If not, well, then you're in for a bit of a treat.

Oh, it even comes with its own unique Battle Theme: Hunter of the Dark.

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two IC

Given the ferocity of the lion, and Hades' description, Rayn was given little opportunity to respond or react to any of the conflict going on outside the barrier. The lion wasn't some human competitor who might have had something to say before starting the battle. Instead, its predator instinct kick...

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

Well, considering the length she went to to completely isolate herself from the rest of us, I'm going to assume she prefers to deal with this on her own. Besides, Rayn has his own problem to deal with at the minute, and even if that weren't the case he still doesn't have the means to help Jessica an...

Re: Kingdom Hearts: A New Beginning, Part Two OOC

It already is a one-on-one. Rayn was the only one who got in the ring, Herc stayed where he was. And now there's a barrier keeping anyone else from jumping in, courtesy of Hades.
